View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Bold 9000, and I can't seem to connect to BB Device Manager. It's recognized on my computer as mass storage mode, but it won't connect to Device Manager, and just says Connect your Blackberry device.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhile trying to update my apps this morning, the 9700 hung up, as did the Desktop software.I rebooted both. The device works partially but I am missing key features like the browser. When connecting to the device through either the desktop software of the web, I enter the password, which appears to be accepted, then the device hangs again.I can't update or remove the software.I get connectivity through 3G but have no browser.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBold 9790, running 7.0.0.609. Desktop Software 7.1.0.32. Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1Per the subject, I cannot connect my 9790 to the Desktop Software via Bluetooth. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software (with a reboot inbetween) with success. When pairing the phone with Windows, it detects and attempts to install 3 drivers. The only one that is successful is the modem profile. No other drivers are installed. The Desktop Software does not see the phone. If I attempt to install the phone through the Desktop Software initially, it will see the phone, however the same problem occurs with the drivers.I should also note that the phone is set to always connect to the PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated my BB 9700 for the first time (511 updates to be exact). The upgrade is currently at 11 out of 12 upgrades and it is taking about 45 minutes to initialize before it gives me the message: "The desktop loader is unable to connect to the device, you may need to enter a password on the device."
The BB is not asking for password and I do not have any password protection on it. I have unplugged the USB from computer and the phone, reconnected and clicked retry and it continues to give me the same message 45 minutes later. I am freaking out a bit because it cleared all my contacts off and I believe the process it is trying to do is to restore that information.
I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I have been using for about 8 months.
I generally sync it about once per day with Microsoft Outlook using the Desktop Manager through a USB connection.Today it would not sync! The PC recognized that I had plugged it in so I am assuming the USB cable is OK.The bar on top of the Desktop manager shows "Disconnected" and the bottom left corner of the Desktop Manager shows my connection as "none"If I try to sync it, a Device Connection box opens up asking for the PIN but does not allow me to type anything into the box.
I have rebooted both the Blackberry and PC a few times to see if this would solve my problem - did not work.
I have also tried other USB connections on my PC.
I have not loaded any new software onto the PC recently, my antivirus program is up to date.
I have read through the help files and cannot find anyway to get it to reconnect.
What do I have to do to get Connected? Do I have to reload the Desktop Manager software or ?
I have a Blackberry Storm 3590 which no longer shows anything on the display;it is black.I desperately need to retrieve my photos from it.I believe they are located on the "internal" storage partition, as they are not located on the Sandisk media card that is installed. When I attempt to view / retrieve the photos from this phone via the Blackberry Desktop Software (ver. 6.0.0.40) I get the following message:"You need to turn on mass storage mode from the connected Blackberry device to use this feature. This may require you to reconnect your device."I have fully charged the battery & removed / installed the battery numerous times, but have had no luck.I was able to see the pictures the first couple of times I connected the phone to my laptop.

I was told that if I do a master reset to remove the data on the phone and try to restore again I may not be able to restore everything I have alrady backed up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to be able to mirror my xoom screen on a desktop monitor for small group presentations at job sites. I've viewed some of the threads on hdmi to vga, hdmi to dvi and hdmi to hdmi, but am a little confused as to which is easiest. It looks like if you go with hdmi to vga you'll need some type of converter, not just a cable? If it was just a cable that would be perfect.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed the desktop software on my 64-bit Win7 Home Premium PC in my administrator user account and made changes to the setup (e.g. deleting languages and AOL and messenger apps) then exited and switched to my normal user account to get into contacts and calendar setup, since I use Outlook in the normal user account. The details of my new BB showed up greyed out but 'connecting' went on for ever and I had to use Task Manager to close it down. I guess I have to start all over again and do all the business in the normal user account so is there a reset?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was backing up my blackberry torch last night and the connection was disconnected during the backup. When the phone restarted the message "App Error 606" / "Reset" came up. I can't do anything on my phone except for reset it, and pulling the battery does nothing. When I try to connect it to blackberry desktop software it wont connect... I left it for an hour and it still just said that it was connecting.I also tried connecting to BBSAK and it couldn't connect there either, so I can't reset it to factory settings. I checked the desktop manager and it recognizes the USB port as connected to a blackberry device but that is about as close as I can get to connecting to anything.I have a backup of all of my information from before this happened so I don't mind completely resetting my phone, but I have no idea how to do this without being able to:
a) connect it to the computer
b) do anything except reset on the phone

To try again, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect your device with your USB cable."then whenever i click update > blackberry 6.0 (which is recommended), it would stop at "Loading OS" and quits by itself.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter recently updating the Desktop Manager to 5.0.1, the Redirector no longer operates. When opening it, i get the error message."Desktop Redirector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry..."
I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
My iPhone 4 is in very good condition. But this morning i was on my phone and it froze. So i just put it down and waited for it to go back to normal. A few minutes later the screen went completely black. I though it just turned off so i pressed the home button but nothing happened. It was at about 80% battery so i knew it didn't die, but i tried plugging it in to see what would happen.
My phone made the sound that it usually makes when I plug it into a charger but still the screen was blank. I tired to plug my phone into my mac to restart it in iTunes but it never connected. It only connected to iPhoto. I've tried holding down the lock and home button until the apple logo came on the screen but it never did. I don't know what to do. I know I should take it into the apple store but I want to try to get it to work at home instead of having to go all the way out there.

My settings are correct to allow for mass storage sharing. I have tried battery pulls and reboots and different settings and the device does not prompt to share not auto share. I am not able to view the device in "Finder" or "My computer" as an external device. It recognizes and connects to Desktop manager both on a PC and Mac (however, the prompt comes from the desktop and not the device. It used to work please tell me what i should be doing to correct this.
