BB Curve :: 9360 Stuck Backing Up Data With Desktop Software?
Oct 7, 2012
I connected my blackberry curve 9360 to my computer via blackberry desktop software for the first time today and it asked if I wanted to update my device.
I clicked yes, then it started the first stage of updating and it has frozen backing up 'Database: Options (3 of 21 items)'
Is there a way to unfreeze it or would it be safe to eject my phone and try again?
I got the notification on my phone telling me to update so I clicked yes, it started backing up my data (or so the screen says) but then got stuck at 11% for AGES. I tried to exit out of it or do anything but it wouldn't let me so I removed the battery, but then when it rebooted it just went back to the 'backing up your data' screen, and is now stuck at 7%. I tried removing the battery again and leaving it for a while but still no luck.
My phone just wont connect to desktop, I have the phone registered wiith it, and it shows up the name of my phone and that its connecting, but that stays on forever and doesnt actually connect..
My phone asks me where i want to charge, Usb or media sync. and my computer asks if i want to open the files but really all i want to do is use desktop manager. Ive tried the Device manager method, ive uninstalled and reinstalled i dont know what to do?
I am having trouble connecting/syncing my Blackberry 9360 with the desktop software. After I select my phone from the list of devices an attempt is made to install all the needed drivers. 2 of 3 install automatically. The 3rd is 'not found'. I would imagine this is the problem. So far I have researched and attempted every possible fix I could find on the Internet, including manually selecting drivers as directed.Without this driver the desktop program does NOT SEE my device. Even so, I AM connected with my computer via bluetooth. I can force files to be be sent and/or received between my phone and computer but would really like the automatic ability to have everything synced without the need to plug in a cable.
tried downloading upgrade to OS 7.1, but my BB 9360 stuck in backup, it doesn't work, I can't use DM either, it doesn't connect to the BB, I don't really know what to do, everything I've tried is useless. I tried an hard reset but each time it starts over the backup and it stops on 14%...
My blackberry curve 9360 has been stuck at 8% on a software update for 2 days now and I cannot do anything with it. I've tried taking the battery and sim card out and nothing happens. The radio is off and nothing is coming through...
I looked at my phone there was an icon saying software update clicked on it done it all then it came up this may take a few hours so I left my phone it's now been 4 hours backing up data and is stuck on 7% for the last 2 hours what do I do? I tried asking the battery out it just goes back to the same thing and same percentage?
I use a blackberry 9360 Device Edited content to comply withCommunity GuidelinesandTerms and Conditions of Use. using Cosmote Greece network. The last two months it seems from my accounts that I have used more than 400 MB internet using blackberry net. The impressive think is that it hasn't changed anything in the way I use me phone and the extra applications installed in me phone are whatsapp and facebook (these application were installed and used by me long before these last two months). How can you explain all that charges? Is something wrong with blackberry net or it has to do with me network provider? For example it seems in my account that in a specific day 14.06.2012 at 14:55:15 i used 115061 KB through Blackberry net and some seconds later at 14:55:22 I used 9 KB through internet from my provider?
My blackberry curve 9360 constantly has the data arrow in the top right hand corner flashing, even though I have not sent anything. The blackberry logo that is also normally there is disappearing and reappearing constantly as well.I am not able to send nor receive messages.I have tried rebooting and removing the battery several times, however this has not worked.
Everything else seems to be backing up just fine, but I consistently get a message saying that not all the files were backed up. When I click on the details, it shows that the browser cache was not backed up. I'm using a Bold 9000 with BB 4.6.0.304.
Organizer sync is finally working now that I switched to the single image 32-bit Outlook 2010 instead of click-to-run. So, the desktop software shows my last sync date, but still keeps coming up saying I have never backed up the device. How do I get the browser cache to back up so that the software stops trying to do a full backup each and every time I go to sync my organizer data? This is quite annoying...
I installed the NokiaPC Suite but when my phone is plugged in and I click back up I get the warning there is no Nokia device plugged in ? As well I get this error; Your phone is in file transfer mode and cannot be used with PC Suite, Quit file transfer mode from the phone
My phone is a blackberry 9360 and I don't have a plan but I am connected to a wifi. The problem is that whenever I open fb, app world or the browser it keeps on telling me that I need to turn on my data services.
Using the Desktop Software, I attempted to update my Blackberry Device Software. It has been going for about any hour, and has been stuck at module 428 of 457 for about 50 minutes. It says that if I disconnect or interrupt, my device could be unusable. What should I do?
I've an iPhone 4s 64gb iOs 5.0.1 for 3 weeks now, but still can't sync it w/ iTunes at all, I've tried iTunes version 10.5.3.3 and version 10.6.1.7 but both of them stuck on backing up (step 2 of 6).
I'm using win7 64bit. Reseting the iPhone and reinstall iTunes doesn't help at all.
And when I plug the iPhone4s to the laptop the lockscreen slider (where it used to say 'slide to unlock') didn't change to 'slide to cancel sync' or something like that (if it should have been that way) but there's two arrow circling on the upper left of the screen tho.
I loaded software updates and then went to instal. The message said it will take 2 hours before the phone can be used again. Its now 4 hours and its stuck on 8% overall backup and not moving on social feeds. I removed the battery, but every time I do that it goes back to the back up. What can I do to abort this, so that I can use the phone?
I recently had to reboot my Blackberry and lost all data. Luckily my desktop was fairly updated...with the exception of the Password Keeper!! I cannot find anywhere on the desktop application where this data was stored...and I have like 30 passwords. Anyone know if and where Password Keeper data gets stored on the desktop during a sync?
I have connected it to iTunes and it asks me whether I want to back it up from the date I last synced it and I said continue but it isn't putting my music, apps or videos back onto it.
I recently had a pressure crack to the LCD on my Curve 8310.I need to access my stored passwords in Password Keeper, however since the LCD is toast, can't read anything on the phone.I'm waiting on a replacement LCD, but need Password, ASAP.Is there any programs to view the program on the pc?
I just downloaded the desktop manager for my new windows 7 machine - I use outlook. When I try to configure my data files. an error message tells me it "cannot locate message stores" Does any know where my outlook data exists in the windows 7 world? I cannot locate it.
So I had an older Curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3g. The older phone has malfunctioned, and I can't use the keypad, but it still recongizes the software when plugged in, and i can charge it - this is why the data couldn't be transfered from my old phone to the new one at the Verizon store. So, I want all the contacts, my to-do lists/memopads, etc transfered into the new phone using Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista). So i selected the 'Device Transfer Wizard" from the main menu, and followed instructions - i get an error message that tells me, basically, I "need to remove some applications from my existing device because there is not enough space on the new device to accomodate them:" I don't get this - the new phone has 256mb memory compared to 32mb in the old phone, and I don't even have apps on there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the old phone and all it showed me as having was Facebook. So, I tried un-checking various boxes on the screen that asks what i want to transfer, and even with them all un-checked it still tells me there is not enough room to transfer.Am I doing this wrong? i just want my contacts and to-do lists transfered to the new phone - I don't know what this thing about the "applications" and such is about but I just want my data transfered.I will say that the Blackberry Manager application that I have is very slow, non-intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the **bleep** to work with - I would think that a slick tech company like Blackberry would have a far better program than this "Blackberry Manager".. I am impressed with the Blackberry phones but dread using that Blackberry Manager every time I need to (such as when putting anew ringtone on my phone).
I need to factory reset my wife's Iphone 5. I followed the instructions that suggested I sync via Itunes. In the process of doing so the sync acted funny during the sync. So I repeated the process. Now my wife's phone has pictures back on it that she had uploaded to you Macbook Pro to create space on her phone. It also downloaded back to the phone all the categories she created on her Macbook Pro for her pictures.
Before I factory reset her phone I need to be confident I backed up her data correctly. Especially her contacts and most importantly her pictures.
As soon as I bought my mini-pro I got messages saying that the software needed updating (why, its a brand new phone?) I have tried updating via the PC Compnanion but that is useless and and I get absolutely nowhere. When I queried this with Sony they said its a common problem ( ! ) and I should update the software online. They did warn that this might cause loss of data and so I should back-up the data on the phone first. When I asked them how I do this no-one bothered to reply. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to do this as Sony aren't interested.
I tried to download the new update via wi-fi but it has frozen on backing up data and I cannot access my phone, tried connecting to blackberry desktop but wont connect either.
I've tried to update to 2.1 twice (once via PC Companion and once via SE Update Service) but have had problems with the new 2.1 after each attempt. Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Is it possible for me to revert back to 1.6? How to try and successfully install 2.1?
For about a week now I've had an alert pop up on my phone stating that my "Storage Space Is Running Out". Â Today is the first chance I've been able to connect my phone to the PC. Â I'm trying to export my photos from the phone to my PC so I can clear some of the memory ... how I go about this? Â The second issue is that with my phone plan, I have a 1GB data limit a month and I have a widget on the home screen telling me how much I've used etc. Â The other day I got a "Data Usage" alert on my phone, which I have set to 1GB and to warn me when I'm near my limit (I've set to alert me when I have 100MG remaining). Â I don't want to turn mobile data off. Â I have my phone automatically connect to wifi when at home.
When I try to sync the contact list from outlook I get the error "unable to read application Data". I can sync my calendar, tasks and memos from Outlook, but for some reason I have problems with the contacts. I have a Curve 8520
