BB Curve 8300 :: Reload Software 507 - Keeps Restarting
Apr 8, 2010Recently my BB8350i broke, it just suddenly restarted non-stop, it restarted for about 4 or 5 times then it looked normal, and ever since after that started to reboot itself. I read to reload software using Desktop Manager, but ever since I tried doing it, it gets stuck when it's Loading Module "net_rim_cldc.cod" and right at the middle of this process the phone restarts. I think I did this process for about 50 times already. I tried reloading the software unsuccessfully, phone keeps restarting.

Feb 8, 2010I'm new to the Blackberry Forum and would really appreciate some help! I bought a new blackberry, installed the OS from the Black Berry Website, but the desktop manager had no applications on it. My blackberry did not have blackberry messenger and notepad/memopad. I was able to download blackberry messenger, and that does show up on my desktop manager now, but I haven't found a notepad/memopad to download. Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I can get a notepad on my blackberry?

Apr 12, 2010So why does Desktop Manager force me to use it? I despise Outlook and have for years. I've always used Thunderbird for email. If Blackberry wants to squirrel away my data in Outlook, I guess I can't do anything about that. At least it is somewhere. But why is Desktop Manager incapable of locating Outlook unless it is set as default email? I'm about tired of setting it just to sync my calendar and then resetting it when I am done.

Recently I upgraded my Desktop Manager to Version 6.0.0.40 and now I can't transfer media files to my Curve 8330.One thing I tried was to update my device OS to 4.5.0.175, this did not work.The DM shows that Media Options are not available,that I have to trun on mass storage mode from the device.Under the options menu on my 8330, I open Media Card and sure enough Media Card Support is On, Mass Storage Support is On, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode is On (I've tried when I switch to Prompt, but that did not work either).I've removed the media card, reinserted it, reformatted it, made sure it was recognized by my device (it is), so obviously the problem is with the Desktop Manager. With previous versions, I had no problems with Media Sync, only with the new DM version. The DM will recognize my device when plugged in via USB and I can sync my Organizer with no issues.What else can I try to get my DM - Media Sync to work with my 8330?

When at the loader app, the "waiting to initiate device" step, my phone turns on but with the error and the loader doesn't recognize my phone and asks me if I want to retry or cancel everything. I have tried a bunch of methods out there on the other forums, but they didn't work.

Now when I try to sync, I get a message that over 600 of my past calendar items will be deleted if I continue with sync. I need to keep previous calendar items, is there a way to solve this problem and not delete past events? I am sorry for asking this question, I am just new and very unsure of what I am doing. There is also a rectangular symbol with a circle around it and a line through it.I have never had a Blackberry so I am at a loss. I was surfing around and I have found conflicting information. I am going to download the Blackberry desktop software onto my computer and my instinct is telling me to download software V.5.0.0.459 (his sister has this on her Blackberry). Feb 10, 2011I was backing up my blackberry torch last night and the connection was disconnected during the backup. When the phone restarted the message "App Error 606" / "Reset" came up. I can't do anything on my phone except for reset it, and pulling the battery does nothing.When I try to connect it to blackberry desktop software it wont connect... I left it for an hour and it still just said that it was connecting.I also tried connecting to BBSAK and it couldn't connect there either, so I can't reset it to factory settings. I checked the desktop manager and it recognizes the USB port as connected to a blackberry device but that is about as close as I can get to connecting to anything.I have a backup of all of my information from before this happened so I don't mind completely resetting my phone, but I have no idea how to do this without being able to:
a) connect it to the computer
b) do anything except reset on the phone

Jan 29, 2010I had downloaded Opera mini 4.2 and iheartradio and slacker radio and they all worked perfect for the past 3 days and then all of a sudden they do not work. I get timed out of logins and even google maps app on my phone wont connect. The only app that will connect to the internet is the BB browser (the one that looks like a globe with halo around it). There are no other apps running causing a clog up. There is 6.8GB open in memory, so im stumped????? Someone please help me Im racking my brain trying to figure out what would cause this. The last time it worked was in the morning listening to slacker, then went to lunch tried to get on Opera wouldn't connect, so i got on BB browser, from then on it wont connect with any other app.

Jan 26, 2010I've been experiencing the following issue on my Verizon Curve 8330 for approximately the past 2 weeks, ever since I upgraded from 4.5.0.138. I'm currently running 4.5.0.175 (Platform 3.4.0.55).In approximately 80% of the calls I make or receive, I get a very sharp, very loud feedback noise in the call. This occurs if I am using the handset, the speakerphone, or a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 520). Callers have not complained about hearing the same noise so I believe it is just on my side. The noise can happen at any point during the call and often occurs in bursts - say, 2 or three "chirps" in the span of a couple of seconds. I've wiped the handset completely twice and clean-installed 4.5.0.175 from a local copy. It has had zero effect on the issue.Any suggestions?

Jul 12, 2010After trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) Iīm a little bit upset.
The problem: I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesnīt complain.But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but thatīs not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
So I tried following:
I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB)
I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that thereīs somehow a bug in my handheld? Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.
By the way, I have the latest OS:
Package Version: 4.5.0.312
Consisting of:

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.

Sep 7, 2010With the latest software update (V5.0.0.807), my Yahoo icon is gone. Cannot locate it.Also, after I perfomed the update, all of the preloaded and my downloaded ring tones are not recognized. States ""invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" for every one.
Now my phone won't ring, or alert for SMS or email, or direct connect.Video camera also appears not to be functioning. Getting an error message of "Error Playing. device media processor is busy." when nothing else is running.
