my device gave up all functionability on Friday (BB Bold 9900). Its database is restored at BB Protect. Vodafone needs 3 days, to send me a new device. The last backup at BB Protect is dated with 08/01/12 I would like to save the whole backup on my iMac in my office which works with MAC OS X 10.7.4What can I do to save these Informations from BB Protect on my Mac and am I able to work with them?
I used Protect on my old 8220 and backed up all my contacts.I lost my 8220 but checking Protect website, my data is there. Problem is, I can't run Prtoect on the new Bold 9780 I bought, which makes the whole Protect idea kind of useless.I was on the phone with a Rogers Tech Support person, but there was nothing we could do to get Protect to run on my Bold.
I am unable to log into the blackberry protect. Every time I click on blackberry protect, it prompts me to click open blackberry protect. It will ask for my I'd and password. I have tried putting in the password several times but I am unable to login. Initially I thought I had forgotten my password or putting the wrong password .....then I changed my password but I am still unable to login I am not sure of the problem.....
I recently installed BlackBerry Protect on my phone. I think it's a great app, with tons of potential to be useful. The only thing I'm a little unsure about is that in order for it to work properly on my Bold 9900 I had to disable encryption. The question I have, which I hope someone out there can answer: is that a big deal/ is it a smart tradeoff? I don't know that much about encryption, but it sounds like something I would like to have (Can you ever have to much security in a handheld?)
My BlackBerry Protect system has gone into overdrive it wont allow me to access any app updates, update various settings etc because i cant sign in to it. i know i have the right password but even tried changing it and it must be right as my 'remaining attempts' isnt increasing. i just keep getting the error message "unable to log in to your account" can this be fixed? i really dont want to have to restore factory settings to try to fix it, its taken ages to program it all?
I have exceeded the number of attempts to verify my password for blackberry protect .... n now I'm unable to login to my app world n blackberry protect ... also I am unable to edit my blackberry ID due to the login problem .... I have tried rebooting it yet no changes .... currently my wifi is on .... each time I try to edit my Blackberry ID (under the option>device>blackberry ID) , it says i have exceeded the number of attempts to verify my password , try again in 15 minutes, when the security lock out time ends .... even after 15 minutes it still says im unable u to unlock it ... n the same message appears ... and also under the blackberry protect it shows:Blackberry ID :
I cannot install BlackBerry Protect on my BB Bold 9700.Message comes up saying it cannot be installed on a device using Enterprise Server software.Where can I find this info on my device and can I remove the Enterprise Server software?
I have intalled BB Protect Application on my BlackBerry Gold 9700 5v and saved last data in its Backup which is available in BB Protect Website. Due to some reason I wiped all my Data from my Device and I reinstalled BB Protect Application when I open it for setup I couldnt find restore option. Although it said "select the BB Data to Backup" but I want to restore my pervious data which is shown in BB Protect Website.how can I restore it from BB Protect Websit?
I've recently bought new Bold 9900 phone and it is great. But now I have little problem with Blackberry Protect service. When I setup phone first, I have setup Blackberry Protect service as well and it worked fine. But then there comes update of Blackberry Protect to version 1.1.1.50. Since this update was installed, I can't connect to Protect service anymore.Bold wants to do a new setup of Protect service when I launch the App. This looks good, but after "Blackberry ID" screen it freezes at "Connecting to Blackberry Protect" and this status holds there for couple of hours and nothing happens (on 3G and on WIfi also). I have tried to uninstall BB Protect and then reinstall it.
i already have my 9700 password protected and everytimes i plug my 9700 it will ask me for my password. but my question is, if i remove my sd card and plug it into my pc, it doesn't prompt me for any password. wtf? where is the security, rim? i though one of ur selling point was blackberry is a secure device?
After make the download and installation of Blackberry Protect on my Bold 9000 i received the follow messege:Smartphones that uses Enterprise Server doesn't have compatibility with Blackberry Protect.
I cannot validate my blackberry (bb) id credentials when i want to open bb protect. i have already received email regarding changing the password considering my password is wrong. then i make the new password. then i try again to open bb protect. the result is the same. i cannot validate my bb id credentials.
This morning I retrieved all my information from protect except my bbm contacts now I've lost my phone contacts? How can I retrieve this information again
However, when I uninstalled it, I couldn't find how to re-install it again as the "reinstall" button doesn't appeaar anymore whereas I can easily reinstall other apps that I have uninstalled...
I have a new Bold 9930 on Sprint and I actually erased Blackberry Protect. It is not in My World in App World. I looked no App World and cannot find it. Is there anyway to reload, download or restore it again?
I read about the Alt+Enter to lock the phone and have the password instantly activate. But is there ANY way to have the Lock button on top of the 9700 to lock it and password protect it instantly? I know that with my 8900, the standby button does it instantly but there is no standby on the 9700.It just doesn't make sense to me why locking it from the home screen and the alt+enter would password protect it right away, but the lock button at the corner makes you wait.
After numerous problems with BB I've cut my losses and got an iPhone. All my contacts are backed up on BB Protect as problems with my BB meant I couldn't back up to BB desktop software. However now I can't access them.My provider (vodaffone) transfered my SIM to a MicroSIM to use with my new iphone so the original normal sized SIM I have is no longer functioning meaning I cannot use the BB handset to download the contacts from BB Protect. We tried to do this in the Vodafone shop with no success as BB protect wouldn't recognise the new device and wanted the old one which I no longer have (I've had 5 in 7 months). All I want to do is get a list of the 300 contacts locked away in BB protect in any form. I don't even care if i have to sit and type them all in again..
Afternoon, my blackberry was stolen last night so i have gone onto the blackberry protect site to wipe up my data, etc. but the site shows 'add device'. my device is not showing? i know it was definitely installed on my phone because it always used to tell me that my backup was successful after backing up and also, it is on my blackberry app world.
My BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone
I had a BB bold 9700, i backup all my files using desktop manager without specifying anything, now i got new bold 9790, i tried to restore the backup file using the desktop manager, after restoring, the backed SMS only appear, any idea how to troubleshoot this problem?
I backup the pictures separatly as jpg.rem, and transferred it to my PC, any idea how to transfer it to jpg?
if BIS outage is somewhere having problems? while the mobile data connection of my torch is normally working for almost all the apps and also it can navigate on internet, the app named "blackberry protect" is not connecting. I noticed that also another application, whatsapp, is timing out while connecting.
I am trying to understand how I can protect my personal information stored in Outlook Contacts from being stored on my employers enterprise server? The blackberry torch 9800 I have is my personal equipment and I have several email accounts that go to it. However, I'm also on my employers enterprise server and they now have all of my passwords to various websites. Is there anyway to keep specific contacts off an employers enterprise server while still having them appear on the blackberry torch?
