Afternoon, my blackberry was stolen last night so i have gone onto the blackberry protect site to wipe up my data, etc. but the site shows 'add device'. my device is not showing? i know it was definitely installed on my phone because it always used to tell me that my backup was successful after backing up and also, it is on my blackberry app world.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed BlackBerry Protect on my phone. I think it's a great app, with tons of potential to be useful. The only thing I'm a little unsure about is that in order for it to work properly on my Bold 9900 I had to disable encryption. The question I have, which I hope someone out there can answer: is that a big deal/ is it a smart tradeoff? I don't know that much about encryption, but it sounds like something I would like to have (Can you ever have to much security in a handheld?)

This was quite a simple process when I had my old Samsung Galaxy S2 but it seems to be a little more tricky with the HTC One. I have tried a number of external applications (smartglass etc) and USB Debugging doesn't do the trick. How do I play a movie from my phone onto the Xbox? It simply doesn't recognize the phone as a portable device.

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my phone to my computer it makes a noise but doesn't show the iPhone under my computer it also doesn't charge the iPhone when it is connected to it except for a few seconds when I reboot my laptop. When I search under Device manager there is absolutely nothing there. I was attempting to restore my phone yesterday and couldn't do it on my phone alone nor when plugged into my computer so I restored it to a back up on another computer. Also every other computer I've plugged it into recognizes it right away but none of the other one's are mine please assist I don't want to lose all my app's and music thats stored on this computer and I'm going off to college in the fall.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried resetting my phone back to 8.0 so I could have the Cyan firmware installed on my 1020 along with 8.1 Update 1, however the program won't recognise the device:
The Software Updater for Retail says the exact same thing too.
How to rectify this? Or if not, any ETA on when the Cyan update can be expected to be available for Dev Preview users? I have a 930 as my daily driver now but, as an amateur photographer and filmmaker the 1020 is still a highly useful device for me.
I recently changed the password on my Yahoo email. I have been trying to change it on my Bold 9650 but to start I have to enter my ID (which I checked and is my email address) but when I enter it I get an error message saying that my "user name is invalid. A user bane nust be at least 4 characters." and I can get no further. I have verified my Blackberry ID and my username but nothing I do works. As a last resort, how do I delete my email account entirely and start over?

I installed the desktop software but it doesn't find it either. I have a Windows Xp service pack 3 and I already install Desktop Manager6.1, the problem is that the computer does not recognize any blackberry device, I tried with three diferents blackberry and no one works. Windows try to install it and later solicites a driver for the device, I alredy see in other computer what drivers the blackberry needs to works and copy them to my Windos Xp but still does not work, is there a driver or something for that windows recognize the blackberry?

I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

"The device does not have enough space for your selections. Select fewer applications."
I am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0.1. My phone actually has Application Memory Free Space 301.5 MB. My BlackBerry's version is 5.0.0.732. I cannot update or delete software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Further to that, when the keypad is locked it automatically unlocks after a few moments.My other devices would automatically light up when I remove device from jacket, now its on all the time and I am constantly dialing numbers unknowingly.

Problem is, I can't run Prtoect on the new Bold 9780 I bought, which makes the whole Protect idea kind of useless.I was on the phone with a Rogers Tech Support person, but there was nothing we could do to get Protect to run on my Bold.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated the Nokia Updater software after being prompted to do so, and now my PC doesn't recognise my phone (xpressmusic 5530) when I plug it in.Windows asks for software, but the only disc I received with the phone was the Ovi Suite, which does nothing to (re) install what's needed for the phone. When I plug the phone into the USB the phone itself asks which connection I want (PC Suite / Mass storage etc) but the PC now doesn't recognise it.
