Jun 29, 2010I am new here having jsut come from a BB Curve 8900 I love the speed of the new 9700 its a million times better. Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.

Jan 15, 2010i already have my 9700 password protected and everytimes i plug my 9700 it will ask me for my password. but my question is, if i remove my sd card and plug it into my pc, it doesn't prompt me for any password. wtf? where is the security, rim? i though one of ur selling point was blackberry is a secure device?

Jun 14, 2010I read about the Alt+Enter to lock the phone and have the password instantly activate. But is there ANY way to have the Lock button on top of the 9700 to lock it and password protect it instantly? I know that with my 8900, the standby button does it instantly but there is no standby on the 9700.It just doesn't make sense to me why locking it from the home screen and the alt+enter would password protect it right away, but the lock button at the corner makes you wait.

Jul 21, 2012I discovered that when I click Media/Expore only the Device file folder displays. The Media file is gone. My camera had 400+ photos on it, and now it says only 16 pictures available, with 0 items in the Camera Pictures. Not only that, the flash is continually lit, and the device gets quite warm, and the battery runs low quickly. I had not recently done a back up, but when I did, it indicated that there were no photos to back up! There is no SD card installed, never had one. I have pulled the battery multiple times, even over night, and nothing is fixed. The camera was working the night before, and when I went to look at the pics the following morning, the flash light was on, and the file and all photos were gone!

My BB has been playing up for the last 4 months (i've only had it for 10 months!!), and in the last week I noticed that whenever I use email, messenger, and texts all my letter 'i's are missing the dots above them. This is preventing me from sending emails as the letter is not recognised. So I figured I would backup and restore my BB to 2 weeks prior.
I can't backup to an earlier date without signing in, but as I said earlier I don't remember my password, and still no email with my password has been emailed to me!

May 1, 2012This would make it easier to track the phone in case stolen, And also have the time to remotely remove data in time, before it goes out of reach who knows where and what purpose?I understand the phone would eventually switch off when no juice on battery, but I hope Apple engineers would code this feature as it would make it harder time for criminals. My friends phone was stolen yesterday, and It was protected by a four digit code, and a bundle 24- months plan phone. So no one should be able to use it as a phone, or can this be overrided? Anyway, I wish Apple would make even more systems that would make it harder time for the criminals.

Aug 10, 2010I have created folders on my media card to store pictures. I can't find them - the folders or the pictures. The only folders I can find seem to be the album art that automatically downloads itself when I add music to my BB 8330. I can't find any of my pictures besides the ones that automatically placed themselves on the camera memory.
How can I make it so the pictures go to a folder on my memory card, completely skipping the camera memory? And then how can I find these individual folders? And THEN how can I stop the album art, which doesn't actually show up but makes its own folder on the BB.
This is becoming very frustrating as I thought I had followed a thread here on Crackberry and obviously have screwed something up. I hope these pictures are still there. I just can't get to them.
