Oct 25, 2010I have been trying to open the backup .IPD file in computer documents. One way to open files is with the reasearch in motion desktop manager, but I do not know where this is to open. Is there a free download that will allow me to read the text in the .IPD files?

Apr 18, 2011Having just moved from Nokia to BB, if I've missed something simple, then I apologize, but I've been used to having a Flight Mode profile. I can't seem to locate it on the Pearl 3G.
Can anyone inform me where it might be, if indeed it exists?It's not a major issue but it would be nice.
BB Pearl :: Protect Does Not Complete On 9100?
Dec 12, 2010My wife's Pearl 9100 has been having a lot of trouble backing up over BB Protect software, lately. It used to work perfectly fine before, but now it seems to start the backup and then it aborts after about 90% completion. Also the backup is extremely slow. The Pearl is connected through my home Wi-Fi router and we have 25 Mbps broadband connection, so there should be no speed issues at all, I would think.

Mar 23, 2012I have just upgraded my software via the internet to OS6 and although the new software is awesome, my app world won't open. When I click on the icon, the phone freezes. I have installed and uninstalled... inserted and re-inserted the battery many times. I have also tried to install an earlier version.
Also my protect gives me the following message: "Error starting net_rim_bb_dryad gui: Symbol 'Security.device Under Attack' not found."
And finally when I am typing in BBM or anywhere else I get a text imput error message. Murphy's law it's not coming up now when I want to post this. I love my BB but I want to be able to use all the services offered. My line of work depends on my phone working properly.

Apr 26, 2012I recently restored my iPhone4 on my Mac computer and I'm absolutely freaking out because my iTunes will not locate the correct backup (even when I left click on the iPhone icon in iTunes tool bar and select "Restore from Backup"). However, I can locate the file on my computer from the Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup. I've tried dragging it a bunch of different places/renaming the file to get it to show up in iTunes but nothing's working I saw that before I completed the most recent backup, it said the date before that was around mid-Jan 2012. The only backup file my iTunes can find is from 2010! My phone is not jail broken but if that's what it would take to get all of my data back.... I'm basically deserate.

Mar 1, 2011i have problem in restoring data i backed up before upgrading the firmware from 4.62 to latest 7.23 and managing a full restore of my quite old supernova 7210, as i wasn't able to let nokia pc suite recognizing the phone (error every time i plug the phone).i created an internal nokia backup file (NBF) with messages, calendar, settings and contacts.i updated the firmware and now i'm trying to restore everything i need.now the issue: i'm able to restore "contacts", "settings" and "calendar", but when i check also "messages" option, after 2% of completion the phone told me that there's "no backup file available".what can i do now?i know those NBF files are zip files; is not possible to create a new backup file and merge the old messages folder "predefmessages", stored in the original NBF-zip file, into the new one?

Aug 20, 2011I got a new blackberry pearl and connected it for the first time to the laptop, it said there were upgrades available so I clicked yes and now I am very sorry. 3 hours have passed and it is stuck on "Back up third party applications". What can I do? I don't want to disconnect the phone in case it damages it. Sep 8, 2010I attempted a jailbreak through jailbreakme.com but it didn't work and bricked the phone. So I restored to factory settings which put 4.0.2 on my phone. No biggie it wasn't that big of a deal to jailbreak anyway so I was just going to go back to my old settings on 4.0.2.
Unfortunately it backed up again real quick after updating and now when I want to restore from the backup it just gives me factory settings. I do have a big 8gb backup dated from before the jailbreak fiasco in MobileSync>Backup but I have no clue how to get it onto my phone.
