I followed the steps given to find evidence of backup, particularly of texts, but really cannot find that it is backed up anywhere on my computer. How to locate those files? I definitely want to keep them before switching over to my new iphone, since the new SIM card is not going to work in the old phone anymore....

I have Vista on my desktop computer. I see Xoom under "My Computer", I found "Device Storage" and started copying the files from Xoom to a new folder. All of a sudden Vista stopped copying the folders and daid it can't read from the device.ow after updating the drivers with Download Motorola 5.2.0 Driver with MotoHelper* , checking to see if USB Debugging is unchecked and pulling my hair out, there is no Device Storage displaying to access. View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently restored my iPhone4 on my Mac computer and I'm absolutely freaking out because my iTunes will not locate the correct backup (even when I left click on the iPhone icon in iTunes tool bar and select "Restore from Backup"). However, I can locate the file on my computer from the Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup. I've tried dragging it a bunch of different places/renaming the file to get it to show up in iTunes but nothing's working I saw that before I completed the most recent backup, it said the date before that was around mid-Jan 2012. The only backup file my iTunes can find is from 2010! My phone is not jail broken but if that's what it would take to get all of my data back.... I'm basically deserate.

Here is where I am having issues, when I start playing a playlist, if the song is not checked it will skip it (or in the case of some playlists none are checked and it will only play the one I double click). Now basically, i need to know how and where to transfer the Pearl theme to (while the curve is plugged in, and the pearl's micro sd is in it) then remove the SD card and put the SD card it in the pearl, then locate the theme.
When i open the folders for the micro SD card on the computer,(while in the curve) i see no folder for apps or themes. I transfer the alx and cod file into every folder there but i can't find it when i put the micro sd back in my pearl
The next thing ive tried was installing it as an app thru BB manager, it said it transferred ok, but i cant find it on the micro sd card (do they go right to the curves own memory maybe??)

When I updated my 4s to the IOS 5.1 the back up did not work. I had to restore since my phone was going wack and now the back up is saying it wont work and it will not let me sync. I switched phones a while ago and updated to iOS 5. When I got my new phone, iTunes correctly treated it like a new device. I have lots of pictures in a device backup file in iTunes (or do I?). (Location of device backups: Preferences > Devices) I can see the old device backups I did before updating to iOS 5 last October. my hard drive recently failed on my laptop , i used some software recovery tools to get the files back , meanwhile i also got a new i phone and want to use my old backup files on my new i phone .
on the files i recovered i went to the location mobilesync>backup>(the really long folder name) and in there are loads of other really long file names , but the problem is they do not say .mddata or .mdinfo , so when i go to transfer the files from the data recovery program to the correct folder on my new hard drive it jus says 2 files have the same name and to skip or rename them ,
