Huawei Nexus 6P :: Process To Load Locate And Play MP3 Files
Nov 19, 2015
Now that I have my phone back to the D radio, I am ready to move on and so I will ask a detailed question here : Where do I load mp3 files from my computer to my P6,, i.e., where do I put them? After they are put onto the phone and I am using a player of some kind, how do I get the player to locate the files it needs to play and then play them all one after another?
I used Wugfresh nexus root toolkit and went through the unlocking and root process. It unlocked fine, went through the reboot process. Then when I selected root and recovery I got to TWRP, swiped to apply the zips, it rebooted and never got back into system. Now it just hangs on the google logo. I can get into bootloader and stock recovery still as I attempted to reflash stock through the toolkit.
I was restoring a twrp backup and when it reaches "flashing system image" in the restore process it just reboots. Ive tried a few things but cant get it going. It just bootloops.
I am not rooted. I can access my phone through Windows 10. But I cannot see all my folders. The 2 that I am having problems with are my Camera and Music folders. Some of the files are there. When I use ES File Explorer I can see and access them fine. Right now I cannot pull off any of the photos or videos I take. This all happened after upgrading to 6.0.1. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers with the same results. I have made sure that USB Debugging is enabled. I also made sure that I had PTP and MTP enabled. Also upgraded to the latest 6P drivers for Windows 10.
No matter what I do I cannot see files over USB anymore! WEIRDEST thing I've seen in a long time... I can see FOLDERS no problem. Files act like they don't exist! I'm on PN, BTW...
I'm trying to back up Titanium Backup folder from phone (nexus 6p) without luck, I have USB debugg in developing section of phone + MTP enable to transfer files, I could see the internal memory with all the goods but not my root files, when use root explorer I could see " Titanium Backup folder ", My concern if I need to wipe phone I want it to have back up, any other way to accomplish this ? I do have a back up in the cloud, would I be able to use cloud backup file if need to ?
After manually flashing files to upgrade to 6.0.1, I flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0. But I am not able to flash supersu from sdcard because when I browse to the folder, it looks empty. Why this is happening?
Did a swap from a 64 GB 6P to a 128 GB and tried just doing a nandroid. That would've worked but the fingerprint reader wouldn't work without a factory reset. I also accidentally restores the old EFS in TWRP without knowing I shouldn't, but used the original EFS (did a backup on new device before transfer) and restored it back to what came the device.. So I did that and re-did everything and it seemed to have no problems at first. I downloaded some Google Music playlists, Viper4A + busybox, and at some point my phone stopped letting me modify the files.
Camera can't take pictures. Chrome can't download files. I can't add/remove files via PC. I can't modify files via file managers. I tried chmod 777 sdcard but it doesn't fix the problem. I tried reflashing the ROM and all, and did a complete wipe but restored the data (only) from TWRP - so the problem might be somewhere in there. I haven't changed anything from the setup I had on the 64 GB - it was working fine and then just stopped letting me do stuff.
I'll probably try a complete factory firmware restore then flash the ROM all over again, but wanted to see if there was a simple fix first.
I am using Windows 10. I have installed the latest Google USB drivers - downloaded and installed from here: [URL] ..... When I plug in, my device is detected, which proves that the drivers are installed.
1) When I touch the Photo Transfer option (PTP), I only get the DCIM and Pictures folder. If I open the DCIM folder, I see thumbnails of all my images. Some thumbnails show the actual image as well. However, when I open them, I get the following error: [URL] .....
2) When I touch the File Transfer option (MTP), I can open the DCIM folder, and I can see all the thumbnails, but I get the same error as above. [URL] .....
In short, I am unable to open any JPEG files created by my Nexus 6P camera on my laptop. I copied the JPEGs to my Desktop, and I tried to open the files, and surprise - I am STILL getting the SAME error!
The error is "Windows cannot find "". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I am able to open TEXT files, and other audio files from my device. It's only the images I have this error with.
I am used to my note 4 and how easy it is to play a movie from my mobile to TV....now with the 6p.....I haven't been able to play nor mirror my mobile screen to my Sony tv..
I am on my 5th charge, and Google Play services is my number one battery drainer.
I have location services, BT, on 24/7. I only connect to BT when in my car though, so 5% of the day maybe.
If I let me phone sit idle for about 4 hours, Google Play services will be the only thing that consumed battery.
So far i've tried disabling NFC, google hang outs, ambient screen. I am trying things one at a time to see what's causing it.
There are no wakelocks, because I click the graph and I show it's only awake when I am actually using it. GPS is rarely, if ever on. WIFI is never on, as I have green signal everywhere + unlimited data via tmobile. I also do not have any other always connected apps like facebook, or facebook IM, twitter, or whatsapp, etc.
on my previous phone (Xperia Z2) I can plug in to my computer via USB and copy files to/from the internal storage or SD card. When I plug my Nexus 6P in to the computer the same way, I just get an empty folder. I can't see all the files on the internal Android file system. Is this normal?
I'm having issues with the Play Store and some non-Google sites. I'm constantly noticing that Play Store gets stuck in "Downloading" when trying to update apps or install new ones and never actually starts until I completely restart the phone. Chrome also gets stuck loading pages that are non-Google sites, and I can't seem to download anything as they all get queued.
I tried clearing cache + data on play store, play services, download manager and even a factory reset. Everything works when I reboot, but after some hours it get "stuck" again, every day. Happens on wifi and 3G; what's causing it.I'm running stock Nov build with root (not systemless). Same exact apps and config on my N5 and no issues there.
My brand new baby is giving me a Bluetooth nightmare. After I use it with Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 headset and disconnect the Bluetooth (even if I switch off Bluetooth), phone audio won't come thru the regular speaker. However, if I switch on the speakerphone, then audio works. A restart fixes the problem. But it is super annoying.
On my battery stats page, Google Play Services gets up to 15% by the end of the day.. I have disabled syncing a lot of data and do not auto update apps. If you need any other info, just ask
I have a few Vietnamese song albums with album names, song names and singers are all in Vietnamese characters (unicode fonts). These albums have no problem showing it correct Vietnamese characters when played by Google Play Music app on my HTC M8 (running stock Android 6.0).
However, when I transferred these albums to my new Nexus 6P, names of the albums, songs and singers are not displayed correctly. Some, or all, characters are "replaced" by some strange characters (looks like Chinese, Koreans... characters). This causes one album now become a number of different albums (sharing the same album cover, but different names due to its album names are now spelled differently. Same problem happens if you sort by singers (one singer now becomes more than one). PS. English song albums are not affected by this.
I have the 128GB model and I was transferring 32GB worth of music over to my 6P and before it completed I was getting warnings that files couldn't be copied. I stopped it and then looked at the phone on my PC and it was saying it's size was 24.1 GB. It shows the same thing when I look at the storage on the phone. What happened?
Experienced this with the new Play Store. There books category is causing the app to crash every time I try to access it. If I delete the update it works with the old store.
I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?
Went through symbol number sequence on key pad and it gives me the MEID number instead of IMEI number. Trying to register my phone with sony but the number retrieved is invalid for this purpose. Also removed the Battery cover and tried the serial number ,also no luck there. Anyone else experiance this problem? And if so were you able to retrieve your IMEI number?
I followed the steps given to find evidence of backup, particularly of texts, but really cannot find that it is backed up anywhere on my computer. How to locate those files? I definitely want to keep them before switching over to my new iphone, since the new SIM card is not going to work in the old phone anymore....
I have a Pearl, doesn't connect to PC, no internet. My brother is letting me use his Curve to transfer a theme to my Pearl. Now basically, i need to know how and where to transfer the Pearl theme to (while the curve is plugged in, and the pearl's micro sd is in it) then remove the SD card and put the SD card it in the pearl, then locate the theme.
When i open the folders for the micro SD card on the computer,(while in the curve) i see no folder for apps or themes. I transfer the alx and cod file into every folder there but i can't find it when i put the micro sd back in my pearl
The next thing ive tried was installing it as an app thru BB manager, it said it transferred ok, but i cant find it on the micro sd card (do they go right to the curves own memory maybe??)
sent an off market file to my phone via bluetooth which did not install because i had not unchecked the 'install off market' applications.after that i now cant find the files location to install it.
Just got my xperia play (very nice by the way), and it alleges to have support for WMA files for music, however, when I try and copy these over I get the message saying the file needs to be converted otherwise it won't play ... is that correct? My last SE phone worked fine for WMA ....
The 3G issue has made the phone simply unbearable to use. I plan on keeping T-Mobile, actually happy with their service. My question is if I put Nexus One up for sale on ebay what will be my costs?150 to google *unsure how they would know the phone was sold*+?
Am I correct that each nexus one is essentially unlocked. Even though I bought it with a plan, if I get another unlocked phone and take it to a T-mobile store will I have to extend my contract? Better question is if I buy another phone under T-mobile will they extend my contract? I'm looking at the HTC HD 2 pending Microsofts conference on Monday.
My phone ran out of battery and now the apps stored on my SD card won't always show up. The card is fine as I can use my music. If I copy an app from SD to phone an then back it will show but when i restart the phone it will dissapear again. i have tried un mounting and re-mounting the card but no joy.
I have tried restarting phone, clearing cache, uninstalling updates, check the download manager yet Google Play still won't load. I just get a white screen. I have also tried to delete my Google account off my phone but when I click delete nothing happens. My snap chat was doing something kind of similar and it won't log in. This is starting to get really frustrating. I'm to the point I might factory reset my phone but I really don't want too..
