View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone can transfer files at normal speeds in bootloader mode. It can even transfer files fine when booting up to kit kat. the issue is even though it does all I mentioned, it won't charge (or charges too slow to matter) via USB connected a PC or USB to any AC adapters. I've tried many working cables and AC adapters...
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have this USB card reader which works fine in the 6P, I can view files on the SD card.
The problem is I can't write to the SD card. i want to be able to copy/paste stuff from my 6P to this external SD card.
I saw this thread about Total Commander which has promise but I still can't copy/paste from one drive to another.
Ideally I just want the SD card to show up in a program like es file explorer or root explorer so it acts like the phone has an SD card.
I am not rooted. I can access my phone through Windows 10. But I cannot see all my folders. The 2 that I am having problems with are my Camera and Music folders. Some of the files are there. When I use ES File Explorer I can see and access them fine. Right now I cannot pull off any of the photos or videos I take. This all happened after upgrading to 6.0.1. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers with the same results. I have made sure that USB Debugging is enabled. I also made sure that I had PTP and MTP enabled. Also upgraded to the latest 6P drivers for Windows 10.
View 8 Replies View RelatedNo matter what I do I cannot see files over USB anymore! WEIRDEST thing I've seen in a long time... I can see FOLDERS no problem. Files act like they don't exist! I'm on PN, BTW...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to back up Titanium Backup folder from phone (nexus 6p) without luck, I have USB debugg in developing section of phone + MTP enable to transfer files, I could see the internal memory with all the goods but not my root files, when use root explorer I could see " Titanium Backup folder ", My concern if I need to wipe phone I want it to have back up, any other way to accomplish this ? I do have a back up in the cloud, would I be able to use cloud backup file if need to ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter manually flashing files to upgrade to 6.0.1, I flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0. But I am not able to flash supersu from sdcard because when I browse to the folder, it looks empty. Why this is happening?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDid a swap from a 64 GB 6P to a 128 GB and tried just doing a nandroid. That would've worked but the fingerprint reader wouldn't work without a factory reset. I also accidentally restores the old EFS in TWRP without knowing I shouldn't, but used the original EFS (did a backup on new device before transfer) and restored it back to what came the device.. So I did that and re-did everything and it seemed to have no problems at first. I downloaded some Google Music playlists, Viper4A + busybox, and at some point my phone stopped letting me modify the files.
Camera can't take pictures. Chrome can't download files. I can't add/remove files via PC. I can't modify files via file managers. I tried chmod 777 sdcard but it doesn't fix the problem. I tried reflashing the ROM and all, and did a complete wipe but restored the data (only) from TWRP - so the problem might be somewhere in there. I haven't changed anything from the setup I had on the 64 GB - it was working fine and then just stopped letting me do stuff.
I'll probably try a complete factory firmware restore then flash the ROM all over again, but wanted to see if there was a simple fix first.
I am using Windows 10. I have installed the latest Google USB drivers - downloaded and installed from here: [URL] ..... When I plug in, my device is detected, which proves that the drivers are installed.
1) When I touch the Photo Transfer option (PTP), I only get the DCIM and Pictures folder. If I open the DCIM folder, I see thumbnails of all my images. Some thumbnails show the actual image as well. However, when I open them, I get the following error: [URL] .....
2) When I touch the File Transfer option (MTP), I can open the DCIM folder, and I can see all the thumbnails, but I get the same error as above. [URL] .....
In short, I am unable to open any JPEG files created by my Nexus 6P camera on my laptop. I copied the JPEGs to my Desktop, and I tried to open the files, and surprise - I am STILL getting the SAME error!
The error is "Windows cannot find "". Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I am able to open TEXT files, and other audio files from my device. It's only the images I have this error with.
I want to copy images from my phone to computer but what i have noticed is that it is not showing up all the images ! I have 697 images but it is showing only 297 images while connecting to PC. The images are there in Nexus 6P but it's not showing in PC. Tried both MTP and PTP, also tried removing and installing new device driver in PC.
View 2 Replies View Relatedon my previous phone (Xperia Z2) I can plug in to my computer via USB and copy files to/from the internal storage or SD card. When I plug my Nexus 6P in to the computer the same way, I just get an empty folder. I can't see all the files on the internal Android file system. Is this normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedNow that I have my phone back to the D radio, I am ready to move on and so I will ask a detailed question here : Where do I load mp3 files from my computer to my P6,, i.e., where do I put them? After they are put onto the phone and I am using a player of some kind, how do I get the player to locate the files it needs to play and then play them all one after another?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the 128GB model and I was transferring 32GB worth of music over to my 6P and before it completed I was getting warnings that files couldn't be copied. I stopped it and then looked at the phone on my PC and it was saying it's size was 24.1 GB. It shows the same thing when I look at the storage on the phone. What happened?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Win 7 when I connect my phone to the computer some files and folders don't show up even though they are indeed there. Is this a compatibility or driver issue?
I have rooted and installed the custom recovery everything is working fine, but this is just a little weird.
Apparently I lack sufficient brainpower to do something that, in my small feeble mind, I assumed would be easy: connect my Nexus 5 to a Windows 7 PC via Bluetooth so that I can access the storage files on my Nexus. Very specific, very simple, yet it does not work. I have searched everywhere, and I do not need a tutorial on how to pair them. I have them paired. That pairing does not do anything, it has no function.
On my Nexus 5, it says it is paired to my PC. On my PC, I have a fugly *** Nokia-esque icon that has "Nexus 5" under icon listed under Bluetooth Devices. I do not understand what else I need to do?
P.S. How do I find "Bluetooth drivers"? Windows update has no clue WTF to do, and like I said, I am retarded and lack basic reading comprehension since I cannot find any information that is relevant through searching online.
My nexus 5's screen is damaged and cannot access my phone at all but can turn it on.
Is there a way to access the files on my computer without going through the phone.
Cracked my screen on my Nexus 5 today (squeezed it in a door). The touchscreen won't work and you can't see anything except green and red stripes on the screen. Is there any possibility to reach the files from my computer even if i can't unlock the phone with my graphical password? It runs Android 5.1 and I haven't rooted it or anything. Very desperate to reach the data on my phone, have photos, videos and a diary from my year in Australia... Should think about back-up next time!

But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. Any way, how I can easy change files on my micro sd with Lollipop 5.1.

When I paste the Flac files into the phone, it prompts for file format not supported, then I click 'No, just Copy' and for all files. But then it only copies the first file (If I selected multiple files) and then freezes. When I cancel the process, the first file is copied successfully. I am using WIndows 8 and had same problem on WIndows 7 also.
