i had this phone for exactly 30 days now and it was great up until about 20days ago every now and then it wouldn't read my media card which i would solve by rebooting the device. now it wont read it any at all even when i tried another card it wont pick it up. it shows on the pc when i connect it during a reboot but then a notification comes up saying that a fatal error has occurred and it cannot read the media card and its one again.. by the way the cards were a a 2gig micro SD and a 1gig sandisc
I have me a blackberry bold 9780 and woke up one morning and it just stopped reading my media card wit some unable to access media card due to a fatal error. The card works fine in everything else I put it in but no card I put in the device works... Now it dose another thing asking format the memory card when it does still can not b used....
bold 9780 cannot run movies, streaming media because of ''media processor of device is busy.''i tried a lockdown, shutdown, reboot, change media-card. nothing helpsthe recived error cannot be found in help. in dutch, the error says: ''mediaprocessor van toestel is bezig.'' when i tried reboots the bold opend media without a problem. however, after then trying Internet, it gave back the same error. and i couldn 't acces my videos's also anymore. this problem only happens with video's and streaming media. not with music, photo's, ... i deleted my movies but it also did not help. what's the use of a bold if it cannot stream, watch video's anymore? must i really switch to my iphone again? this was not my firsy issue with rim mobiles.

2) When I switch off the network but turn on my WIFI with good internet connection, I just can't log in YM messenger or MSN messenger. Is this normal?
Bold 9780. Last night I received a notice that there is a update available for my phone (low priority) and I went thru the process. Now I can't access the media card any longer, went to Rogers and they told me "never seen that before and I should get in contact with Blackberry tech support. I did have a notice popping up for a couple of seconds reading (fatal error with the media card). Btw, I just inserted my Media card in to my old Blackberry (World) and I can access all files on the card....
My applications will not open on Blackberry Bold 9780 after downloading them from Blackberry App World. They complete the download, they are free apps. When I press the button to open the app, it does absolutly NOTHING. I do not know what else to do, so I have been deleting them off the 9780.
I upgraded google talk but after rebooting my BB bold 9780 doesn't detect media card and show me the message "A Media card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the Media card now? " and when I click on yes then it shows me the message "Media Card repair failed". I checked my media card in another device is working. How do I open a saved .ipd file that I backed up my Blackberry to? I washed my phone a few days ago and can't get it to start again. I was hoping to at least get some of my planner printed by using this file.
I discovered that when I click Media/Expore only the Device file folder displays. The Media file is gone. My camera had 400+ photos on it, and now it says only 16 pictures available, with 0 items in the Camera Pictures. Not only that, the flash is continually lit, and the device gets quite warm, and the battery runs low quickly. I had not recently done a back up, but when I did, it indicated that there were no photos to back up! There is no SD card installed, never had one. I have pulled the battery multiple times, even over night, and nothing is fixed. The camera was working the night before, and when I went to look at the pics the following morning, the flash light was on, and the file and all photos were gone!
my friend is experiencing severe errors on her bb 9700.
1. She cannot open any Pictures in her Media Folder. She can see the thumb nails but when she tries to open it to view nothing happens. Also when she clicks on the Menu button nothing happens either.
2. She can also play music on her phone but when she clicks the menu button nothing happens as well. therefore she is unable to send or receive music.
3. Also when she tries to change her BBM Picture she is unable to
4. When She puts on her bb the following error notification is seen: Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException
Her OS was downgraded to the OS that came with the phone 5.0.0.330 by her Carrier due to some bluetooth issues she was experiencing: that is she was unable to pair. Since the downgrade the issue never arose. We tried to Update her OS yesterday to the latest official release 5.0.0.743 to see if this would help but after we launched apploader it said that they were unable to automatically back up her information and the update was aborted. If there is another way to manually backup the phone can you please let us know?
also if anyone knows any solution to these problems, please respond. Any input would be truly appreciated.
I am unable to open pictures on my BB Bold. I can take pictures and do whatever with them right after taking them but when I go into the Media folder and try to open a picture or hit the "menu" button, it doesn't do anything. I've tried rebooting and pulling the battery but it won't open the pictures.

I am able to transfer media files (mp3) to the phone with my Ubuntu 12.04 with no problem at all. However, the phone does not recognize files when I go to Nokia Music application. Software says that all the Music "folders" (Albums, Genres etc.) are empty. I have tried putting the mp3 files in all possible folders ( music, documents etc) on phone, but no luck. I have also tried several different mp3 files.
