My applications will not open on Blackberry Bold 9780 after downloading them from Blackberry App World. They complete the download, they are free apps. When I press the button to open the app, it does absolutly NOTHING. I do not know what else to do, so I have been deleting them off the 9780.
View 9 RepliesI have problems with applications using gps with my bold 9780 i'm running os 6 v. 0.0.285 gps location i think is working as when i do refresh location in gps options i got new values for latitute and longitude even if satellite number is zero and accuracy is 1098 meters (which is one kilometer!!) I tried different applications like garmin, google maps, lifeinpocket and in no one gps is working?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberrry bold 9780 for the past 2 years.I have configured 4 email ids on it.For the past few days i have noticed that it has started hanging on me.Even after doing a hard reset it still hangs so decided to take a backup. when i connect it to blackberry desktop manager it connects after a few minutes but as i start to take the backup it goes off and restarts.i need all these mails as they are all very important to me.I managed to connect and take backups after a few unsucessful attempts.I noticed that after conecting via the blackberry manager and going to appications that the device only 5 mb remaining out of the 500mb storage.There are no appications installed other that my mails.Now my question is how to free up space in the phone as the phone is almost unuable.I need the mails as i have also added a flags to my important mails which are older that 2 years
1)Is there a way to delete mails that are not flaged.??
2)can mail storage be changed to media card???
3)Can these mails which are there be synced to outlook ???
4) what are my other options other than going to a newer decive with more storage.
I am using the phone with the blacberry services turned off.
Also I have tried uninstalling blackberry protect which all of a sudden showed up in the appications via blackberry destop manager the space is now showing 3mb left out of 500mb after the phone restarted.
I can't open my media file..It's empty but I can see my files only when I connect it to PC. And when I try to open the media card from the file folder gives me this message UNABLE TO DISPLAY FILE/MEDIA CARD.

A few things i've noticed is the phone tends to overheat when its put underwater, and loses network coverage underwater as well. I can't open every applications except all the built-in appplcations (Calendar, Clock etc.), in other words, all third-party applications are crashed when I open them.
I use two accounts (A & B) to download apps, after I change my current account A to another one B, the applications which belongs to B are working, and I try to download a new app it's working too.
When I change account B back to A, B's apps are still working, however all A's applications still crashed. But I downloaded a new app using account A, it's working...
So what can I do about all my existing account A's applications?

I mean the same function happens as by holding down the menu button or just tapping options, open applications.Was this functionality always there, and I was the only one that didn't know about it?
