I am able to transfer media files (mp3) to the phone with my Ubuntu 12.04 with no problem at all. However, the phone does not recognize files when I go to Nokia Music application. Software says that all the Music "folders" (Albums, Genres etc.) are empty. I have tried putting the mp3 files in all possible folders ( music, documents etc) on phone, but no luck. I have also tried several different mp3 files.
View 5 RepliesI have a blackberry 8520. I started having a problem with my memory card recently. When I connect my phone to my computer I can transfer music and pictures to my memory card. But once I disconnect it, I can't get anything i.e. the music folder is empty as well as the picture folder&video folder. I've formatted my memory card, and redid the process and still its the same problem. Taken my phone apart still the same problem. And I've checked and in my settings it says my memory card is inserted even shows how much space I have left etc. I can't even store any pics I take or see them on my phone I can't even rename them cause it tells me that operation isn't allowed on a read only file. I've checked my settings and its setting is everything must be saved to my memory card even changed the amount or size of pics. Even changed the type of pictures that can be taken from super fine to normal.

Iv bluetoothed photos from my old phone (at&t windows phone) and transfered some over from my windows labtop. Everything as far as i knew transfered over no problem. All there. When i opened gallery . all there. *** well as when i opened music. All my usic was displayed. then one day went to open up my music player and it showed no music. Went to gallery to find noting. So i then went to filemanager. it said 0 music and 0 images but all my documents were still there. then via filemanger>all files>internalstorage>pictures they were there but all displayed as stock mountain pic till i clicked on them individualy.

I transfer the game to the phone, fine but when I try to run it it tells me that its an "unsuported file format". Now I know this is because the phone has been locked so that you have to DL stuff directly to the phone but I don't have a data plan and would really like to be able to put these games and such onto my phone from my computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just installed Nokia Ovi Suite, and to say i'm a little disappointed is an understatement, the program slows my whole computer down. I have a 5800 Xpressmusic FW31.0.10. I've been trying to copy music from my PC to my 5800, and yesterday when I launched Ovi Music Player, it didn't recognise the phone as being connected. It also started popping up with "Found New Hardware - MTP Device" EVERY 5 SECONDS!
I installed Ovi Suite and that just slowed my whole machine down. After waiting all morning for Ovi Suite to speed up a bit i've tried syncing my music, but it returns Operation Failed, Unable to copy the tracks. Attempting to copy them from my PC to my phone returns the same error. I also have a video decoder displaying in my sys tray, not just 1 icon, 22 of the same icon displaying in my sys tray. I've attached a screenshot to show what i mean.
Why wont play my recently transferred music open ... Keeps adding then when I try to play says'This item no longer available' all my previous music opens and plays PERFECTLY.

I have a droid turbo. When i throw my music into my music folder that appears after plugging my phone into the computer, i cant find it on my phone. I will either put MP3s directly into the "music" folder, or i will create another folder within the music player, name it after the band or album, and then put the mp3s into that newly created folder. Then upon rebooting my phone, the music doesn't appear in the music player application. Though if i do put music into my "downloads" folder i am able to find it, though with this method i am unable to organize the music at all.

I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card,formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. View 4 Replies View RelatedIve got my 8100 with a 2gb Media Card. The card works fine with BB. I can take pictures and store and even receive files via Bluetooth. The problem is that when I connect to my PC, it wont recognize as an external storage device. In DM it does recognize the BB showing my PIN. This means cable is not the problem. But the card wont show up in MY PC and doesn't work with Media Sync either.
