BB Pearl 8100 :: PC Wont Recognize Media Card
Feb 28, 2010Ive got my 8100 with a 2gb Media Card. The card works fine with BB. I can take pictures and store and even receive files via Bluetooth. The problem is that when I connect to my PC, it wont recognize as an external storage device. In DM it does recognize the BB showing my PIN. This means cable is not the problem. But the card wont show up in MY PC and doesn't work with Media Sync either.

Aug 29, 2011Only device memory and built-in-media storage are detected. I do not know why it doesn't read my media card even though it is inserted properly. I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card,formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....

Feb 27, 2010I just got a BB Pearl 8220, and it won't recognize my media/memory card. Its a microSD card. I have formatted the card, and everything. First of all, I don't have a Media Card option in my Options menu, rather I have a Memory option, with Media Card Support, Encyption Mode, etc...I get two messages underneath all the options:
1) Application Memory: Free Space: 52.2 MB (I'm assuming this the the BB's own space)
2) (The more interesting part): A media card is not presently inserted in the device.
I know for a fact my microSD card works because it works perfectly on my other cell phone.

May 16, 2012My Lexar8GB MicroSd card worked for a long time. over the past month ive had it at its max capacity with 913 songs on it and a few hundered pictures. I unlocked my phone the other day and it said that i needed to format my sd card.. AGAIN. so i lost over 200 pictures that i wont get back and now i have no source to listen to music on the go. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this please tell me. ive tride taking the battery out and back in to reboot it but it does the same thing, and ive tried taking out the card and putting it back in... nothing. If im paying upwards of $600 on a smartphone that says it can do these things, i expect it to work.

Jul 27, 2011I have had my Blackberry Pearl for some time and have been very impressed with it however I have never been able to shoot video as when I try it gives the message 'insert media card to enable video'. There was already a media card inserted and I have purchased a new media card in case the fault was with the media card, not the phone - however it is still saying that a media card needs to be inserted to enable video shooting. I have pressed > Options > Memory and it states 'a media card is not presently inserted in the device'.....when I have tried two different media cards.

I have searched everywhere on how to access the Help Me! screen but haven't had any luck..Does anyne know how to access the Help Me! screen on the Pearl 9105? When i press a key, it acts like it's pressed 2x times.Say for example i'd want to dial "12345", the screen's going to show "1122334455".Or when I am texting and I want to type the letter "A", I would press the key ONCE but it would give me a "B" instead.

BB Pearl :: Browser Freezes On 9105?
Jul 10, 2011Had my pearl now for a couple of weeks and am very happy with it, but I now have a small problem with it..
When I try and click on my browser, nothing! You can click as much as you like nothing.. It's almost if its frozen. The only way to get it to work is take the battery out, but this is getting a little boring now.
Ps everything else works just fine, you can click on anything first time and it will come up.

Mar 18, 2011I have a pearl9105. The other day for the 1st time I plugged my fne 2da pc via the usb 2 try and download the desktop manager. Howeva when I unplugged the fone I noticed all my music videos and pics were gone but the space was still being used up, so upon investigation I noticed that all my lost stuf was in the blackberry folder in sub folderz,bt that blackberry folder is hidden n can't b unhidden, I tryed 2 unhide it with the pc and with the fone but it doesn't allow me to, and because of da folder being hidden the stuff can't be accesd by my media.

Sep 3, 2011Phone was working fine and then a couple of days ago I tried making a call and couldn't hear any dialling tone or when the person answered I couldn't hear them. I can hear them if I turn on the speaker. I cannot hear either if I get a call though the phone rings fine.
I've updated the software and a battery pull but no use. Starting to lose patience now.

6. It was connected to device and showed me a list with all the applications installed on it
7. I clicked next
8. No actions are required
9. Click on Finish and no change to OS
I tried to do all this with internet and Ethernet cable unplugged, no change.
