Before 3 weeks I bought the new BlackBerry 9900. At the beginning it was perfect it didn't freeze! Now when I unlock it it freezes, when I chat with someone it freezes, when I open a group in BBM it freezes! By day it freezes tallest 50 times!! And takes 1 min or seconds! What should I do?

Condition before the incident: perfect.
I always took a full care of my belongings (especially the electronics). This phone was only used by me. I never over charged it and always update it. I also never overloaded it with softwares.Today the phone just refused to turn on (no lights, vibration, nothing at all). Even when I tried charging it, the battery never gave a sign of the charging process.
I have used my phone around 3 AM, at that time I remember the phone having between 25 to 20 % of battery life, and was working fine. I went to bed and woke up around 7:30 AM, that is when I found the phone off. I then tried charging it normally because I never thought that it will never turn back on, I assumed that it ran out of battery and that it needed charging. I tried every method of recharge I was able to perform (of the wall, changed the charger, off a USB cord connected to my laptop, etc).
I luckily had a recent back up, because I updated the software then. Yet, I think its ridiculous because I have paid a lot to get this phone (I actually purchased two of them and now I am nervous that the other one will have the same fate).For now, I am using my an older phone (bold 9780) and contacted T-Mobile USA and see if they can help me, and unfortunately they did not have any clue as they claim, about this dilemma. Meanwhile, I found many people owning bold 9900 and 9930 models complaining from the same problem that I have encountered.
when i press the lock button at the top of the phone to lock it, or the backlight switches off when it is idle, the phonee freezes. when i press the lock button to unlock it (or press any other key) the keys and trackpad light up, but the screen stays blank. after a few battery pulls i finally get the phone to reboot and have to do this every time. how do i fix this?

Whenever I tried to turn on the Bluetooth, it freezes the phone and shutting down and restarting the phone will not even resolve the problem. I must removed the Sim from phone before the phone can be working and immediately I re-inserted the sim, the phone freezes again.
The phone will not work again with SIM inserted except I wipe off the phone memory when sim is not inserted and reinstall it to a later day. More so, the WiFi does not comes up whenever I tried to turn it on. What could be done to get this phone back to the good working state.
My bold 9900 has recently started to go dark right after use. Sometimes it goes dark and still rings but I cannot see the caller ID but can answer and speak. At times the screen turns back on after two minutes, other times I have to do a battery pull. This has only started after I installed the official Bell Mobility OS 7.1.0.267 update a few days ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently after updating my bb bold 9900 to os 7.1, my device would start to give blank black screens even though the phone is on and supposedly working, since the keyboards would light up. At first it didn't do this, however, it has been around 10 days since it started blanking out. It would take around 15 minutes or more before I can see the normal screen again. I thought it was just a normal "blackout" since some time it tends to do that, but it turned out it wasn't. Sometimes when I use it, it would also blank out, which is annoying especially when I'm using the messenger/texting..

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am with Rogers and I started with the Curve-an awesome phone with no issues- then I bought the Playbook and it wasn't able to bridge so I upgraded to the Torch in August. The phone was such a pain, everytime I talked on it it would hit the speakerphone, so I gave it to my daughter a few months ago and bought the New Bold 9900 because I heard it was much better. So wrong. I am on my second Bold phone because it heats up and the battery doesn't last long at all.
Now I have had it freeze when I am typing, turning it on, scrolling, etc. It has now started erasing my emails on me, which I need for work and have now lost!!!! It randomly puts up this RIM error message. Rogers says it needs a task killer but I have no clue. I have bought Blackberry hones and Playbooks for my family and have been a loyal Blackberry user- laughing at my father and his inferior fruit phone and pad but I am starting to wonder. Is there something I can do
I bought my bold 9900 from UAE and used it for few months there and I suddenly had to move to Sri Lanka. The phone was very fast and the clock thing never appeared. Then i changed my sim to Dialog when I landed in Sri Lanka. The phone suddenly started to heat and the battery drained in minutes and freezes. The clock thing appears every minute and the phone battery drains even when I don't use it.

The only way to get the phone to operate is to remove the battery and to replace it for the phone to start up again.This allows you to operate the phone until it goes dark again. While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. I simply cannot connect to Internet although I already am connected, and my phone even shows full signal, network name, etc. Is there any solution which will make it possible to comfortably use BB????

When I got back it had been shut off. When I rebooted it, the red led turns on for a moment and the device starts up, the bar though just stops and freezes a quarter of the way though. When I access the email setup the device freezes and I can't exit that page anymore. The device has to be turned off, then back on. I did not have this problem prior to the update. Everything else appears okay.I am on the German Telekom network.

Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRandomly, my BB will start sending/recieving data (the rx/tx arrows constantly changing back and forth) and the entire phone will lock up. None of the buttons work, it wont respond to anything for about 2-4 mins. Then everything returns to normal. I notice it most in the facebook app or Viigo, mostly because thats when im scrolling a lot. Occasionally, the last button pressed will register after it wakes up from its coma, ie, if i press the back button when its frozen, and nothing after that, when it wakes up, it will *sometimes* register the button. I never get any messages or anything when its doing this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order:

i was watching a video on my blackberry bold and the battery was almost dead, the LED was flashing and there was the red sign of the low battery but i ignored that and kept watching the video then suddenly the blackberry freezes and the loading sign appears i take out the battery and put it back in (hard reset)
but it didnt turn back on!! nothing happened! the screen remained black and the LED didnt flash the normal red color at the first of booting .i waited overnight with the battery out.. but the next day it still didnt boot and the LED didnt even turn red:S:S..then i tried charging it.. but nothing happened .. and the LED didnt turn red.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9650 and the trackpad freezes or doesn't work. This has happened a couple times, and I have to completely restore the device, but this time nothing works. The keypad works fine, but the trackpad doesn't work at all, and thus I can't access anything but the phone. I have updated all the software.

Another issue I'm having is that I get an "application memory low" message about twice to three times a day asking me to delete applications, I am now down to two applications on my phone....a banking app and a music app....and I'm still getting the message.
