I have a Blackberry Bold 9650 and the trackpad freezes or doesn't work. This has happened a couple times, and I have to completely restore the device, but this time nothing works. The keypad works fine, but the trackpad doesn't work at all, and thus I can't access anything but the phone. I have updated all the software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know that you can set the phone to make a noise when you click the trackpad - that isn't my issue because I have this feature turned off. My issue is that when I scroll down on the trackpad I'm hearing a clicking noise, almost like the trackpad is too loose and is hitting the silver lining. I'm not trying to be picky, but it's really annoying when scrolling through emails or through the browser. I stopped by the Verizon store and the tech told me it's because I have big thumbs and they're hitting the keys below, which I showed him wasn't the case. He also said the trackpad being angled to the right appears to be on purpose because their demo is like that. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed the clicking noise when scrolling down?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI got a problem in my trackpad, my trackpad doesn't work totally, I try to restore my old back up and it works again then suddenly when I update my bb app world it my trackpad doesn't work again, I try to delete applications that I think that may causes malfunctioning or freezing my trackpad, then, I totally wipe out my bb, but the problem is still the same, trackpad doesn't work, I am using OS6, I don't know whats the cause of this problem, I try to put my backup files again and trackpad doesn't work anymore when i wipe my bb.

It does have tactile feedback, and you can feel the button depress, but on the phone, nothing happens.I've tried everything (hard resets, soft resets, battery pulls, etc) but it still doesn't work.I was starting to get used to just hitting the Enter button on the keyboard until my girl turned of the 'Mobile Networks' in the radio menu somewhere. When you're trying to turn it back on using the enter key, all it does is go to the next selection. I am quite experienced with these phones and I have replaced the trackpad on these phones before, but right now my girl has it and she's off island.

The applications installed shown is only "FREE Earth Floats Animated Theme" from Mobstar Media Ltd. I'm not entirely sure what BT device model/version means, but if it's Bluetooth, I've never used that (and it is currently disabled according to my phone); however the previous owner may have used it with Rogers.
Now for the question:
Earlier today I dropped my BlackBerry on the floor and when I picked it up, I sent a text. Soon afterwards, my phone would not respond to pressing in (clicking) the trackpad. My phone still allowed me to scroll upwards, downwards, and to either side; the only thing it would not rspond to is pressing the trackpad.I had an epiphany in which I realized that I could simply hit the enter key to do anything (so far) that clicking in my trackpad will do; however, I still would like to be able to press in my trackpad to select options and such.
I read up some articles and they all said to either:1. Remove the battery for a period of time, or remove the battery/memory card/sim card for a period of time. 2. Press the button in 'hard' and this will 'free it up'.I did both of these, but had no luck.
One thing that I thought might help is reinstalling the operating system, but I can't find my cord. I called a friend and he said I could borrow his cord tomorrow, but since no one had suggested this as a potential solution, I didn't want to unecessarily hold off posting about my problem.
I have a BOLD 9700 my trackpad refuses to work. I have tried rebooting, pressing the trackpad 5 times which all worked before but now its completely dead. How to remedy this or how to use my BB without the trackpad...

I do have the blackberry data plan with AT&T and every time I attempt to open the browser, a message pops up "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." When I try to change the browser option to internet explorer from Hot Spot browser there are not any other options that come up.

"The device does not have enough space for your selections. Select fewer applications."
I am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0.1. My phone actually has Application Memory Free Space 301.5 MB. My BlackBerry's version is 5.0.0.732. I cannot update or delete software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
All USSD codes (*566# , *123# etc) does not work on my BB 9650. How to resolve this problem? I'm using GSM grameenphone network in Bangladesh.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHere's an anomaly for ya. Whenever I browse the BlackBerry app catalog via my computer and click the "get this app" link, I get the email with the link attached no problem. Then I click on the link which prompts the Bberry browser. However, when I go to click the link that says "open in BlackBerry App World", the loading bar will appear on the bottom of the browser for a second and then....nothing happens.
So I checked all my permissions for the browser to ensure that everything is checked off (which it is). So I'm pretty sure that nothing is being inadvertantly blocked.
I have a Verizon Bold 9650/5.0.0.975 I picked it up at a pawn shop and all it has is wifi. Is there a way to setup any of the instance messaging apps to work just on wifi?

Vibration still works and I can hear MP3 songs via the handset speaker only {not speakerphone}. I have tried a hard reset by removing the battery and by pressing Alt-uparrow-Del. I checked for available software updates and it stated there are none available. Any ways to restore the sound for my notifications?

But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.

The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?

I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

I changed the Track Pad and It doesn't worked. I think that maybe the problem is in the main board, I don't know.... Is there another way to move through the menu without using the trak Pad?
