The WiFi is connected - and says so - but I have no Internet or BBM service. Some days it works and others not. The WiFi is definitely connected to Internet because I have access on my laptop.

Problem is that after several minutes of using internet on it for example wifi, it just disconnects from internet. Arrow on wifi symbol is still showing that it's sending something but internet is gone, i have the same problem with 3g too. After couple of seconds it reconnects, or if I restart wifi really fast internet is still on. Is it possible that it happened after i dropped it few times when I moved out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've read around the forums and elsewhere but haven't found a solution yet Have an 8350i and with the Mobile network off (Nextel) I turn on wifi (both at home and at work) and it connects to the network, icon is white not gray Data service is on and was working before (had the phone for 9 months). I recently connected to desktop manager for the first time and updated all available programs,firmwares, etc, I'm assuming this is the root of the problem. Gmail and Facebook apps won't connect, (you need a working data connection bla bla) and same with Browser app.Any solution that doesn't involve downgrading, wiping clean? (I've pulled the battery, turned wifi on and off with no results)

I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."

While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. I've simply transferred the PAYG SIM card out of my previous phone - a Sony Ericsson w302, where most things worked as expected. Regards the BB's other features, I was quite surprised to find personal email impossible to set up & internet to be totally WiFi Dependant. In addition, many apps (eg, msn, facebook, google maps, etc) don't work due to there being no data connection, even whilst using WiFi.
Expecting the need to upgrade to a 3g SIM card, I called orange & was told that I'd need to pay £5/mth for email & 250MB data. I consider this quite objectionable - is that really the deal & will it solve my problems? If that's the best orange can do, what experience have you guys had with other UK carriers on PAYG.
I just got a new BB Bold 9700 from the UK and had it sent to me in Iraq. I've connected to my home wifi, which i used to do with my old BB to use the BBM service, but for some reason my new BB won't connect to the internet even though it is connected to my wifi. My laptop is connected to the internet through the wifi and there doesn't seem to be any problems with conflicting IP addresses or anything like that so i don't know why my BB won't connect to the internet. Could it be that my BB wasn't registered while it was in the UK or anything like that? Or is there another reason?
