i have just switch from one cellular provider to another. when i entered my new SIM, i was asked to fill in my blackberry ID password. I did not know it, so i entered this web-site and chose a new one, but it still rejects me. how much time it takes the system to identify my new password, or whether i should do anything to 'tell' my machine that I changed password?
I have just switched to a new bold and transferred by desktop manager, when I try to log into app world or blackberry protect it is saying my username and password not recognised, I can see the e mail address is .con instead of .com and think this may be the problem when I set up the done with a typo error, can I change this ? I have created a new bb ID but the fine keeps asking for the username associated to the phone, I have tried to change the password on my original login and have the same problem
I follow all the steps to make my iPhone recognized on iTunes. But it is not recognized on Windows 7. It don't appears on My Computer, and it does not ask for install driver when I plug it in.
Trying to setup email on new Bold 9930 with Verizon Wireless. Not using any Enterprise services. My email says No service established yet, going to setup wizard....OK, but it recognizes my Blackberry ID, but does not accept my password, with a message that either ID or password is wrong.I did not forget it, did not enter any other password, and did not make an error in it.Could another BB user have my ID that I tried to use? (I had problems getting the setup to give me that ID, so I tried inputting <Personal Content Removed> in the field, since they don't tell you a format to use).BB shows that <Personal Content Removed> is my ID.How do I verify with Blackberry what they setup for me? How do I change it?
Bold 9900. Not Recognised By My PC I suspect that this question may have been posted before, but I can't fin it on the forums, so here goes...I've just purchased my Blackberry Bold 9900. The only Apps it has are those that are pre-installed. It has (I think) 8Gb of memory and a further 32Gb from installing a memory card. After 3 days of playing with it, the network service provider (Vodafone) has only just enabled the SIM card and it is now fully functional. However, a problem has occurred at exactly the same time. This may be just a coincidence or it may be related in some way.
I have downloaded and installed the Blackberry Desktop Software onto my PC and connected the Blackberry via the USB lead provided to my desktop PC. Except now, my desktop PC no longer recognises the Blackberry. It's as if the USB hardware isn't working properly ...yet all the other USB devices work fine when I use the same USB port.
My PC runs Windows XP and has plenty of RAM and Hard Disk space. I've tried going to Add Hardware from PC's control panel to check-out the problem but without success. The odd thing is that it only happens with the Blackberry. Adding other hardware isn't an issue and this wasn't a problem whilst my SIM was off-line and whilst there was no mobile phone signal.I wonder if I've played around with the Blackberry setting and accidentally switched-off some function or other?
I just got a new Blackberry 9700, and it was with Telus before. I got it unlocked, and the guy at Rogers put in a new sim card, but nothing changed. It still comes up as Telus when i turn it on, and it says "Off" where the signal bars are.
I have a BB Bold 9900 which i purchased from a friend, i created my BB Id and Pw and was using the device for 2 months. I now have 2 phones but decided to switch to one, so i put my old no# sim in the BB but now its not accepting my BB id and pw i have tried 9 times till now but it failed, i used my friends BB Id and pw its not accepting his id or my id. Could you please suggest something as iam not too familiar with BB.
So I have just bought a bold9780 and every time i try to insert my SD card into the phone a message pops up saying all media files will be on my phone, but then all of a sudden another message shows up saying "media card storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors". I'm not sure what to do..
i had the bold 9900 for a month, and yesterday it died. so i got it replaced at the at&t store and the new one will not connect to my computer. it says that the usb device does not have enough power to charge my device, which i know is not true because it worked just fine with the last one i had. it indicates on the battery meter that it is charging, but it does not charge. i have the desktop software installed and that does not recognize it either. the blackberry also does not show up on the control panel's device manager under "universal serial bus controllers".
I am trying to log into Blackberry App world. It brings up my e-mail address automaticaly and when I type in a password it says "unable to validate the email address and password combination". It then gives me the option to try to recover my password and the response I get is "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again". I have been getting this message for weeks. My connection is fine I receive emails every day and I have no problems connecting to the internet.
my phone says initialization failed sim not recognized I've tried another sim and that dosent work either I've done the. Battery and sim out to reboot but nothing working?
I purchased my BB 9700 on March 2010 in Panama. I live in Venezuela and contracted with a local provider the services for the BB device. Everything went perfect until four weeks ago when I was transferring photos from my BB to my computer and updated the OS. After that I noticed I was not receiving emails not BB messages. I went to the local provider and they tried to fix the problem without success. After two or three attemps they concluded my BB was not recognized. They said that the "edge" was not in capital letters "EDGE" so that meant that I could not get the internet services. I placed my simcard in my wife's BB 9700 and the word EDGE showed up. I placed my wife's simcard in my BB and the word "edge" showed up. The conclusion was that my BB had the problem. So I ended up with a BB that's working like a standard cell phone. The provider told me that maybe BB or RIM could have mistakenly deleted my BB from their system.
I am with T-mobile with a Blackberry 9700 v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.0.91)
I am having difficulty syncing my device to my computer.
I am running Vista 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 1525.
I have downloaded Desktop Manager 5.0.1 B49 MultiLanguage - Without Media Manager successfully and downloaded the latest version (I have seen elsewhere that this version is suggested for the bold 9700).
My computer recognizes the device but from the Found New Hardware prompt as a RIM Composite Device but In the desktop manager it says that there is no device plugged in.
I have also turned on media card support and mass storeage mode.
I cannot find the appropriate driver through the device manager either.
I did a couple battery pulls and connection re-tries in different usb ports.
I used my Blackberry 9900 ( Carrier : o2 UK, OPerating system: OS 7.1) to make a call and noticed it was running out of battery. I then placed it on my table only to return to find it dead. I have tried everything from connecting the phone to 4 different computers, with and without the battery, I have also used about 3 or 4 other batteries and it still wont come on or show any sign of life. The worst part is whilst researching the issue online, I noticed other people mention a light or a sign comes up but with mine there has been no light, no sign, just DEAD! I tried the App Loader method but no PC recognises the phone when connected. The phone was never dropped or wet or ever misplaced or mishandle. I have had it for just over a year and this is puzzling.
I have this old 9700 I got from a friend that he says is bricked. I took a look at it and when I put a battery on it, it blinks twice, pause and blinks twice again. It does that and never loads. So I thought, this would be an easy fix. I would just reload the OS and it's good to go. But I was wrong.First thing I did is I went and installed an OS6 (.650) and tried the loader.exe but when I click on Next, it does't recognize a PIN, it says USB-PIN: UNKNOWN. I clicked on next nevertheless and tried to reload the OS but then it won't go past the Loading JVM step which is the second step I guess, being 'Erasing Applications' as the first one. I left it for a couple of hours and it still won't load the OS.Next thing I did is tried to wipe the phone using BBSAK, CrackUtil and JL_Cmder. With the CrackUtil, it says 'Phone not connected' while the JL_Cmder won't let me wipe it. It just keeps on going back to the Menu after I've typed 'blackberry'. The BBSAK won't recognize the phone either.I tried using Desktop Manager as well. It can see that the phone is a 9700 but on the PIN, it says 0.One more thing I noticed, when I put on the battery, the red blinks but when I take off the battery and just plug the USB cord, it won't do anything. My computer will do something (makes a sound and 'recognize' the device in a way) ONLY if I have the battery put on before I put the USB cord on. If it's the USB cord alone, without the battery, it stays dead. Which is weird since in my experience, my computer always recognize BlackBerry devices whether a battery is present or not when you plug the USB cord.Oh and BTW, now my computer doesn't read my phone anymore, whether I put the battery in or not. The phone keeps blinking though, when I have the battery on. Blinks twice, pause and do it all over again.
I am running the latest BB Desktop Software on my PC, "Version 5.0 Bundle 1137". It usually will NOT recognise my Bold 9000. I have tried most suggested measures, including closing Outlook opening the BB software. Perhaps going back to an older version of the desktop software?
I cannot synchronize my Bold 9780 with my laptop via USB anymore because BB Desktop Software tells me : "Blackberry Desktop Software cannot communicate with the connected device".
I've been using my device for nearby a year now and everything went smoothly until recent times although I haven't changed anything in my settings.
My configuration : v6.0.0.294 on my BB device ; BB Desktop Software release 6.0.0.40 on my laptop ; Windows XP Professional Release 2002 Service Pack 3 on my laptop.
I tried to install the last version v6.0.0.546 via the web but my laptop could not recognize my device. Within the Windows Device Manager, my device is identified as an "Intelligent Blackberry phone" (so no USB port issue). The USB cable is OK (I checked with another one and faced the same issue).
Is the problem due to the fact that the release of the BB Desktop Software on my laptop is different from the one on my device ? By the way, this is the case since the beginning and everything went smoothly until recent times.
I have an issue with my 9700: my device worked perfectly fine and for some reason, a couple of days ago, it stopped recognizing my MicroSD Card. I tried it on another Blackberry and it works perfectly fine. I also tried another card that works in other BBs but not in mine.
I'm no beginner when it comes to updating BB O.S but I got stunned here a bit. Using BBSAK I wiped the device and then tried to Load OS > it failed to communicated with my device as it was stuck on that screen and green bar not moving anywhere. So I cancelled and tried loading the OS again this time it gave me a error connecting to "boot ROM" so I unplugged BB and restarted the computer, now the Windows 7 is not recognizing USB or not detecting it. i tried common files > rim > loader.exe but it won't recognize PIN, there is no OS on BB
Dollar sign not recognized in password after OS upgrade My password contains the dollar sign, the key at the righthand bottom corner, next to the Enter key. After upgrading to the new OS today, this character is not recognized as valid; the other characters are shown as stars but this one is not and I am at my last attempt.Using the alt key also does not do the trick.
Unit: Bold 9700. I run an HP P8600 Windows XP_SP3. All syncs including Media have worked fine...until now. Media Sync has instead, sunk. Have so far done this: Removed and reloaded DM. Removed and reloaded Media Sync (2x). Tried numerous usb ports and swapping usb cables (both original bb). Cleared check boxes from Power Management from usb root hub thingies, many Windows restarts, many battery pulls, ran calfix.exe. Media card is fine and mass storage is turned on. When BB connects, should it appear as a removable drive in My Computer? This is not happening. Problem is only with Media Sync.
I bought a new Macbook Pro and copied over my user account from my old mac using Migration Assistant. When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my old mac, both iTunes and XCode know it's plugged in. When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my new mac, iTunes and XCode have no idea that it is there. No response whatsoever. Is there any sort of plist file I can reset?I would prefer not to erase my iPhone if I can help it.
My lg3 phone is not responding to the SIM card in it. I've tried cleaning it and making sure it's in correctly and restarting it with the sim in it. Still not responding to the SIM card.
When I used to connect my HTC One to my PC by USB, it would pop up under 'My Computer' and 'Internal Storage', and I'd be blissfully free to drag and drop pictures and music back and forth between the two.
NOW when I do the same, under 'My Computer' I'm left with an E drive which asks me to insert and disc and a 'HTC One' option that is treated as a camera by the computer and shows me nothing.
iphone not recognized by mac,i tried rstarting everything.i tried different cables i tried different iphones and i does recognize them.i have the latest itunes
My iPhone 4 isn't showing up on iTunes for Windows 7. It shows that it's charging, but doesn't show up in devices. I tried the iPhone not recognizing troubleshooting, but it hasn't worked either.
I have always hooked up my iPhone 5 to my Dell PC to transfer pictures onto a folder on my Desktop. Now, all of a sudden, I get a message that says the USB device not recognized. The screen also shows the Generic USB Hub (6 Ports) and one of them says Uknown Device.I went to My Computer and saw the iPhone and attempted to transfer the pictures but it failed. A message said that the iPhone was disconnected meanwhile It is connected in the USB port. I thought maybe a USB port was bad, so I rebooted and switched ports but that didn't work. iTunes won't synch up either. I have over 300 pictures and some videos I took of with my son and wife when we were on vacation. I also tried to upload them to the iCloud but not sure if it worked when I logged on iCloud, I didn't see anything. It was the first time I used iCloud as an option came up to email it which I did, but one of the videos was too long so I had to choose the option to save a portion of it. I hooked it up to my HP Laptop and got the same messages the USB device not recognized. The last photo transfer I did was on 07/08/14 and it worked fine.
After connecting my N900 to PC the phone is not recognized by the PC. I used new micro USB cable bought on Ebay when this problem occured (I doubt it is a coincidence). Before, with original cable, it worked OK, now it's not working at all.
When conecting the phone Windows alerts with: "USB device not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it". The phone detects cable being pluged in and offers if I want mass storage or PC Suite mode, but it doesn't matter which one I choose. It also stopped charging from PC.
I have installed the Windows Phone app on my iMac. When I plug in my Lumia 920 I get the charging tone, but the app stays at the "Connect your Windows Phone to continue" screen?
