View 1 RepliesI follow all the steps to make my iPhone recognized on iTunes. But it is not recognized on Windows 7. It don't appears on My Computer, and it does not ask for install driver when I plug it in.

I bought a new Macbook Pro and copied over my user account from my old mac using Migration Assistant.
When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my old mac, both iTunes and XCode know it's plugged in.
When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my new mac, iTunes and XCode have no idea that it is there. No response whatsoever. Is there any sort of plist file I can reset?I would prefer not to erase my iPhone if I can help it.
My iPhone 4 isn't showing up on iTunes for Windows 7. It shows that it's charging, but doesn't show up in devices. I tried the iPhone not recognizing troubleshooting, but it hasn't worked either.

I have always hooked up my iPhone 5 to my Dell PC to transfer pictures onto a folder on my Desktop. Now, all of a sudden, I get a message that says the USB device not recognized. The screen also shows the Generic USB Hub (6 Ports) and one of them says Uknown Device.I went to My Computer and saw the iPhone and attempted to transfer the pictures but it failed. A message said that the iPhone was disconnected meanwhile It is connected in the USB port. I thought maybe a USB port was bad, so I rebooted and switched ports but that didn't work. iTunes won't synch up either. I have over 300 pictures and some videos I took of with my son and wife when we were on vacation. I also tried to upload them to the iCloud but not sure if it worked when I logged on iCloud, I didn't see anything. It was the first time I used iCloud as an option came up to email it which I did, but one of the videos was too long so I had to choose the option to save a portion of it. I hooked it up to my HP Laptop and got the same messages the USB device not recognized. The last photo transfer I did was on 07/08/14 and it worked fine.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a major problem which is scaring me. I recently bought a 3G Iphone from a friend who got a 3GS for christmas. I updated to 3.1.2, jailbroke it, and it's running fine. I have been using it for 1 month now with no issues.
Today I got home to something sad, my phone is currently turned off at 16% battery life. I am unable to charge the phone through my PC, or a wall. I have tried hard reset (holding home and top for 10sec), tried soft reset. Tried multiple PC's in the house, and a Laptop, Tried diff cords. I even tried a "trick" where you press mute on and off 4 times then hold power and home. Still nothing worked. What is unfortunate is that I cannot even get it to be recognized by the PC at all to restore it if this is a software issue. After lots of research im stuck and need some help -_-. The thing is after leaving the gym this morning I decided to listen to music on my Iphone which I always do in the car (I have a USB hooked up to my screen in the car so I can use it to listen to music). Everything worked fine the cord recognized my phone as always. Unfortunatley this never has charged the phone... It says "this accessory isn't made for this product" but still, I am able to pick songs from the screen.
anyways that's just to let you know that the phone is recognized by some plugs, but all the USB plugs in my house, which normally charge the phone are not. So the bottom line is, my phone is at 14% right now turned off. If anybody knows a fix to this or knows if there is anything I can do with SSH (which I luckily have installed on the phone at this time)
Okay I have googled and searched and I can't find an answer. All this over the fact that I can't get my photos from my phone to my PC without emailing them one at a time.So iTunes recognizes and sync's to my phone no problem. But my PC does not see it as a drive/camera..So I can't move my darn photos.I tried doing a restore from backup, I tried messing with the driver nothing.Any ideas would be greatly appricaited. Oh it's a 3G not Jailbroken.I have plugged it into 4 different PC's with no luck.

For the first time in a while, I'm trying to sync my phone with itunes. The last time I connected it was before the OS upgrade. I'm not sure if this has something to do with it? I tried almost everything in the troubleshooting except for uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. I have a lot of play lists saved that I'm afraid to lose My computer is recognizing that the iphone is connected.

iTunes and iPhoto will not recognize my iPhone 4 when I plug it in.I just "synced/backed-up" my phone about 3 weeks ago and it was fine, now it will not do anything when I plug it into my Mac.I have re-booted the phone and my mac and updated the software on both and nothing. I have tried the holding down the "sleep/turn off button and home button until the picture of the USB cord shows to plug it into iTunes and I do so and still nothing happens. I have turned my phone off and then plugged it into the USB and the phone will turn back on but still is not recognized by iTunes or iPhoto.I have tried the iSync from the applications on my Mac and it recognized it as my Smartphone, but then says it can not pair the device.I have called Apple Support and of course they will do nothing for you unless you pay for it because I am past my 90 days...bunch of crap when the phone is not even a year old (7-8 months)!I have done everything short of resetting to its original factory settings, which I do not have a problem doing if iTunes will then recognize the phone, but what do I do if it doesn't...I have lost everything and how do I get it back?

I tried two different USB cables in several different USB ports on both the PCs. Neither computer recognizes it nor charges the phone. But when i plug the iPhone into a wall socket using either USB cable, it will charge. The iPhone was previously recognized by both computers.
