IPhone :: Sim Not Recognized After Upgrade To IOS 5
May 15, 2012
I've tryed to upgarde my Iphone 3GS to IOS 5.1 but after the upgarde it don't find the Sim card and I cannot activate it.I have an old backup befor the upgrade but don't know how to restore it
Dollar sign not recognized in password after OS upgrade My password contains the dollar sign, the key at the righthand bottom corner, next to the Enter key. After upgrading to the new OS today, this character is not recognized as valid; the other characters are shown as stars but this one is not and I am at my last attempt.Using the alt key also does not do the trick.
I was recently trying to root my galaxy s5 (At&T, G900A) on android lollipop and so first I wanted to downgrade to kitkat for root and decided to do so with odin. I followed some instructions online and when I tried to follow the instructions it kept failing in Odin; so I've decided not to go through with the root and wanted to get back to stock lollipop, but when I restart the phone I get the error message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." But when I plug my s5 in and open kies it always gives me the message "this device isn't supported by kies" and I have the newest version (Kies 3).
I follow all the steps to make my iPhone recognized on iTunes. But it is not recognized on Windows 7. It don't appears on My Computer, and it does not ask for install driver when I plug it in.
After attempting to upgrade software for my iphone 4s via itunes, the upgrade failed and my phone froze with a picture of an usb plug.I even uninstalled security on my computer.
Can I use someone else's upgrade? Yes, this is called an "upgrade swap". AT&T will allow you to upgrade any line to receive a new phone. You can then activate that phone on any phone line you like. Apple is able to do this in store also, but it requires a bit more time since they have to call AT&T first. If you pre-order and recieve the phone by mail, you will need to contact AT&T to let them know that you will be activating the phone on another line."
My current situation: I am on a family plan with a total of two lines. My line is not eligible until 7/23, so all I can get is "early upgrade pricing". My mom's line is currently eligible for "full upgrade pricing". I am planning on using my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone 4. I want to preorder the phone from Apple.com on the 15th, and hopefully receive it the afternoon of the 24th. From my understanding, the microSIM that ships with the phone will be programmed for the line whose upgrade was used. However, the iPhone Upgrade Guide makes it sound like I can call AT&T once I receive the phone (and before I activate it), and have AT&T switch the microSIM from my mom's line to mine. Is this possible?
I have a message in my settings telling me that i can upgrade my IOS, but i don't want to upgrade at this time. How can i get rid of the red message mark?
I bought a new Macbook Pro and copied over my user account from my old mac using Migration Assistant. When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my old mac, both iTunes and XCode know it's plugged in. When I plug my iPhone 3GS into my new mac, iTunes and XCode have no idea that it is there. No response whatsoever. Is there any sort of plist file I can reset?I would prefer not to erase my iPhone if I can help it.
iphone not recognized by mac,i tried rstarting everything.i tried different cables i tried different iphones and i does recognize them.i have the latest itunes
My iPhone 4 isn't showing up on iTunes for Windows 7. It shows that it's charging, but doesn't show up in devices. I tried the iPhone not recognizing troubleshooting, but it hasn't worked either.
I have always hooked up my iPhone 5 to my Dell PC to transfer pictures onto a folder on my Desktop. Now, all of a sudden, I get a message that says the USB device not recognized. The screen also shows the Generic USB Hub (6 Ports) and one of them says Uknown Device.I went to My Computer and saw the iPhone and attempted to transfer the pictures but it failed. A message said that the iPhone was disconnected meanwhile It is connected in the USB port. I thought maybe a USB port was bad, so I rebooted and switched ports but that didn't work. iTunes won't synch up either. I have over 300 pictures and some videos I took of with my son and wife when we were on vacation. I also tried to upload them to the iCloud but not sure if it worked when I logged on iCloud, I didn't see anything. It was the first time I used iCloud as an option came up to email it which I did, but one of the videos was too long so I had to choose the option to save a portion of it. I hooked it up to my HP Laptop and got the same messages the USB device not recognized. The last photo transfer I did was on 07/08/14 and it worked fine.
I have a major problem which is scaring me. I recently bought a 3G Iphone from a friend who got a 3GS for christmas. I updated to 3.1.2, jailbroke it, and it's running fine. I have been using it for 1 month now with no issues.
Today I got home to something sad, my phone is currently turned off at 16% battery life. I am unable to charge the phone through my PC, or a wall. I have tried hard reset (holding home and top for 10sec), tried soft reset. Tried multiple PC's in the house, and a Laptop, Tried diff cords. I even tried a "trick" where you press mute on and off 4 times then hold power and home. Still nothing worked. What is unfortunate is that I cannot even get it to be recognized by the PC at all to restore it if this is a software issue. After lots of research im stuck and need some help -_-. The thing is after leaving the gym this morning I decided to listen to music on my Iphone which I always do in the car (I have a USB hooked up to my screen in the car so I can use it to listen to music). Everything worked fine the cord recognized my phone as always. Unfortunatley this never has charged the phone... It says "this accessory isn't made for this product" but still, I am able to pick songs from the screen.
anyways that's just to let you know that the phone is recognized by some plugs, but all the USB plugs in my house, which normally charge the phone are not. So the bottom line is, my phone is at 14% right now turned off. If anybody knows a fix to this or knows if there is anything I can do with SSH (which I luckily have installed on the phone at this time)
Okay I have googled and searched and I can't find an answer. All this over the fact that I can't get my photos from my phone to my PC without emailing them one at a time.So iTunes recognizes and sync's to my phone no problem. But my PC does not see it as a drive/camera..So I can't move my darn photos.I tried doing a restore from backup, I tried messing with the driver nothing.Any ideas would be greatly appricaited. Oh it's a 3G not Jailbroken.I have plugged it into 4 different PC's with no luck.
Usually advice relating to updates on either my iPhone or my iTunes. This time though, both are updated. Have checked several times. When I open itunes, which is working fine, currently talking to my Apple TV and playing tunes, showing photos etc etc, but in the devices section there is nothing...?
I updated my iphone 4s to the IO5 and since then it has been stuck on the connect to itunes screen, then when i went to connect to itunes on my PC the device is not recognized and my iphone is still stuck on the same screen.
I am using the most updated itunes version with windows 7 64 bit. I can connect to itunes with my iphone 4GS, but my old Iphone 3GS isn't being recognized by itunes. I have tried turning iphone off and on and restarting computer. I can connect everytime with my 4GS, but it will never recognize my 3GS.
My Ihone 4s is not being recognized by Itunes. There seems to be no connection, the cable i am using is not the problem because itunes will recognize my Ipad2 and Ipod thru it. I have the most current itunes and phone software
Setting up my new iphone i also connected it to my computer (w7). while synching the computer shut down due to emtpy battery. Problem: now my computer does not recognise the iphone anymore nor does itunes. Yet it still recognises my ipad.
New iPhone recognized as an imaging device (camera). Tried updating driver is device manager, stopped and started the apple mobile device in adminstrative options, unloaded and reloaded the newest version of iTunes, changed USB port and cable, restarted the phone, restarted the computer, disabled anti-virus software....what next?
For the first time in a while, I'm trying to sync my phone with itunes. The last time I connected it was before the OS upgrade. I'm not sure if this has something to do with it? I tried almost everything in the troubleshooting except for uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. I have a lot of play lists saved that I'm afraid to lose My computer is recognizing that the iphone is connected.
I have iPhone 4, when I plug it in my computer, it says" USB Device Not Recognized" and nothing happens. iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes. But it charges. Everything was okay all time before and I have no idea what happened. Just once I plugged it in and and computer didn't recognize the phone.
I have some truble with my itunes not recognising my iphone as a mobile device. In the pc the iphone is recognised as a camera and when pluged in it still charges etc.
