When I used to connect my HTC One to my PC by USB, it would pop up under 'My Computer' and 'Internal Storage', and I'd be blissfully free to drag and drop pictures and music back and forth between the two.
NOW when I do the same, under 'My Computer' I'm left with an E drive which asks me to insert and disc and a 'HTC One' option that is treated as a camera by the computer and shows me nothing.
I accidently used blackra1n on a 3.0.1 iPhone 3G and it put the phone in recovery mode and that's all the iPhone is doing now... The phone is NOT recognizing that anything is plugged into it now... Before doing this the computer did recognize the phone.Also, the power button is broken.

So I have just installed an app so I have to select the audio output myself all the time. I tried this morning a last solution => repair with the Companion software from Sony itself (I wish I had never done that!!!!)

After the companion software downloaded the files, shutdown my phone he asked the plug it back it while holding the volume btn down (Flashmode). When I tried this nothing happend, phone didn't turn on and setup on the pc did not continue. So I just hit cancel. Than thinks get from bad to worse. Now no pc on earth is detecting my phone anymore when plugged in. As well, I do not get the charge symbol anymore. It's like the phone is not connected to anything.Â

I aswell tried to boot into flashmode myself but I just get a rapid RED and GREEN led and then nothing. The only think that is working is to start in Bootloader modus (Yes, I have unlocked the bootloader modus because of the error with the headphone jack

Has stop being recongnized by pc, i almost tries anything i know and find on net. The pc doesn't recongnise it on device manager (i have a win 7 pc), the phone however react as pluged in a charger. Their is no mtp or mass storage switch on notification.
I have reinstall the driver of samsung several times with smart switch & also made it manual by suppressing directrly the samsung usb driver from programs on control panel then reinstall it but no hope. I can't figure out eitheir its hard or soft. I had change my cable & also test my pc with another Galaxy s6 it works fine, but mine no.
i have made wipe cache / factory reset also made an initialisation from parameters the phone is formated but not recognised by the pc also test it on another pc but the same behaviour windows pcs doesn't recognise my phone.
However, i figure out that when its on the restore mode (volume down + lock + home) the pc recognise it by Odin and smart switch. I install the same rom on it also made an emergency restore with S/N and model and the process completes fine with smart switch and i saw the donwload progress bar completing on my phone. But still i m stuck its not recognised...

When I connect my phone to my PC as media device (MTP), it is showing a camera icon just like when I connected as camera (PTP) device. The same is happening when I connect my phone as a camera device (PTP), which is not a problem. How to make my computer recognise my phone as MTP device and transfer files?

Background : I was on Windows 10 build 10581. Upgraded to 10586. All fine.
Phone showed up and everything. However I wanted to go back to 8.1, so I started up the Windows Device Recovery Tool. It asked for a mandatory update. Updated. It recognized my phone (which was on). Started downloading server side software. I ran out of battery (the laptop), and it shut down. After starting up again, the phone is unrecognizable.
I unintsalled Windows Device Recovery Tool and tried to install again. Error. Several times. Finally after cleaning up everything related to it (RevoUninstaller), I managed to install it again. However, my phone still never is recognized. Uninstalled all Nokia/Microsoft drivers (no luck).

My phone will not connect to my pc when trying to update using sony ericsson pc companion.I have been unable to update it with the last two updates and in my desperation last night to make my phone work I have backed up using my backup after reading that the sony ericsson backup app won't work after the update, and then restored factory settings. It hasn't fixed it. It still won't work.
I should also add that I have tried this on 3 computers and they have all said the usb device is not recognized. It is clearly my phone. It has very recently been having problems charging in all chargers however this problem has been going on for a lot longer!This is driving me insane. Before this I loved my phone, despite the many faults!!
2 days ago i did the 2.3 update on my phone, since the upgrade my phone refuses to recognise the sim card in my phone. Also if i try to connect my phone to pc vis usb cable it says 'please insert memory card and reinsert usb' tried this maybe 10 times nothing. So my question is how the **** do i get the phone to recognise that there is a memory card in it? I don't need the SD card for contacts etc as they've all been synced just really want my photos/music back & be able to use my camera again.

I thought its a bug in preview so I dont really care and use to move data by Remote device manager. Than I got the denim update....then wp 8.1 Update 2.... now windows 10 Technical Preview but my phone didn't recognized. Change many data cables and tried on 3 different laptops with different OS but not get luck. Than I took my laptop and all the data cables I have to the Mobile Phone Market I searched for Lumia 1020. And surprisingly I found 3 devices having update wp 8.1 not any developers preview or windows insider app. They all connected with my laptop instantly with my data cables. After new update, my phone doesn't seem to have a mobile network. I tried calling at&t we did some troubleshooting, they recommended a back up and restore to undo any updates but that didn't work. I have a galaxy s5... I can't go on the Internet or social media unless on WiFi. If I receive picture messages it won't let me download them/view them even on wifi....

I was not having this issue from the beginning. From about a week's time I'm facing this issue. Also it is not happening for all the numbers. Only for few numbers the phone is not recognizing the contact. (I have checked the contact and both the name and number are present). When I clock the options and select Use Number and when I select the Call option, the phone recognizes the number and displays the name of the person when calling. Every time it enters memory transfer mode I have installed the Gordon's Gate Setup and I make sure of turning the phone off and holding C then the application will search for the phone nothing will happen

Looks like an Adata or Kingston except for the lack of logo.When I installed it out of the package the phone said the card was corrupted, so I reformatted on PC.Took it out of PC, put it in the phone, phone said the card was unformatted, and gave me the option of formatting it.Ran the phone's formatting option , and the card is not recognized on the phone or the PC.when installed in the phone and I go to "memory" in the filemanager, the cardslot shows as empty, no card in place. when I put the card into the slot on my notebook, it doesn't even recognize the mSDcard.does this mean the card is defective.

I have just switched to a new bold and transferred by desktop manager, when I try to log into app world or blackberry protect it is saying my username and password not recognised, I can see the e mail address is .con instead of .com and think this may be the problem when I set up the done with a typo error, can I change this ? I have always hooked up my iPhone 5 to my Dell PC to transfer pictures onto a folder on my Desktop. Now, all of a sudden, I get a message that says the USB device not recognized. The screen also shows the Generic USB Hub (6 Ports) and one of them says Uknown Device.I went to My Computer and saw the iPhone and attempted to transfer the pictures but it failed. A message said that the iPhone was disconnected meanwhile It is connected in the USB port. I thought maybe a USB port was bad, so I rebooted and switched ports but that didn't work. iTunes won't synch up either. I have over 300 pictures and some videos I took of with my son and wife when we were on vacation. I also tried to upload them to the iCloud but not sure if it worked when I logged on iCloud, I didn't see anything. It was the first time I used iCloud as an option came up to email it which I did, but one of the videos was too long so I had to choose the option to save a portion of it. I hooked it up to my HP Laptop and got the same messages the USB device not recognized. The last photo transfer I did was on 07/08/14 and it worked fine.
