My iPhone 4 suddenly stopped charging via ANY charge medium, connected directly to USB port with adapter, via an iHome-like stereo, nor will it work in a wall charger. Also, neither a Mac (10.7) nor will a Win 7 computer with updated iTunes recognize it. Every time I connect it I get a message "USB device not recognized and has malfunctioned..." I have already changed the battery out (it was already out of warranty) still not charging or being recognized.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought an unlocked Focus and it works fine except my computer (as well as other computers) don't recognize it when I plug it in. It charges, but that's it. Without being able to put music and what not on it, it's basically useless. Does anyone know if there's a reason for this or if I just got a bad phone.

I had the problem of iTunes not recognising the iPhone on MOST occasions when I start it. Sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't. This has been going on for 4 months. After running through all the tips on the web, from apple and everyone else i finally discovered I was low on Disk Space (I tried to copy the iTunes backup files to another location to protect them and they wouldn't fit). So I cleaned out my hard disk and everything worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a LOT of trouble with my iPhone (5c). A couple of days ago a vertical black line appeared on the right side of my screen. I hadn't dropped it or damaged it in any way, so I was a bit puzzled by it. A friend at work suggested I restored to factory settings to see if that worked (I didn't think it would, but what would be the harm to try?). Everything else was working just fine. Midway through the restore, iTunes says it can't finish because it can't detect my iPhone any longer. Meanwhile, my iPhone is now displaying the "connect to iTunes image". But now, when I plug it in, Windows does not recognize it. Tried with two different PCs, neither is working.Â
I'm currently on a Windows 8.1 PC and using iOS 8.1.1 on my phone. I tried all the stuff on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support, but there's no way.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI debranded my C905a into C905, which works great. I also like to connect it to my PC in phone mode so I can tether via Sony Ericsson PC suite. One day, my PC installed some USB driver on its own, and all of a sudden the phone can only connect in mass storage mode, instead of phone mode. Now I can't back up or tether. Has anyone ever had this problem before? I have windows vista basic; Please help I'd appreciate any info on how to fix this problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to download my music but WP8 uses the Windows Phone App client in Windows 8. Wll, when I tried connecting my phone, it says "Your phone is having troubles" error message. The instruction says to power off the phone. But no luck. Tried searching MS community but nothing there (but I won't rule out I didn't search well. Also, I posted the same question there and waiting for a response.)

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor a few years now, businesses have been looking for a replacement device for the unfortunately slowly dying Blackberries they have been using since about a decade. In the past few years the iPhone has gained some ground on that aspect, as a lot more businesses have started supporting in-house use of the device. Android on the other hand, as flexible, versatile and capable as it may be, has it's share of challenges for a business that cannot be overlooked. Such as fragmentation, the extremely wide variety of devices and their features, etc. For those reasons, I don't see Android being widely adopted in the business market in the next few years.
However with the announcement of Windows Phone 8, and the new business friendly features that are coming,R() I think we could see a turnaround as business slowly, perhaps VERY slowly, start to adopt Windows Phone as their trusted OS for the enterprise. This could be Windows Phone's saving grace, as it has been for RIM for a very long time. Although, if and when Microsoft grabs a good chunk of business smartphone marketshare, hopefully it will also give them a boost of interest for the consumer part of the equation. Because with these new features, Windows Phone is just as good a business device than a consumer device.
Also, don't forget about how many different Microsoft products are used in the vast majority of enterprises : Windows for Desktops, Windows Server, Office, Sharepoint, Exchange, etc. are all products that are ...EXTREMELY present in the industry. This translates into Microsoft begin known as a very "trusted" company, and any product coming from them is assumed to have a certain level of quality and business-friendliness to it.
I accidently used blackra1n on a 3.0.1 iPhone 3G and it put the phone in recovery mode and that's all the iPhone is doing now... The phone is NOT recognizing that anything is plugged into it now... Before doing this the computer did recognize the phone. Also, the power button is broken.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I used to connect my HTC One to my PC by USB, it would pop up under 'My Computer' and 'Internal Storage', and I'd be blissfully free to drag and drop pictures and music back and forth between the two.
NOW when I do the same, under 'My Computer' I'm left with an E drive which asks me to insert and disc and a 'HTC One' option that is treated as a camera by the computer and shows me nothing.
So I'm working on my XPeria Z2 when 2 weeks ago the headphones stopted working. I have tried everything but nothing works. So I have just installed an app so I have to select the audio output myself all the time. I tried this morning a last solution => repair with the Companion software from Sony itself (I wish I had never done that!!!!)
Â
After the companion software downloaded the files, shutdown my phone he asked the plug it back it while holding the volume btn down (Flashmode). When I tried this nothing happend, phone didn't turn on and setup on the pc did not continue. So I just hit cancel. Than thinks get from bad to worse. Now no pc on earth is detecting my phone anymore when plugged in. As well, I do not get the charge symbol anymore. It's like the phone is not connected to anything.Â
Â
I aswell tried to boot into flashmode myself but I just get a rapid RED and GREEN led and then nothing. The only think that is working is to start in Bootloader modus (Yes, I have unlocked the bootloader modus because of the error with the headphone jack

Background : I was on Windows 10 build 10581. Upgraded to 10586. All fine.
Phone showed up and everything. However I wanted to go back to 8.1, so I started up the Windows Device Recovery Tool. It asked for a mandatory update. Updated. It recognized my phone (which was on). Started downloading server side software. I ran out of battery (the laptop), and it shut down. After starting up again, the phone is unrecognizable.
I unintsalled Windows Device Recovery Tool and tried to install again. Error. Several times. Finally after cleaning up everything related to it (RevoUninstaller), I managed to install it again. However, my phone still never is recognized. Uninstalled all Nokia/Microsoft drivers (no luck).
My Samsung s6 phone cant recognize my fingerprint suddenly after months of use...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm really hoping someone can help me. My phone will not connect to my pc when trying to update using sony ericsson pc companion.I have been unable to update it with the last two updates and in my desperation last night to make my phone work I have backed up using my backup after reading that the sony ericsson backup app won't work after the update, and then restored factory settings. It hasn't fixed it. It still won't work.
I should also add that I have tried this on 3 computers and they have all said the usb device is not recognized. It is clearly my phone. It has very recently been having problems charging in all chargers however this problem has been going on for a lot longer! This is driving me insane. Before this I loved my phone, despite the many faults!!
2 days ago i did the 2.3 update on my phone, since the upgrade my phone refuses to recognise the sim card in my phone. Also if i try to connect my phone to pc vis usb cable it says 'please insert memory card and reinsert usb' tried this maybe 10 times nothing. So my question is how the **** do i get the phone to recognise that there is a memory card in it? I don't need the SD card for contacts etc as they've all been synced just really want my photos/music back & be able to use my camera again.
