my iphone only charges went off and every time i plug into the computer it says "USB Device Not Recognized one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." iTunes cant even find the device,It was working fine two days ago but now it isn't whats going on???Â

I follow all the steps to make my iPhone recognized on iTunes.But it is not recognized on Windows 7. It don't appears on My Computer, and it does not ask for install driver when I plug it in.

I bought my nexus 5 the day it was launched. Worked great for 2 yeas+. Now is dead. It's a long story.
One day simply died. I pluged it to charge it and turn on and off constantly (boot loop). I watched some videos on youtube where people constrantly press the power button and after a moment, it worked. But eventualy stop working again and it never boot again.
I can't access fastboot, nothing. I researched again and found that the power button could be damaged. So I removed it and install a new one and SURPRISE. The loop was gone, it charges, but the power button doesn't seem to be working...or could be another thing!!!
When I plug it to the USB, the PC recognize it, but as "other device". However, it call it "Android". Can't understand.
If I search for adb devices on the command line, it founds nothing.
If adb devices could find it, maybe i'll be able to boot it from the command line, right?
i-phone 4 won't connect to pc windows 7 but it charges and functions otherwise

Itunes doesnt detect phone and in my computer the iphone is not showing up as a detected device. My iPhone 4 suddenly stopped charging via ANY charge medium, connected directly to USB port with adapter, via an iHome-like stereo, nor will it work in a wall charger. Also, neither a Mac (10.7) nor will a Win 7 computer with updated iTunes recognize it. Every time I connect it I get a message "USB device not recognized and has malfunctioned..." I have already changed the battery out (it was already out of warranty) still not charging or being recognized.

I just upgraded from the iPhone 3s to the 4s. I tried to connect to iTunes on my Windows 7 computer and the device is not recognized in either Windows Explorer or iTunes. Did some troubleshooting with a different USB cable, checked that the USB connection was working, uninstalled iTunes and associated Apple programs, reinstalled iTunes and still nothing.

I had the problem of iTunes not recognising the iPhone on MOST occasions when I start it. Sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't. This has been going on for 4 months. After running through all the tips on the web, from apple and everyone else i finally discovered I was low on Disk Space (I tried to copy the iTunes backup files to another location to protect them and they wouldn't fit). So I cleaned out my hard disk and everything worked.

I'm having a LOT of trouble with my iPhone (5c). A couple of days ago a vertical black line appeared on the right side of my screen. I hadn't dropped it or damaged it in any way, so I was a bit puzzled by it. A friend at work suggested I restored to factory settings to see if that worked (I didn't think it would, but what would be the harm to try?). Everything else was working just fine. Midway through the restore, iTunes says it can't finish because it can't detect my iPhone any longer. Meanwhile, my iPhone is now displaying the "connect to iTunes image". But now, when I plug it in, Windows does not recognize it. Tried with two different PCs, neither is working.Â

My Nokia N97 use to be in perfect condition and would charge every time i plug it in. However, lately whenever I plug it in, it charges and then it stops and says "Unplug charger from power supply to save energy" and then it says "Not Charging" and then it charges again and then it doesn't. The light near the charging slot always turn on and off multiple times. I have to play around with the charger and plug it in and out multiple times to get it to work. When it finally starts to charge, it takes extremely long to charge. It used to charge quick but now it take hours. Also, if it is charging, and I accidently touch the phone or the cord, it will immediately stop charging. Then I have to play around with the cord again so it will charge.

One day, my PC installed some USB driver on its own, and all of a sudden the phone can only connect in mass storage mode, instead of phone mode. Now I can't back up or tether. I have been having this issue since my phone got the HTC Sense 6 update last week.
Some Google applications don't recognise when they are on WIFI to enable auto-backup / update / download features. In order to force a backup / update, I need to tell it to auto-backup using both Data Network and WIFI and then it backs up the data using WIFI.
I see the same behaviour in Play Music, only downloading data for streaming or for off-line playing if the setting is enabled for both Data Network and WIFI.
Auto update of applications hasn't worked since then, and they need to be forced manually.
my new G3 does not appear on any WindowsPCs (W7 File Explorer), when using wifi. It should appear under "network". Instead, it only appears under "computer" when connected with a USB cable. Apple-based PCs have no problem seeing the phone on the network. I use Fing on everything but the W7 PC. On that PC, I use file explorer, or Motohome Viewer (where it does appear), because I have a Motorola Netopia gateway (2247-B).

Also tried to connect other devices to my PC, and they worked. Another thing that I noticed is that when I start my computer, the phone recognizes the connection and starts to charge, but as soon as Windows starts, the connection is lost, like if the USB cable was disconnected. Still, when I disconnect and reconnect the cable, the PC Companion acts like if a device was connected to the computer and tries to find the phone, but fails. I have Windows 7, if it matters.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI connect my Droid X via USB to my PC, just like always to open and move/copy files between phone and computer, but Windows doesn't recognize photos I've taken since November 2011. I browse to the DCIM directory where my photos are located, but I can't open them with ANY program on my PC, not even preview them, with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, any graphics program, Picasa photo viewer, etc. The error says that the photo type is either invalid, or I don't have ot latest update to Windows Photo viewer, but I do have the latest.
Photos taken prior to November are just fine, and all photos can be viewed on my phone from the gallery or opening the directory. I have long suspected this was due to an automatic Android update pushed to my phone at the end of October/early November, and have put it off, but now I really need to get photos off my phone.
