Removing the IT policy from my blackberry bold 9650 I've tried couple of methods I found on the internet and in this forum but none of them worked. can't download anything because it keeps saying that its not allowed by my IT policy
I needed to clear the IT policy from my BB Bold. I followed the instructions: - backup - wipe handheld - replace policy.bin file - restore The phone works just fine. The policy appears to be gone, and I can set the security options as I want. However, when I start my Blackberry Desktop, I get an error saying "error reading policy file. Please contact your Administrator". Any idea what the issue is and how to correct it?
I got a BB Bold 9700 as a present from a friend of mine. Everything works fine and it's a great smartphone. Except the use of the camera. When I want to use it I get the message that the camera is disabled due to IT policies. How can I enable the camera use?
I just bought an used BB 9900 Bold that came with IT policy. I thought I'd upgrade the OS to 7.1 bundle 1149 and it will return to factory settings removing the IT policy. But it did not remove the IT policy now I even can't access BBM World Apps. Any ideas how to remove this IT policy that is restricting me from BBM Apps. I tried crackutil and it does not recognize OS 7.1 so basically I am stuck with the 9900 and can's even use.
I have searched the posts and see how to remove this on other model BB's but will installing the POLICY.BIN file remove the IT policy on a BOLD 9000? I just purchased this phone off ebay and its got a dumb policy on it that i need to remove..
I recently got an LG Xenon GR500 through ROGERS however I cannot install my own apps or games, ringtones etc as Rogers has locked all these features in the hopes that people will then buy from them. I was wondering if unlocking the phone will remove Rogers' Security policy from my phone so I can then do all this stuff. Is there anybody that has tried something like this before, perhaps even on a different phone?
I've read the other posts but couldn't disable the IT policy. It's probably because I couldn't use the CrackUtil. It just doesn't work.Maybe it's because of this "os" thing. What is os? How do I see if I have os 4.3 or better? In the "about" screen is written:v5.0.0.442 (platform 5.1.0.121) - does it mean that I don't have the right os? As you can see - I don't understand too much, but I do want to get rid from the annoying password.

I'm going through the info listed in RIM's KB14202 "How to remove an IT policy from a blackberry smartphone". I'm on windows 7 64 bit, so I have followed the instructions, including opening as administrator. After typing in the "loader.exe /resettofactory", the loader console window appears and a white cursor flashes for about 30 seconds or so, but nothing happens.
I was just forced on BES and now my BB must be "unlocked" with a password. I am sure there has been discussed before, but it someone knows of a way to remove the password-protection, which was placed on my device when activited with BES,
I use gmail and when I delete an email on the web, it doesn't delete on my BB. The same goes for when I open an email on the web, it doesn't show 'read' on my BB. Interestingly though, if I delete or read an email on my BB, the action is reciprocated on the web.And finally, if I send myself an email (either from the web or my BB), it appears on the web but not on my BB.
With computers I know you should un-install programs carefully and a certain way..I was wondering with my blackberry, is there a deifference weather I delete an App using my device, or using the Desktop Manager? Is one safer in the long run?

Does anyone know if there is a way to delete email from my server when I delete it from my Droid 3? I had a Blackberry Tour before and there was a setting that allowed me to delete it from the server at the same time that I deleted it from the phone. It saved a lot of time.I can't seem to find a setting on the Droid 3 that will do that
I was going through my memorie card and I was attempting to delete pictures. I would click delete and the message "the selected file is read only.are you sure you wish to delete file" I click yes and the picture is still there.
This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
I recently upgraded from the D1 to the D4 and have my Hotmail account set up via Corporate Sync. Incoming messages sync correctly but messages I delete on the phone do not delete from the server. On the D1 the two-way sync worked correctly for emails deleted on the phone but I can't seem to get it to work on the D4.My settings for the corporate sync account are:Username: full @hotmail email addressPassword: passwordServer: m.hotmail.comUse secure connection: yesProxy: blankAnyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

We have account lockout policy enabled on our AD. When a user's password expires and he changes it and not update his exchange account password on his iOS device his account will get locked out almost immediately -- as it should. Is there anyway around this that does not involve the user? What I basically want is when a user changes his account password and not update his password in iOS is to have iOS try to authenticate, fail and then prompt the user for the new credentials. That happens exactly with one big exception, iOS will not stop trying to authenticate which will cause the account to be locked. How many time does iOS tries to authenticate before giving up?Does iOS keeps trying even after it prompts the user for the new password?
Just left a job and they let me keep my Curve. I completed the sucurity wipe down but I can't manage to remove the IT policy - unless I do this I can't hook up my hotmail. The sites I've seen so far refer to older Curve models and I can't make those solutions work for my 9300.
I have a 2 month old AT&T 8310. It currently has a corporate IT policy, and all of my contacts, emails etc. I want to wipe it clean so that it can be sold. Here is the procedure that a guy at the AT&T store gave me to remove the IT policy and wipe all the data. Before I try this, do you think it will work?
I just purchased BB8900 Curve from someone who works at a company.I found out from my carrier that my device is IT Policy Enabled. For example, under Options>Status and typing BUYR - the voice and data usage showed IT Policy Enabled. Under Options>Security Optoions> General Settings, it displayed the IT Policy with the company name.I went to the blackberry website and found the following: How to remove an IT policy from a BlackBerry smartphone url...There are 3 options - 2 of which involve the company's IT department. I didn't want to wait for vendor's IT department, so I used the 3rd option and I removed it myself (I believe). When I type in BUYR under Options>Status, it shows the actual usage for voice and data (no IT Policy). So it appears to be removed.I have a data plan with the device but not a BES plan.My questions:
1. Has the IT Policy been removed from my device?
2. Is it possible for whatever reason for the vendor's company to issue a IT Policy to my device remotely because they do have its info - PIN/IMEI? I hate to think that they could control my device remotely or see my emails/data?
