Having only recently discovered the shortcut key for the period-full stop (double clicking the space bar) I want to know if there is a similar shortcut key for the comma. I currently use the Alt key and the comma key, but if there was a shortcut I'd love to know.
View 8 RepliesI just bought a Nokia E7 and I just cannot enter a dot or a comma as whatever the shift or alt (arrow), pressing for a dot will enter a colon and pressing a comma will enter a semi-colon. Any idea before I return it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a new Bold 2 (9700), and I found out that the thing is showing all decimal points as "decimal commas". I'm in Mexico, not Spain, and we use the US decimal point system, that is using decimal POINTS and not COMMAS. How can I switch the BB to use commas? This wasn't a problem on BB OS 4.6 on the Bold 9000... in fact, this is the first time I see my BB using the goofy comma system.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Bold 9700, with OS6 on it. Today it has started typing "w" by itself when I was doing a search on the internet browser. I've rebooted it removing the battery and it happened the same when trying to write the unlock password, I've rebooted it again and it seems to be working fine now, however I'm worried because I'm afraid it could be a virus or something. Is that possible? I've read that BB has virus, is it true? It's my work device and you know.. Could be something important on it sometimes.

a) I cant find the option to show my diary entries on the home screen.
b) Is there a short cut for loudspeaker for calls?
I've been wondering why my hotmail shortcut is just the usual envelope-with-small-globe one, because my friend's 9700 has the envelope-with-small-orange-envelope for her hotmail emails. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm running on 9700/5.0.0.862.

1.) Is there an easier way to unlock the phone other than pressing the lock key at the top? I can conveniently lock it by pressing the * key, but is there an alternative for unlocking it? (I can't set it as a convenience key for some reason, it's not showing up as one of the options.)
2.) How do I set my alarms to vibrate only? I've selected and adjusted the "Vibrate Only" profile and made everything silent. But my alarms are still making sounds!
Is there a way of making a shortcut for documents folders and so on,at the moment im going to 'media' > menu button>explore> then browsing to my documents folder on the memory card. would love a shortcut on my home screen, is this possible?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've searched the net and other forums for support and cannot find a solution to this problem. Essentially, on my Blackberry Bold 9700 I lost the ability to hit the K button to lock the keyboard. I have a BB 9700 running v5.0.0.714. I had not installed any new software at all before getting this problem. I didn't do anything differently other than launch the Kayak app. I updated the app and also removed it but still the K button does not work to lock the keyboard.
After searching the forums, I found a couple suggestions (which didn't work):
- Reset the theme didn't work but it did make the 'keyboard lock' icon come back to the home screen. The issue is that there is no under the K to make it so when I hit K it locks the screen. I even tried the default theme (it's a T-Mobile US branded 9700) and didn't work either.
- Reinstall service books didn't work either didn't think there is a correlation here anyway.
- Full restart, batter pull did this multiple times didn't work.
- Update software all software apps and OS is up-to-date. I have fully uninstalled the kayak app just in case there was a correlation, still doesn't work.
I am currently using the BB Bold 9700. Unfortunately I have got a problem with the device concerning writing SMS (and sometimes also e-mails):When I get started writing a SMS everythings fine. But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. But "in the background" the text goes on, because after writing "blindly" I can send the whole message, even the first part I can see and even the second part which is written but not displayed.

If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned.Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. I have deinstalled all apps -- reloaded OS 7.1 tried just about everything problem started at noon today and happened on and off for a while but now is all the time.part of the problem now is i cant unlock the bb due to the password letter combination -- have to access it through desktop manager.
So I uninstalled Whatsapp because it said the date and time of my blackberry are wrong. Then it said I have to restart my device, which I did. After the restart, I typed my correct password but then the screen is frozen. I restarted my device again, and it was still the same. But when I typed the wrong password, it responded and "wrong password" window appeared.And then, I saw this post http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Tour/Frozen-after-typing-correct-password-HELP/td-... and it said that I still can switch application by holding the blackberry button and switch between applications that is running on background. And I still can. But it is so annoying that I can't go to my home screen.
