BB Bold 9700 :: Way Of Making Shortcut For Documents?
Mar 29, 2010
Is there a way of making a shortcut for documents folders and so on,at the moment im going to 'media' > menu button>explore> then browsing to my documents folder on the memory card. would love a shortcut on my home screen, is this possible?
I have a bold 9700 and just upgraded to D2G premium edition. I get the error message 'unable to connect to document to go files' when I try to pair my device.I have downloaded new software D2G and Blackberry desktop. rebooted bold and PC, but still can not pair. Can anyone help as contacting Dataviz is near an impossibility.
Ok is there a way I can somehow make a shortcut to my Documents folder in my Applications Folder (where the memo, clock, calculator etc are located?I just would like to have it somewhere easily accessible as going through the media then exploring through the folders till I get to my acutal Documents folder is a little more time consuming and would really like to access it quickly as I can with my Memos etc.
I've been wondering why my hotmail shortcut is just the usual envelope-with-small-globe one, because my friend's 9700 has the envelope-with-small-orange-envelope for her hotmail emails. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm running on 9700/5.0.0.862.
I just got my first blackberry and I'm trying to adjust some of the settings.
1.) Is there an easier way to unlock the phone other than pressing the lock key at the top? I can conveniently lock it by pressing the * key, but is there an alternative for unlocking it? (I can't set it as a convenience key for some reason, it's not showing up as one of the options.)
2.) How do I set my alarms to vibrate only? I've selected and adjusted the "Vibrate Only" profile and made everything silent. But my alarms are still making sounds!
Having only recently discovered the shortcut key for the period-full stop (double clicking the space bar) I want to know if there is a similar shortcut key for the comma. I currently use the Alt key and the comma key, but if there was a shortcut I'd love to know.
I've searched the net and other forums for support and cannot find a solution to this problem. Essentially, on my Blackberry Bold 9700 I lost the ability to hit the K button to lock the keyboard. I have a BB 9700 running v5.0.0.714. I had not installed any new software at all before getting this problem. I didn't do anything differently other than launch the Kayak app. I updated the app and also removed it but still the K button does not work to lock the keyboard.
After searching the forums, I found a couple suggestions (which didn't work):
- Reset the theme didn't work but it did make the 'keyboard lock' icon come back to the home screen. The issue is that there is no under the K to make it so when I hit K it locks the screen. I even tried the default theme (it's a T-Mobile US branded 9700) and didn't work either. - Reinstall service books didn't work either didn't think there is a correlation here anyway. - Full restart, batter pull did this multiple times didn't work. - Update software all software apps and OS is up-to-date. I have fully uninstalled the kayak app just in case there was a correlation, still doesn't work.
Right I have disabled dial from homescreen and I gone thru all the keys and not one of them opens up my sms inbox is there a way to assign it to a key not being used?
recently my phone can't hear anything during calls but when i put it on speaker it works fine. i can play music and stuff it's just during calls. is there something that I can do?
Can you someone really explain how to take off the "unknown number" when dialling anyone? Its NOT the "show my number" on the calls menu , it appears when you are making a call. Please help.
I have another question. How do you block your number when you make a call? I live in Toronto and when I type in *67 before the number it doesn't seem to go through. Is there another way that I don't know of?
When making calls, the sound will keep continuously cutting out, and the icon in the top left corner will keep flicking back from the headphone icon to the regular icon, even though no headphones are in the jack...
I have installed the Opera Mini 5 browser, and I am thinking of making it the default browser. When I go to Browser Options>Browser Configuration or Browser Options>General Properties, the list of available browser options does not include Opera Mini.Anyone got any suggestions?
All of a sudden today my 9700 can't make phone calls. It lets me dial and connect but there's something going on which makes the sound cut out like every half-second. I can't hear or talk to the other person during the interruptions and they cant hear or talk to me.Everything else on the phone works fine: texting, email, IMs, Pandora, Google Mobile App, Facebook
The one thing I installed today was a program called GPS Track (http://widgety.biz/GPStrack/) for collecting the GPS info and uploading it to TrailGuru.com. The problem started shortly after I used the program the first time, so I suspect it has something to do with it.I deleted the application, but that didn't help. I've tried a battery pull several times, I downgraded the OS from 5.0.0.463 to 5.0.0.296. Nothing seems to help. Right now I'm upgrading the software to 5.0.0.645, but I don't have great hope. Anyone have an idea?
I am having a lot of problems trying to get my blackberry to function properly. Yesterday, I was going for a walk and decided to plug in my headphones into my blackberry and listen to some music. It worked really well until I pulled the headphone jack out and now when I make a phone call, the phone switches from headset to handset over and over again. I have tried resetting it, pulling the battery, etc. but nothing has worked. How can I get this to work properly?
o2 certainly couldn't! I started having trouble reading downloaded pdf's. Any time I tried to, I got an error message telling me that "the pdf could not be opened because there is a pending dialogue on documents to go. close this dialogue and try again". o2 were like, bugger off! So, I have deleted documents to go thinking there was no point in having it as it didn't work properly. On App World I cannot find any alternative pdf readers - even thoguh an internet search suggests they are out there - and I cannot find anywhere where I can redownload documents to go.
I have a bold 9700 and just upgraded to D2G premium edition. I get the error message 'unable to connect to document to go files' when I try to pair my device.
I have downloaded new software D2G and Blackberry desktop. rebooted bold and PC, but still can not pair.
I was using 8520 before swapping to 9780. I observed the document To Go is corroupted so I deleted so as to reinstall but unfortunately each time i try it on the bb application world it display "not available for this device" and using the desktop, the application is not in the folder. how to reinstall the application.
I have a bb bold 9900, os 7.0 version. It is written that the .pdf documents reader is pre-installed with documents to go premium which is resident.I tried but I cannot open .pdf documents. Then I tried to openn url.... as the resident bb sw says with a link, but this link doesn't work. The same link suggest to copy the address and to surf it with the normal websearch.I need to open and read .pdf.
is there a way i can open pdf and word or two word docs at the same time? I'm using BB9900, OS 7. If it's impossible, is there any way to work around it like changing the pdf to jpeg or something?
I just switched from an iphone 3g to a TMO Bold 9700 a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I didn't do it but all of a sudden upon receipt of a new e-mail, I get a audible alert and I can't find anywhere to turn it off. I did discover that the iphone seems a little more user friendly when it comes to path of some of their settings though.
I got my phone yesterday and thought to download PDF file from internet. Once I downloaded I pressed open it did and after I downloaded another one different one pressed open and I got this message "The document could not be opened because there is a pending dialog in Documents To Go. Please close the dialog and try again". I pressed ok and tried to close the application but it is still open and I can't close it.
I am using BlackBerry Bold 9780 and have Documents to Go, Sheets to Go and Slides to Go for viewing Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents respectively. I saw in newly launched BlackBerry Curve 9220 there is an inbuilt app named "Documents to Go". By which anyone can view Words, Excel and Powerpoint documents and also PDF files for free. But I cannot able to view PDFs in my Bold 9780 which is more heavy and costly smartphone than Curve 9220. Hence I want to know from where can I get a compact "Documents to Go" app for free and which is also a PDF reader.
