I've always had this issue of alphabets/numbers repeating when I type with my keypad.This is extremely frustrating, and i even showed it to the service center, they said they wanted 10 days to repair it (without a replacement).

I have deinstalled all apps -- reloaded OS 7.1 tried just about everything problem started at noon today and happened on and off for a while but now is all the time.part of the problem now is i cant unlock the bb due to the password letter combination -- have to access it through desktop manager.
Every time I press the A or E key, it repeats it and sometimes puts in a capital one as well. I've just re-installed all the software and it hasn't helped
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T Galaxy S5 (4.4.2)and when I use Google voice typing in the default messaging app, it repeats the last phrase i speak twice. This probably happens 40% of the time. I have not noticed it anywhere else except for when I am dictating a text.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had a blackberry bold 9780 for the last year and a half and I love it. I recently did a bbm update and shortly after that certain keys worked off and on. I contacted Rogers and they advised to to update the OS so I did. This has not helped. The next call I made to them, they advised me to take it to a rogers store for repair. I did and they informed me that they do not repair out of warranty and they sent me to a kiosk in the mall to have it repaired. According to the kiosk they were not able to fix the issue, they cleaned it, replaced the membrane and still no luck. Now the buttons that worked infrequently no longer work at all. The buttons that do not work are i, o, k,l,m,$ and delete.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI type quickly (or pressing one button repeatedly quickly) and, often the screen would get a blue margin around the screen, and it gets into a weird mode, sort of a pseudo frozen state. I'd have to press the home button repeatedly to get out of that strange mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using a Bold 9900 under T-Mobile. The phone repeats the letters "n" and "m" nonstop. If I leave my phone down, it would show "nmnmnmnmnmnm" after a minute. The keyboard, trackpad, and unlock buttons are also not responsive. I've tried the batter pull numerous times, and it has shown improvement once (I was able to type in my password and go into the home menu). Soon after that the problem returned. The phone just seems half dead and its reponse to my actions are random. Sometimes I'm unable to unlock my phone even after pressing the unlock button numerous times.
I did go to a beach with my phone. But there was no water or sand damage. It was in my hotel room the whole time. as the phone is completely unuseable right now. The screen works, but I am unable to press any keys to unlock/use my phone.

My iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.

I have had my 9700. I just noticed today that the sliver pieces that separate each row of keys are fragile. I have one piece that is totally broken on both sides under the Talk and End button, another broken one under the Q and the lower left one below the Z key. On all of them but bottom one, they were originally hard to see. Not sure how I found them but upon closer inspection, more and more were broken. The bottom one actually sticks up some.
My only concern is that they are going to get worse and totally break off and then free for all on dust and dirt in actual keyboard. These silver strips look real cheap. Anyone else have broken ones in their keyboard? How have you solved the issue? Can they easliy replace just the keyboard at the tech center? I have seen OEM keyboards for sale too but not sure I want to try that myself. I am going to call At&t but not sure if they will do a warranty swap for this. My wife has the same phone and hers are all fine and intact. I think parts of this phone were made on a budget. Bad design with the keyboard.
I have a BB Bold 9700, with OS6 on it. Today it has started typing "w" by itself when I was doing a search on the internet browser. I've rebooted it removing the battery and it happened the same when trying to write the unlock password, I've rebooted it again and it seems to be working fine now, however I'm worried because I'm afraid it could be a virus or something. Is that possible? I've read that BB has virus, is it true? It's my work device and you know.. Could be something important on it sometimes.

After the restart, I typed my correct password but then the screen is frozen. I restarted my device again, and it was still the same. But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. The phone reset itself since I could not enter the password properly without these keys. I also cannot use the number 5 which is part of our area code. I have had it looked at (fixed) twice without success. They say it needs a motherboard. Now that I got the phone back the microphone doesn't work. I can hear callers but they can barely hear me. I have 1 1/2 years left on the contract but have a useless phone now.

All buttons on the device including lock/unlock key while this is happend the blackberry screen is in sleep mode or whatever you call it when device isn't in use but ppl think it shut off automatically. During this time you can receive calls, bbm, nd text and all that you just won't be able to answer the call, reply to bbm, and so on... P.s screen turns on if u receive a call obviously.The only fix for this is to pull out the battery so it reboots fully this is only temporary may happen again.All you other people are just giving RIM false information like "blackberry just auto shut off" without even bothering to look into it your first goto place are these forums..
