The keys on the key pad of my BB curve 8520 are inverted (4 of them) when I press the A key I get the Q and vise versa and so are the W and the Z. The funny thing is that the symbol keys on those same keys are correct! How I can correct this.

The update was a success, however, now whenever he wants to type in his native Arabic it types from left to right not from right to left. The Arabic font shows correctly so it is supported but it seems there is this typing direction issue. Both of us live in Dubal and use Etisalat as our provider.
I recently upgraded my Uber Twitter to ver. 0.971, but I cannot use all the symbols anymore. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but to no avail.
I use an 8520 Curve.Please help, I really want my symbols back!
Well a couple of months ago, on bbm, if I was to type a message it would delete what I was saying and randomly change to symbols instead of letters, and it would be stuck on alt. Recently, I have not had the charger for three days, as my brother took it, so my phone was dead for three days. When I got the charger back and charged it up, the keyboard wouldn't work, then it would go dead even though I am pushing the button that turns it on. And the only way it does turn on is when you charge it but it lasts for 5 seconds literally. The weirdest thing is the light is still flashing?

Pulling the battery and leaving it a week sometimes brings it back to life and it works fine for a day or so then it's starts having a mind of it's own again and hangs.As an example yesterday I got it working fine, charged it overnight and set my alarm, this morning at 6.30 the alarm went of and the whole phone was unresponsive I had to pull the battery in the end.

There is a sort of dictionary in the device because I found word lists in Dutch/French/English but it doesn't seem to work when typing an SMS. The blue bar will load fully but the actual web page will never open - it's just stuck on the loading screen. I've tried a battery pull, it turns on ok and I can use the scroller to move along the shortcut bar, but as soon as it times out and the light goes off even that won't bring function back. My A and E keys are sticking, so i have to press as hard as i can to type with those two keys.

I use Password Lock (because I have no choice--I upgraded and lost Keyboard Lock) and if I see that the red light is blinking and I go to "sign in" and it won't respond to any keys, including the convenience keys, dial/hang-up, trackpad and click, and Media buttons. However, the phone is still operating and will respond to new messages coming in, phone calls (though you can't use any keys), and Bluetooth, etc. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing fixes it except for pulling the battery (and waiting for it to restart--which takes longer than my computers). This did not happen back under Keyboard Lock before I upgraded the first time. I'm currently on 5.0.0.734Does anyone have any idea of what's happening, or what can be done to get out of the situation when it does occur, short of yanking the battery?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night my BB had a bit of a "moment" whereby for some strange reason, it changed the time and date of it's own accord to a future date in September, so my Twitter was showing tweets as "61 days ago" and my email was arriving with a future date showing.
It's back to normal now, (again, of it's own accord) apart from my emails - the ones I received are still showing as September which is rather annoying as I now have to scroll down to read new emails.Is there any way of changing the received date on them? I can't seem to find any option to do so. I know I could delete them but I kinda need them saved for now! Why did my BB do this in the first place?
I've ported over my old number to orange and all seems ok but When i press the green phone button and the list of recent calls comes up the number displayed in the "my number" line at the top of the screen is the number i had before my number was ported over. I've contacted Orange and they sent me a text to update my settings. This didn't solve the problem. I have noticed when i do make a call the correct number is displayed on the right hand side of the screen (in call).How do i ge the "my numnber" line to display my correct number?

The other symbol is sometimes on the left of the 3G and I can only describe it as a box with a dot in the middle and a hook coming out of the top!
