BB Curve :: A And E Keys Keep Repeating?
May 24, 2011Every time I press the A or E key, it repeats it and sometimes puts in a capital one as well. I've just re-installed all the software and it hasn't helped

May 17, 2012I've always had this issue of alphabets/numbers repeating when I type with my keypad.This is extremely frustrating, and i even showed it to the service center, they said they wanted 10 days to repair it (without a replacement).

Apr 12, 2011IM very new to the Blackberry systems. I LOVE my phone and am starting to get very good at using it but I'm having a problem with my email, hopefully I could get some much needed help. This is the second time this has happened to me that my email has acted up by reposting every single email I've ever gotten in a matter of minutes. Old emails from months ago come up in the order I first got them. Up to 140 emails per about 3-4 minutes I end up having to mark all prior and delete all after it stops on its own. This really scares me and I dont want anything happening to my phone. Could it be a virus If so what should I do is there any BB virus software out there or if not is there anything I could do?

Sep 22, 2011I have set up email on my BB and receive OK however the BB emails do not update when I have read or deleted them on my laptop and visa versa. I also keep getting email messages that say " This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and a load of code. I get loads of these in one day/night. My work email is being accessed via MS Webmail as far as I understand.

Jun 14, 2012I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 and The a key stopped working, it wont scorll down in the bbm app, and some of the keys are being difficult, the back button is verry finicky as well. This all just happedned at once. I have not dropped it or got it wet. why has it just stopped working randomly?

The keyboard, top keys (red./green, menu, return) and even the side shortcuts are all useless. I've tried a battery pull, it turns on ok and I can use the scroller to move along the shortcut bar, but as soon as it times out and the light goes off even that won't bring function back. I'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight.

Jun 30, 2011I woke up this morning to my phone not working.My trackball is able to scroll left-right and up-down, but unable to click. As well, none of the other keys work.I've tried resetting my phone by pulling the battery out & I've deleted all the apps that were on it via the Desktop Software.I can't answer the phone, check/ respond to texts nothing. I bought the phone at Radio Shack a little less than a year ago.I've never had water damage, my strip is still white.

Sep 16, 2010Just about every day, my BlackBerry Curve 8530 becomes unresponsive to any keys. I use Password Lock (because I have no choice--I upgraded and lost Keyboard Lock) and if I see that the red light is blinking and I go to "sign in" and it won't respond to any keys, including the convenience keys, dial/hang-up, trackpad and click, and Media buttons. However, the phone is still operating and will respond to new messages coming in, phone calls (though you can't use any keys), and Bluetooth, etc. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing fixes it except for pulling the battery (and waiting for it to restart--which takes longer than my computers). This did not happen back under Keyboard Lock before I upgraded the first time. I'm currently on 5.0.0.734Does anyone have any idea of what's happening, or what can be done to get out of the situation when it does occur, short of yanking the battery?

Feb 20, 2010Greetings, blackberry 8310: some keys are not working, now normally I would think it's because it has gone through some rough punishment, but odd enough, sometimes they work. The Keys i'm talking about are the Z-C-N-M-SPACE-RIGHT SHIFT-LOWER VOLUME keys, but, when I press Z like 10 times it starts to work, so does the C, and then the N and M and SPACE, and what's even weirder is that when the keys do work, they work without any problem whatsoever, I think it's a software problem or something or an OS problem but I'm not an engineer, so I dont know.

Aug 24, 2011I have a Curve 9330, running OS 6, and I have found a very annoying feature/bug, OR... When I am on an active call, the two possible methods to lock the keys (Mute button, "a" key) do NOT lock the keys.This is most annoying because... I have a bluetooth earpiece, and I am a big fan of using my cell phone "hands free". I can walk around, with my cell phone in my pocket, talking on the phone, moving from room to room, and doing things that might require 2 hands, etc.BUT, because of the feature/bug described above, I can NOT lock the keys once I'm on a call, so I cannot put the Curve in my pocket (or I'll start hitting keys inadvertently). Then, if I want to move, i have to take the Curve with me, so my bluetooth will stay in range. So now must walk around with the Curve in my hand - now I'm only "one-hand free." I cannot put dishes in the sink, or put on a pair of pants, or bring in groceries from the car, etc., etc., etc. - at least not easily.
