View 1 Replieswhen i grabbed my phone , the screen was blank, and the keyboard unresponsive, the phone was still receiving text messages and phone calls, but did not allow me to answer. I tried taking the battery out of the phone, and when i did that, a "no battery" symbol appeared, so i then knew that the screen was not damaged. When I put the battery back in, the screen went blank again. The battery must be charged, otherwise it would not allow phone calls to come through.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI checked my phone today and it had been working up to 3PM and after somewhere between then and 5PM I had been apparently locked out of my phone.. The screen won't appear no matter the keys I press.. I have tried unlocking it.. I have tried Standby Mode and I have taken the battery out multiple times, but nothing seems to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 (GSM version) has been freezing up lately. The keys do not respond and the screen is blank. The only way out so far has been to put the phone in DFU mode and restore in iTunes. This phone was previously locked to the AT&T network and was recently unlocked.

I've upgraded to v6 today from v5. In v5 I had simply turned off the 'dial from home screen' option & was able to use keys to directly access my apps. For eg I would press 'M' to open messages or 'N' for BBM, 'U' for calculator etc. I can't seem to do this any more in v6.

Is there any fix? I have both a e71 and a e72 (the e71 LCD screen stopped working, I ordered a LCD replacement and am yet to try it out). Is there anyway I can take the e72's innards and put it in the exterior of the e71?
Why does this happen? My firmware is updated (Ovi Suite says mine is the latest), I have tried soft rebooting, hard rebooting, factory reset, hard reset, whatever possible "standard" solutions. Is there any real solution at all? It's kind of annoying especially for fast typers!

I've tried plugging it in and removing the battery. The light on the keys are on and I can place and receive calls but No Screen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis has happened to me about three times. I always manually press the power key to turn off the display and lock the phone before placing it in my pocket. Three times now, I have removed the phone from my pocket and found the soft keys lit up but the screen is black. The only key that responds is the power button... nothing else works. Every press of the power button toggles the soft key backlight, but nothing else. The only remedy I have found is to pull the battery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen going in "locked" mode for keys and screen (automatically, or by doing it myself via the Key lock switch ), this also locks the "call key", making it impossible to answer an incoming call by merely pressing the call key. I first have to unlock keys and screen by using the Key lock switch. I have all the latest updates installed and already tried the obvious like restarting the phone, getting called by several fixed and mobile phones (to detect a 'pattern' - without success, as strangely enough 1 time out of 10 the key DOES respond as expected), changing the settings for the automatic key-locking,.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI updated my x10 mini pro a few days ago to android 2.1 The problem is that after the update the menu, home and back keys don't work after screen timeout so I have to press the key on the top of the phone to activate the screen and then unlock it.The point is why the hardware keys on the front don't work after screen timeout? Pressing the key on the top and then unlocking the phone can be really annoying...

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have no idea what's happened, but since I last looked my phone refuses to recognise input from keys. The keyboard, top keys (red./green, menu, return) and even the side shortcuts are all useless. I've tried a battery pull, it turns on ok and I can use the scroller to move along the shortcut bar, but as soon as it times out and the light goes off even that won't bring function back. I'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight.
