I checked my phone today and it had been working up to 3PM and after somewhere between then and 5PM I had been apparently locked out of my phone.. The screen won't appear no matter the keys I press.. I have tried unlocking it.. I have tried Standby Mode and I have taken the battery out multiple times, but nothing seems to work.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy keyboard on my phone will only let me type a j and a k once I press one of them, and the j key types a k and the k key types a j, none of the other buttons do anything when it happens and so I have to reboot, when it does it all over again, what shall I do?Also, the screen goes black after a while if I keep trying other buttons meaning I need to reboot again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust about every day, my BlackBerry Curve 8530 becomes unresponsive to any keys. I use Password Lock (because I have no choice--I upgraded and lost Keyboard Lock) and if I see that the red light is blinking and I go to "sign in" and it won't respond to any keys, including the convenience keys, dial/hang-up, trackpad and click, and Media buttons. However, the phone is still operating and will respond to new messages coming in, phone calls (though you can't use any keys), and Bluetooth, etc. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing fixes it except for pulling the battery (and waiting for it to restart--which takes longer than my computers). This did not happen back under Keyboard Lock before I upgraded the first time. I'm currently on 5.0.0.734.Does anyone have any idea of what's happening, or what can be done to get out of the situation when it does occur, short of yanking the battery?

I first have to unlock keys and screen by using the Key lock switch. I noticed ever since the 5.0 upgrade that i got in April for my ATT S5 that I have been missing calls and texts due to my phone going into silent in my pocket because the dreaded volume keys are able to press themselves in my pocket even with the screen locked and off. I don't see an option to stop this behavior and to me it seems like an OBVIOUS place for there to be an option.
What can I do to stop this? Even worse sometimes it will click up to a high ringtone volume and go off when I am in a meeting at work.
I love my htc one m8 but since I have received the phone 2 weeks ago there has been an error. For example, just today I tried typing a message to my mom and out of nowhere the x, s and z buttons just keep pressing. The phone will allow me to delete the letters sometimes and other times it will just freeze. It is very annoying.

I have an icon on my screen that only shows up when I lock my keys it is a blue and white square and thats about all I can tell about it, since I can only see it when the keys are locked and the screen goes black very quickly when locked I cannot examine the Icon very well Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have gone through all my messages and applications and cant seem to find anything. also when I first noticed the icon it had a 1 next to it and it is now up to 4 so I feel it is some kind of message, but i'm very confused as to why it will only show when the keys are locked.I look forward to see what everyone has to say about this as I have always been VERY pleased with the GREAT information I get from this site!

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen i grabbed my phone , the screen was blank, and the keyboard unresponsive, the phone was still receiving text messages and phone calls, but did not allow me to answer. I tried taking the battery out of the phone, and when i did that, a "no battery" symbol appeared, so i then knew that the screen was not damaged. When I put the battery back in, the screen went blank again. The battery must be charged, otherwise it would not allow phone calls to come through.

I've set up my personal information to show on the lock screen so that if I ever lose my phone someone who find's it can contact me. However, when I lock the screen, it dims down / shuts off and when I press any button, I get a message saying "Keypad is locked. press the Mute...". If I don't unlock it, the screen shuts off / dims down again. So basically, I never get to see the lock screen message I've set up, it's always hidden. I didn't have this problem with my old Pearl.

since I've upated my BB 8900 to 5.0.0.592 (official release of my provider), the alarm clock is not ringing when the phone is locked.
When it's unlocked there is no problem and the alarm is sounding.
But when it's locked it does only display an information about the alarm on the screen, but no sound :smileysad: How can I fix that? I'dont want to get too late too often!
Blackberry Curve 8520 has locked and just has a white screen. Hasn't been dropped, it just happened. Have tried reloading OS but makes no difference. Is there anything that can be done to fix it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made the mistake of buying my daughter an iphone 4 off of craigslist today. Normal story no available upgrades to use and needed to replace a phone. Had someone meet the seller and pick up the phone for me and when I received it found it to be doa. When powering up all I got was a dark blue screen and never comes out of it. After several hours of playing with it found that if I firmly press the top left corner of the screen the display comes on and everything works as it should but as soon as you let go of the corner it fades away and the screen is completely unresponsive.I did a full restore and still the same issue.

I've had issues with my N97 since i bought it direct from Nokia on the day of release. Always put it down to software, but the last few months it got to the point where I couldn't even accept a call by pressing the screen/buttons. The screen also had a dark streak down the left side. So, I took it to the Carphonewarehouse, obviously under warrenty and was sent to Nokia for repair.
the silver trim has been half scraped off on the buttons and keyboard trim AND the screen has a 1cm bright spot in the middle of it. I am FURIOUS...............1/ because it took 23 to fix when all they did is replace it. 2/ because they've sent me a second hand phone 3/ that the 'new' phone is worse condition than the one I sent in!! They didn't even bother to put the latest firmware on it!!
CPW didn't offer me the returns receipt either, i had to ask for it, but that's a CPW issue. Actual fault found (as recorded by engineer): Faulty applications on the handset when purchased. As i've always updated the firmware I can only conclude this faulty software cannot be fixed by the firmware update, and the handset must be replaced as mine was. Other phones must be suffering the same problem.......
I often forget pulling the icon up. Is it possible to launch them by clicking the app just like how it works in the dock, etc? Btw I am using 4.3.

When I swipe passcode dots screen is only black. When I connect to PC with USB Phone is detected but I cannot access phone or SD Card. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 6 month old Galaxy S5 on Verizon, and in the past month I've had a problem where I will press the home button to turn the screen on and there will be a delay of up to 4 seconds before the screen lights up and I can unlock. Oftentimes, the delay is so long that the phone turns the screen back off from inactivity a split second after it finally comes on.
If I am actively using the phone, and then turn the screen off and right back on, there is no delay. It's only after turning back on after several minutes of inactivity (which is most of the time). It's almost as if the phone has put itself to sleep and is taking a long time to wake.I am on Android 4.4.4. If it matters, I also get the camera-daemon battery suck issue from time to time.
I am having trouble with my HTC Wildfire S since when I press the power button, the touch buttons switch on but the screen remains black. In order for the screen to appear, I either need to touch the screen or else wait for a few seconds until something comes up.
