Lumia 1520 :: Doesn't Light Up Navigation Keys
Dec 2, 2014I have just bought a Lumia 1520 black last night. It was almost brand new and I love the screen size and quality. It is a truly fantastic phone. But I've noticed that the navigation keys on my 1520 do not light up from the beginning. If I was more careful I could ask the seller right away, but I didn't notice it at the time.. Is it normal that the navigation keys do not light while I'm using in the bright place?

May 16, 2012The navigation keys on Nokia X6, viz,. call(Green) & End (Red) always stay on, even after the screen lock. Normally, they are supposed to turn off automatically, when you lock the screen.I tried resetting the phone to Factory Settings, which failed solving the issue. I though of re-installing the phone software. During the re-installation, I see a screen that shows the progress of the installation, with a notice stating "Do not disconnect your phone" & "During installation, your phone restarts & screen goes blank." Well, when the installation progresses, the phone restarts, and the Ovi Updater shows "Lost connection to phone. Reconnect & start again". Everytime I reconnect and start again, the phone restarts in a while & I see the same old "Lost connection to phone" error. It runs like an infinite loop.

Sep 6, 2012Can move the Home, Back and Recent buttons down off the screen? I have seen this option on the Oneplus One as a setting - device - buttons that is on the lollipop version too. I find this layout most annoying on the Z5 E6683 as it gets in the way of most apps and reduces the actual space available on screen.

Nov 28, 2013So I recently just replaced my Lumia 1020 with another 1020 because it wasn't able to make or receive phone calls. When it did, it connected to 2G and wouldn't switch back to LTE. I just got my new 1020 yesterday but now the keys on the screen won't like up unless I cover the sensor new the ear piece. I don't want to have to do that every time I use my phone and I'd rather not do a hard reset since my other phone is still resetting as I type this (going on 17 hours).

The only time it lights up is when I open the phone from the lock screen and it lasts about half a second. I also have a Samsung Focus S Windows Phone and the keys stay lit while I'm using the phone.

The capacitive keys at the bottom are much brighter than before denim. Now it maybe something in my eyes, or I just never noticed how bright they were...but I'm sure that before denim, the lights weren't that noticeable.

May 30, 2014I've tried charging my Nokia 1020 for 8 hours with no luck. After that I tried the 2 key and 3 key reset with no luck as well. I tried to plug it up to my computer but I got nothing there either. I am getting no indication that its charging and I'm starting to think I'm out of options. Is there anything else I can try? Oct 2, 2012when i grabbed my phone , the screen was blank, and the keyboard unresponsive, the phone was still receiving text messages and phone calls, but did not allow me to answer. I tried taking the battery out of the phone, and when i did that, a "no battery" symbol appeared, so i then knew that the screen was not damaged. When I put the battery back in, the screen went blank again. The battery must be charged, otherwise it would not allow phone calls to come through.

Mar 27, 2010I've upgraded to v6 today from v5. In v5 I had simply turned off the 'dial from home screen' option & was able to use keys to directly access my apps. For eg I would press 'M' to open messages or 'N' for BBM, 'U' for calculator etc. I can't seem to do this any more in v6.

Is there any fix? I have both a e71 and a e72 (the e71 LCD screen stopped working, I ordered a LCD replacement and am yet to try it out). Is there anyway I can take the e72's innards and put it in the exterior of the e71?
Why does this happen? My firmware is updated (Ovi Suite says mine is the latest), I have tried soft rebooting, hard rebooting, factory reset, hard reset, whatever possible "standard" solutions. Is there any real solution at all? It's kind of annoying especially for fast typers!

Sometimes it hides by itself, but I have not found a way, unlike the HTC One M8 for Windows, for you to hide the buttons at will. This is especially troublesome when text messaging and I think I press spacebar, when in reality I pressed the Windows key. Even more troublesome that the Messaging app is so unreliable that when I return to it the app crashes.
