Lumia 950 :: How To Hide The Navigation Bar On Phone
Dec 28, 2015
The Lumia 950, as you know, does not have capacitive buttons for back, Windows, and search. As such, the navigation bar appears at the bottom of the phone. Sometimes it hides by itself, but I have not found a way, unlike the HTC One M8 for Windows, for you to hide the buttons at will. This is especially troublesome when text messaging and I think I press spacebar, when in reality I pressed the Windows key. Even more troublesome that the Messaging app is so unreliable that when I return to it the app crashes.
I bought today the LG G3 S Beat D722 and when i run my apps i want to hide home touch buttons. I searched the options and its no where to be found.... Android version is 5.0.2 .... How can i hide the navigation bar?
Can move the Home, Back and Recent buttons down off the screen? I have seen thisĀ option onĀ the Oneplus One as a setting - device - buttons that is on the lollipop version too. I find this layout most annoying on the Z5 E6683 as it gets in the way of most apps and reduces the actual space available on screen.
I got my Lumia 950 and it's a dual Sim... Where I live, we only use 1 Sim. Is there a way to not display the icon of the 2nd Sim? (on the top left of the screen)
With Win 10 on both desktops and mobile MS seems to really want to hog up valuable screen space with taskbars. While in photo mode the taskbar goes away to allow full screen use, given that phones will always be limited in screen space I wish MS would allow the taskbar to autohide at least as a choose able option. The actual useable screen space on my 950 is not much more than my old 920 because of the constant taskbar.
I have tried everything to try and resolve my issues but have not been able to do so. First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
Many of us have no issue with the antenna. I happen to like the iPhone as it is- i don't want to hide a beautiful sculpture with a plastic cover. But Apple has offered me a bumper and I'm taking it. I justify it as I have a proximity sensor that still doesn't work, although a supposed fix is promised.
1) Is there going to be any market for these bumpers after everyone gets one? Will Apple take them back for credit (doubt it).
2) What bumper does one get if one really doesn't want a bumper- or one doesn't want to hide the iPhone? Even the Apple bumper hides the metal antenna, which I think is one of the coolest design features.
Is there a way so it doesn't show any number there? I just want to see the clean phone screen, as if I clicked Call. Is there a way to do this? I just find it annoying to see the last number there.
all of a sudden my icons lost color. not all of them, but most of them. when i tried to hide icons that i do not use, it would not hide them. and i cannot recharge my phone from the auto. i have tried other autos and different chargers, the electric charger works fine too.
if anyone knows how to hide videos on the bold 9700, will you please try and help me with this. ps. its nothing dirty, its just so if my phone gets stolen, no one will be viewing my videos, etc.
Samsung has changed the settings in Galaxy S2 so it is no more possible to simply say: [Settings] > [Call settings] > [All calls] > [Show my number] > [Hide] This option does no longer exist that simple. Has anyone found out where Samsung has hidden this functionality so I can choose to hide my phone number. ?
I wonder why Samsung has chosen to make that so complicated
I am using Galaxy S5, andriod 5.0. How to hide the message content in the notification bar when i am using the phone? Let the notification bar just show "1 new message"?
I start noticing this issue about a week ago. When my Lumia battery get to about 50% or less, even though my physical location is San Francisco, my GPS location becomes either somewhere in Ohio near Akron or in Georgia near Alpharetta. Thus all applications that require location become useless!
I am trying to sync. favorites I create on maps.nokia.com with Nokia Maps 2.5.29.357 on my Lumia 900 (WP 7.5), but they will not transfer from the web interface to the phone. Favorites I create on the phone transfer just fine to my account on maps.nokia.com. Is there a way to "push" favorites to the phone from the web interface?
So I finally tried to use Nokia Drive on a real trip (in New Jersey, USA) and I've noticed that the software often seems stuck on returning you to the originally plotted route when you deviate from it, instead of finding the best remaining route based on the new location. I'll give details for my particular trip in case this is a local issue.
We decided to take the NJ Turnpike to route 18 to River Road to Interstate 287 instead of 295 to 206 to 287 as Nokia Drive recommended (the routes are roughly equivalent in travel time, so I don't fault this initial route selection). When we entered the Turnpike, the new route kept trying to get us to 295 until we passed Exit 7 (In reality, past Exit 5 there isa considerable penalty to getting off the turnpike and onto I 295).
Finally, after Exit 7 it decided we should stay on the turnpike and get to 287 directly using Exit 10 (This too is roughly equivalent in travel time, so it was a reasonable suggestion). Once we took Exit 9 to route 18 instead it picked a different route than the one we are familiar with and this is where the biggest problem occurred. The route it suggested would enter 287 North at Exit 7, while the route we took entered 287 at Exit 9. It kept insisting we get back on its rout and get on at exit 7 to the point that when we were about to enter 287 at exit 9, it told us to get onto 287 *south* and take it to exit 7 where we would exit the highway and immediately re-enter it northbound. This is rediculous and should never have been suggested.
Am I right in my assessment that the software tries to stick to the original route instead of calculating a new one on the spot? What possible advantage can there be in doing it this way?
My lumia 900, 3 navigation buttons at the bottom of screen have stooped working that's the back arrow, windows start button, search button making the phone unusable have reset phone to factory setting still the same?
when i use my lumia 800 GPS to travel, is their a way to save the journey on the phone so that next time i dont have to replan the same route. also can i make a trip using via points?
On my Samsung Ativ S, the navigation bar lights up if you touch the screen but turns off after a few seconds even if the screen is still on. With my 1520 the lights always stay on when the screen is on. They are very bright and wondering why they dont turn off to save battery.
I used the voice command to "navigate" to a place however, my only choice was the AT&T app. Is there a way I can change that "default" nav app to nokia drive? I love Nokia drive over AT&T's nav app not to mention it is an extra fee. It is not worth paying versus Nokia drive , I just don't prefer it.So that's my issue How do I change the default app the phone wants to use (ATT Nav) to Nokia Drive.
There should be a dialog or other view to show the current location as coordinates in Nokia Maps. This kind of information can be needed in some cases and currently there is no support to get the coordinates.
I just bought a new lumia 710 here in Singapore and I am trying out the offline navigation. I've already downloaded the maps here but everytime I would search for the destination, the phone keeps on searching for it "online". I thought offline should work with Lumia
Hope you had a lovely Christmas, those that were celebrating
I got a Lumia 1020 a few days ago, and have noticed the lights of the 3 buttons at the button aren't working. I can't remember having seen them glow. Even last night, the didn't seen to be working in the dark.
I am currently using DP, could that be the reason?
I have just bought a Lumia 1520 black last night. It was almost brand new and I love the screen size and quality. It is a truly fantastic phone. But I've noticed that the navigation keys on my 1520 do not light up from the beginning. If I was more careful I could ask the seller right away, but I didn't notice it at the time.. Is it normal that the navigation keys do not light while I'm using in the bright place?
