View 5 RepliesDoes anybody know if the phones navigation speaker voice can be set to be heard via bluetooth in the cars audio system? (as the I have with the other phone functions)
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my Lumia is connected to the car via bluetooth, its connected with both audio profiles, Voice (Phone Call Audio) and Music (A2DP).So when connected and Nokia Drive is running the audio is sent to A2DP to then be sent to the aux input of the car stereo. This is all well and good if you have the radio on and AUX selected. But if you are listening to FM radio or a CD etc you don't hear any voice guidance from Nokia Maps.
This is a question directed at Nokia Maps Developers. Can a setting be created that allows you to select audio output via bluetooth? If you could select it to go via the Voice/Phone call Profile, like for instance the Speech input works on Windows Phone, for reading/replying to text messages, then when ever there is a direction to be spoken, the car bluetooth would treat it as a phone call, cut sound to the radio and speak the direction through the speakers no matter what the radio was outputting. If the above doesn't make sense then please ask me as this would be a worth while setting to be developed.
Is there any way to change or delete one track on mac or there is any other way to change
Info:iPod touch, iOS 4.2
I've changed the voice on my S5 under Settings > Language and input > Text-to-speech options, but despite that, the navigation voice remains unchanged. It doesn't matter if I use the Samsung engine or the Google engine, I still get the original nav voice. Can this actually be changed?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge and am really liking it so far. However the one thing (so far) that I don't like is that I cannot use a 3rd party application to listen to my voice mails. My provider sends my voice messages as an AMR attachment in an MMS. When playing the AMR attachment the default app is sound player (I think), which plays the audio through the external speaker. With other phones I have had great success with WavPlayer which allows switching between the external speaker and the ear speaker. It will even allow you to switch automatically if it detects you raising the phone to your ear.
In short I want to use WavPlayer instead of the default app for listening to my voicemails from the messages app but have not figured out how to accomplish this.
I have used Ovi Map 3.03 with free navigation license.I have only one question, is it possible to change the map language to my local language (Thai) without changing the phone language? Example, now I set my phone language as English then my map shown in English else set phone language to Thai then map will show in Thai. Is it possible to used phone language in English but map label shown in Thai? because phone language in Thai has many incorrect translations.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently bought Nokia Lumia 920 in UAE. It came pre-installed with all Nokia location service apps - Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive+, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Transit. By default, a lot of stuff, directions, routes, info comes in Arabic language. Now, i am an expat living in UAE (like the other 90% of the population) and i do not read or understand Arabic. How can i make all these apps show me info in English? Its bugging me a lot cause am unable to use any of these apps properly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSeems like History is repeating itself. When Nokia launched Lumia 800, we all complained about "Disastrous Audio Quality"... Nokia stepped up and released some fixes which enabled the audio drivers/bass issue.
Now Nokia has finally released the much anticipated WP 7.8 update. Got it installed and to my surprise, the audio volume via "Nokia Monster purity headset" is too low. It feels that I am playing the song @ volume "15", although the volume is set to "30"
Nokia, have a second look at your firmware and release a patch to pump up the music volume. Not everyone wants to listen music at "Super Low Volume"..
I've had my Lumia 900 on Rogers for about 2 weeks, sometime in the last couple of days I seem to have lost all call audio.
I've tried incoming and outgoing calls, on handset, speaker, wired headset, and bluetooth - nobody can hear me and I can't hear anyone. Volume is up nice and loud.
Music works through the speaker and wired headset, and the mic in the headset and phone work in the diagnostics app.
This is odd? Are there any settings I can check for call audio?
As far as I know, the stereo recording is only used when recording video, because it uses the two rear microphones. If we use the audio recording app, it uses the front microphone and records in mono. Is there any way to record just audio in stereo without having to actually film?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had this same issue before sending it in for Nokia repair. For some reason my audio from listening to a earphone does not work right. I get a very low echo sound of the music and I don't get any voice. Podcast, I get silence and don't know why I get this issue. It does not have any water damage and has no scratches. I have screen protector on the front and back. Never had this issue with my HTC HD7. Now I did clean the jack input with a earpick and still the same issue. I don't want to send it in again to Nokia repair because I will be with out a phone for 3 weeks. Very upset and if I can't get it working then Samsung or HTC will be my next Windows phone 8 phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was fairly happy with the phone until I tried to listen to music on it. Sound quality (no matter which headphones I use, up to Westone 3) is awful. There's no bass whatsoever, the sound is dirty, no stereo separation etc. etc. Really, I haven't heard anything as awful in years. This is such an outlier among modern phones I really can't get how this passed the quality control.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm planing to switch to Lumia 930 from iPhone 5s, and so far, everything what i've found convinced me to make a switch except audio quality when listening to the (local) music. I just really can't find impressions from actual user about this. Many people are telling me that audio quality with in ear headphones is terrible, cant even be compared with iPhone 5s' sound quality. But honestly I doubt that it can be THAT BAD on one flagship phone.
I'm using iphone since 3g, i switched once to Galaxy S (when it was released) then after couple of months moved back to iphone, and another trip to android last year with Xperia Z but couldn't wait to get rid of android once again. Quality on both android phones was noticeably worse than on any iphone i used. I don't want to make same mistake again since listening to the music on the phone is a big thing for me.
I have a Nokia. Lumia, blutooth on calls is ok, tho I do have to press blutooth again when making outgoing call wich I find odd as...... As soon as I pick my phone up and unlock it stops audio in car, so even if checking Mai l, mesage, wHatsapp etc the audio drops off in car, I have to keep pressing the fm button to get off bt audio,
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy sound keep cutting out while I am in call :( The sound works great on speakerphone but as soon as I switch back to the normal earpiece it cuts out intermittently.
Music works great and earphones work fine too, It only drops sound when I make/and receive calls. It's a real pain to have a conversation when you can't hear the other person 50% of the time.
I recently had a new battery and another internal battery/charging related component changed because the battery wouldn't hold a charge or charge at all for that matter. They also changed the screen and rear case which was nice :D But the sound fault was not there before I sent my phone off for repair so it could be the new audio jack on the rear case that is faulty ...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Nokia 928 to a Nokia Icon. Ever since, I have had intermittent problems with my Bluetooth audio in my Acura TSX. The song will sometimes breakup or skip, almost like an old record with a scratch. Despite reminiscing about the good old days of record albums, this is a real nuisance.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Lumia 950, as you know, does not have capacitive buttons for back, Windows, and search. As such, the navigation bar appears at the bottom of the phone. Sometimes it hides by itself, but I have not found a way, unlike the HTC One M8 for Windows, for you to hide the buttons at will. This is especially troublesome when text messaging and I think I press spacebar, when in reality I pressed the Windows key. Even more troublesome that the Messaging app is so unreliable that when I return to it the app crashes.

I've made sure the phone is up to date with updates and all apps are updated. I can't think of anything. The only thing close to common is with a few crashes I was playing audio.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this..What I want to do is keep the bluetooth voice link in my car (all working great btw) but disable the audio so that navigation directions come from the phone speaker. My Nokia N8 did this by default but I cannot seem to find an option in Setting or Drive to prevent the audio from going to Bluetooth.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my Lumia 920, I've inserted a small plastic headphone jack charm (like this one) and noticed that the audio from the ear piece no longer outputs audio. I'm guessing that the phone thinks a headphone is attached and sends the audio to the headphone, even though the headphone plug of the charm is made of plastic.
This is a little bit annoying since this charm seems to work fine on other phones, including my previous Samsung Focus WP7 device.
Couldn't the hardware be a little smarter to detect if a plastic plug is inserted rather than a metal one? Is there any setting to configure the phone to output audio through the ear speaker even when the jack is being used?
