I bought lumia 710 just 2days ago, everything was ok with the phone. But when I tried to listen music with handsfree provided with phone, l found my phone audio jack was not working as handsfree was ok with other devices. My first attempt to go with Nokia brand
I had this same issue before sending it in for Nokia repair. For some reason my audio from listening to a earphone does not work right. I get a very low echo sound of the music and I don't get any voice. Podcast, I get silence and don't know why I get this issue. It does not have any water damage and has no scratches. I have screen protector on the front and back. Never had this issue with my HTC HD7. Now I did clean the jack input with a earpick and still the same issue. I don't want to send it in again to Nokia repair because I will be with out a phone for 3 weeks. Very upset and if I can't get it working then Samsung or HTC will be my next Windows phone 8 phone.
Audio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.
Having problems with RAZR and the audio out abilities? I was on a plane a few weeks ago, put my headphones in and couldn't figure out why I had no sound... turns out all my neighbors heard it cause it was coming out of the speaker... Then when I got back to the US last week, I put it in my car dock and it doesn't send audio to the cable and plays only thru the speaker as well.
Can someone please explain the details of this phone's 3.5mm audio jack? I read somewhere that you need to use a dongle or something? How does this work? I searched for more details but with no luck. I might buy this phone today. I was looking into using the audio jack in this phone to connect to the audio jack in my car, to play music directly off the phone. Has this been tried by any of Samsung Jack's owners?
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.
Can I give audio out through my xperia pro 3.5mm jack to car aux port or amplifier input? Is any problem face my pro do like that? That means it cause any overload or sound ic problem?
My phone (lumia 800) thinks all the time that I have headphones plugged in no mater if it is true or not. And when I connect normal headphones, that worked before the issue started, it opens Tellme (voice control). I've already tried hard restart but it didn't fix the problem.
I really have two issues involving the headphone jack. When I plug the headphone in, the volume will occasionally drop to zero and then no longer go up. A power off fixes this. A second thing I discovered is that sometimes the microphone does not work after plugging in my headphones. I first noticed this when I was trying to use the speakerphone in my car with the line out through my stereo.I started using voice control and I noticed that the microphone was not picking up any sound. I could tell this because of the visual waveform display.
I am trying to figure out if there is a way I can enable audio at the device while the headphone jack is in use. The reason is, I am using my headphone jack to record the call to an external recorder. But I of course need to be able to hear the caller too. Is there a way?
My iphone 4G has a problem and its already been out of warranty and i dont know which carrier it was purchased since its 2nd hand when i bought it.This audio jack flex cable had a tear and does not function anymore including the volume buttons and the mute switch as well as the headphone jack. Kindly see link for sample picture of the part i am referring.
I thought that maybe this problem was related to the .484, but have since installed a .419 based hybrid (Driphter v6.3) and I'm still having the same problem.
What is happening is I am using the headphone jack with an aux cable to plug my BB into an external powered speaker. After every song, the volume will reset itself to a lower volume. Once I click one of the volume buttons, it returns to it's previous volume, but does this after EVERY SINGLE SONG. This occurs while playing music in Slacker, GrooveShark, AND the BB Music player, so it is not related to the software that I am using.
I have checked the options in the media player, and enabled/disabled AUDIO BOOST over and over again and it doesn't make a difference, though every time I enable audio boost, it shows the popup warning about volume levels, I select the box that says "Don't Show me this again", yet, everytime I enable or the audio boost this message still pops up.
This problem is driving me insane, it is impossible to listen to music unless I reset the volume after EVERY SONG. This is a replacement 9630 from Sprint, is it possible that it is the phone itself? Should I get ANOTHER replacement?
The stereo sound on my galaxy s6 edge's audio Jack stopped working after plugging it into an old (20+ years) sound system via auxiliary. The left still works but the right just makes a buzzing noise.
Its been a while since I posted on here but I woke up this morning to a phone call and while trying to talk to the person on the other end my blackberry kept thinking I was plugging in and unplugging a wired headset making it impossible to communicate. When I actually plugged in my wired headset it worked fine but from then on any calls without the headset have the same issue.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I recently updated a ton of system and user apps however the phone was working fine until this morning.I've done a battery pull, blown compressed air into the audio jack itself, I've restored the phone in desktop manager, and I've even taken the phone apart and made sure the contacts for the audio jack weren't obscured but to no avail.Do you think this could be a hardware issue with the jack or is it more likely to be a software issue? I'm thinking hardware considering it works fine with the wired headset in place
Seems like History is repeating itself. When Nokia launched Lumia 800, we all complained about "Disastrous Audio Quality"... Nokia stepped up and released some fixes which enabled the audio drivers/bass issue.
Now Nokia has finally released the much anticipated WP 7.8 update. Got it installed and to my surprise, the audio volume via "Nokia Monster purity headset" is too low. It feels that I am playing the song @ volume "15", although the volume is set to "30"
Nokia, have a second look at your firmware and release a patch to pump up the music volume. Not everyone wants to listen music at "Super Low Volume"..
I've had my Lumia 900 on Rogers for about 2 weeks, sometime in the last couple of days I seem to have lost all call audio.
I've tried incoming and outgoing calls, on handset, speaker, wired headset, and bluetooth - nobody can hear me and I can't hear anyone. Volume is up nice and loud.
Music works through the speaker and wired headset, and the mic in the headset and phone work in the diagnostics app.
This is odd? Are there any settings I can check for call audio?
I was fairly happy with the phone until I tried to listen to music on it. Sound quality (no matter which headphones I use, up to Westone 3) is awful. There's no bass whatsoever, the sound is dirty, no stereo separation etc. etc. Really, I haven't heard anything as awful in years. This is such an outlier among modern phones I really can't get how this passed the quality control.
I am having issues with my 900, I have no audio when making calls either outgoing or incoming...no speaker phone either. When I use Tango Video calls the audio works fine.
After updating my L 800 from Nokia Care the ear piece volume loudspeaker volume and head phone volume reduced 35%! It comes back when flash it to WP 7.5....Need urgent fix for this with the official role out of WP 7.8 update...otherwise it will be tough time for time you....So many loyal customers like me....
I have not been able to find the answer to this anywhere on the web, and the Nokia Specifications page for the Lumia 920 lists "WMA 10 Pro" and "WMA 9" as supported Music format Codecs. Does the 920 play back audio files in the WMA Lossless format?
Phone randomly crashing? I've had nothing that ties the crashes together, but I've had at least a dozen in the 48 hours I've had it. I've made sure the phone is up to date with updates and all apps are updated. I can't think of anything. The only thing close to common is with a few crashes I was playing audio.
I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this..What I want to do is keep the bluetooth voice link in my car (all working great btw) but disable the audio so that navigation directions come from the phone speaker. My Nokia N8 did this by default but I cannot seem to find an option in Setting or Drive to prevent the audio from going to Bluetooth.
On my Lumia 920, I've inserted a small plastic headphone jack charm (like this one) and noticed that the audio from the ear piece no longer outputs audio. I'm guessing that the phone thinks a headphone is attached and sends the audio to the headphone, even though the headphone plug of the charm is made of plastic.
This is a little bit annoying since this charm seems to work fine on other phones, including my previous Samsung Focus WP7 device.
Couldn't the hardware be a little smarter to detect if a plastic plug is inserted rather than a metal one? Is there any setting to configure the phone to output audio through the ear speaker even when the jack is being used?
My Lumia 900 is stuck in headset mode, even when I have pulled the headset out. I cannot hear/talk on the phone unless I go into speaker mode. I cannot hear any music or audio.. If I plug my headset back up I hear everything fine through the headset. I need to be able to use the phone without the headset!
I am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound. When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?
