The stereo sound on my galaxy s6 edge's audio Jack stopped working after plugging it into an old (20+ years) sound system via auxiliary. The left still works but the right just makes a buzzing noise.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I went out in my car and figured I wanted to listen to my music on my phone. Normally, I would listen to my music via bluetooth in my parents car but since my car stereo doesn't have bluetooth capability, I had to use USB. I didn't think I needed Bluetooth at the time I bought it since my iPhone that I had before worked flawlessly via USB. The stereo is an aftermarket Pioneer X35UI and all I get on the stereo is USB N/A. I was wondering if there was some sort of software/ workaround that would possibly make this possible to listen via USB. I could always listen via 3.5 mm jack but I wouldn't be able to control the music through the car. I would have to fumble around in my phone which is not good in a driving situation.

I was looking into using the audio jack in this phone to connect to the audio jack in my car, to play music directly off the phone. Has this been tried by any of Samsung Jack's owners?
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is using android lollipop 5.0.2 and suffer from the following problems.
Video problem: I could not watch any video in my device. In Facebook application and got this error “failed to play video an unknown error has occurred". YouTube app. got this error "there was a problem while playing touch to retry". Gallery video even if it has been recorded by the camera earlier.
Audio problem: I’m not able to play any music, got this error “sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file." and this file is the "Over the Horizon" song which came with the device. When i go to the settings to change the ringtone I am not hearing any sound for all them. I did not put the phone in silent mode but no sound for any received calls, notifications or SMS.
I tried everything i know to solve this issue, I done all of the following but it does not works: Clear the cache memory. Uninstall all the application from the device. Factory reset. Update software.
The only thing work with me is to restart the device but it will not solve the problem permanently, it will happen again after few hours.
As of the 5th of May, the sound from the speaker and sound jack has had random crackles in any sound that is played, either from someone ringing me, an alarm or just from the music player
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge and am really liking it so far. However the one thing (so far) that I don't like is that I cannot use a 3rd party application to listen to my voice mails. My provider sends my voice messages as an AMR attachment in an MMS. When playing the AMR attachment the default app is sound player (I think), which plays the audio through the external speaker. With other phones I have had great success with WavPlayer which allows switching between the external speaker and the ear speaker. It will even allow you to switch automatically if it detects you raising the phone to your ear.
In short I want to use WavPlayer instead of the default app for listening to my voicemails from the messages app but have not figured out how to accomplish this.
I have my S6 Edge connected via Bluetooth and each time there is a new chapter in Audible or a pause in Pandora audio, I noticed that audio fades in after a few seconds. This makes me lose a little bit of the audio each time. Is there some sort off Bluetooth optimization going on here or a tweak I can perform so that this doesn't happen anymore?

If we use the audio recording app, it uses the front microphone and records in mono. Is there any way to record just audio in stereo without having to actually film?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had this same issue before sending it in for Nokia repair. For some reason my audio from listening to a earphone does not work right. I get a very low echo sound of the music and I don't get any voice. Podcast, I get silence and don't know why I get this issue. It does not have any water damage and has no scratches. I have screen protector on the front and back. Never had this issue with my HTC HD7. Now I did clean the jack input with a earpick and still the same issue. I don't want to send it in again to Nokia repair because I will be with out a phone for 3 weeks. Very upset and if I can't get it working then Samsung or HTC will be my next Windows phone 8 phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAudio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.

I've tried the earbuds that came with the phone, as well as an old set of Sony Stereo headphones I have - listening to music downloads from the Spotify App as well as just using earbuds/headphones in normal phone mode (calls, voicemail, etc) - both only playing in Mono mode (no sound at all from left channel, only right). View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a T-Mobile S6 Edge, when I play any media with sound and the phone does ANYTHING else while sound is being played I get a loud distorted interference type sound. I can be playing music through an app, or local file, or watching a video with sound. Even if it's me locking the screen or rotating the screen it happens, also it doesn't matter if it's headphones, the phone's physical speaker, or a Bluetooth speaker it always happens.

How do I set my phone to be on vibrate for the ringer and to have sound with notifications.
New s6 edge+ and having trouble setting it up the way I want. When I get an e-mail (Yahoo! or Gmail) I want to see it up top on the notification line. I don't want to hear any sounds. When I get a text or other alert I DO want to both see a notification AND hear my chirp. No matter how I set it up in settings it seems as though I always get the visual notification (that's good) , but I either get sounds for everything or no sounds for everything. I can't split the sounds for just texts and alerts and no sound for email.
