Is there a high quality stereo audio recorder available for N8? The in-built app can only record at highest of 64kbps.I'm looking for one with at least stereo 128kbps capability.

If we use the audio recording app, it uses the front microphone and records in mono. Is there any way to record just audio in stereo without having to actually film?

I've tried the earbuds that came with the phone, as well as an old set of Sony Stereo headphones I have - listening to music downloads from the Spotify App as well as just using earbuds/headphones in normal phone mode (calls, voicemail, etc) - both only playing in Mono mode (no sound at all from left channel, only right). I'm using a 3.5mm adapter, if that makes a difference?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....

When not logged in app shows high bitrate of a particular song (192-256) but after logging in, it shows bitrate of the same song as 64 kbps?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI just purchased and tested the Miccus Bluetooth Audio receiver.The setup and syncing of the device was easy and successful.However, as soon as I began playing back any media on the phone and outputting the sound via the wireless Bluetooth protocol, I heard very bad static and distorted sound on the stereo, which is connected to the Miccus receiver.I then tested the Miccus receiver on my roommate's 8530 blackberry and the sound was crystal clear! What gives? And could this be a software or hardware issue with the 9650?(phone calls via separate bluetooth headset work fine)

My Photon must be having Apple envy and has decided to refuse to cooperate. Unlocking can still be an occasional two minute ordeal with many whispered metaphorical condemnations of it's heritage and habits. However, my main complaint is the bluetooth audio stutter I hear on a stereo headset.
I have no problems pairing and listinening to audio on a set of bluetooth stereo headphones via my MacBookPro (or my friend's iPhone), but the Photon makes me want to kick something very hard and repeatedly. The audio stutter-pop every 1/3 second (approximatly) is beyond frustrating.
The only thing that reduces the stuttering is if I hold the phone within 3 inches (yes, 3"!) of the headset. Oddly, my mono canal-style headset has a range of about 36 feet. Both of the headsets are less than two months old, and I know that the stereo headset is up to version 3.x of the bluetooth spec. (the Photon is using bluetooth v. 2.1).
I've just gotten my N8 for a week now, and it's been working alright other than the speaker. The speaker was giving me some problems around the 3rd day where I would try to play a song and there would be no sound except occasional bursts of audio (There would be around 5 secs of silence, then 1 sec of audio). It seemed to improve after the 5th day. Today, the speaker suddenly stopped working and I was wondering why there was no ring tone when someone called me. I also realised that my alarm didn't play and only vibrated.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn 1st July, 2012 I bought Nokia 701. Firstly from the day one I experience that the ringtone or any audio from the speaker have vibrations in it. I have to restart the phone to set it right. At times the audio is ok but whenever any call is there, the ringtone audio has vibrations. Secondly, whenever any video is made, the audio (microphone) does not catch the voice as the video generally has. This means the audio system is not good. Rest of the features are superb. The only thing is about the audio. I cant hear the voice when making call on speaker mode. I have used a number of NOKiA phones but for the first time I am facing problem in audio of NOKIA 701.

I don't have the stereo yet because I am a little wary of incompatibility because I have heard that iOS 4 has some issues with car stereos. View 21 Replies View RelatedGot my 32 GB iPhone 4 yesterday and set up as a new device using the same playlist of music that I used on my 32 3gs. I check marked the box to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC just like I had in the past with the 3gs. With the 3gs it brought a playlist consisting of 4625 songs at 26.70 GB down to 17 GB. With the iPhone 4 synced it does the same in the drop down menu under devices then iPhone in Music then at the bottom it lists the playlist that I use, both read 4625 songs at 17 GB. At the summary page with the bar at the bottom it reads I have 23.29 GB of audio on the iPhone and unplugging going to settings then about it reads 4625 songs at 23.29 GB. So I only have 4.48 GB free when I should have around 9 or 10. I resynced twice to see if it would change with the same outcome, restored the device and called apple care with no answer on why it reads different.Going to the Apple Store tomorrow unless one of you has a solution to this.

I do a lot of interviews in the course of my work and find it handy to use my mobile as a backup voice recorder in case my dictaphone fails (which does happen every now and again). My current phone is OK for this as the voice recording is in mp3 format and is decent quality with no restriction on length of recording. My previous phone had a 2 minute time limit which made it useless.
None of the reviews or tech specs that I have found detail the voice recording on the e72. Could someone who has the phone do me a huge favour and check this for me. What format does it record in? What is the quality like if the phone is on a conference table, could I realistically expect it to record a few voices at up to 2m away? Is there any time limit? Is it easy to transfer to PC and play in windows media player if necessary?
I bought a Nokia E72 a couple of weeks back. I did like the features of the phone and I was happy with it. I have been a Nokia user from the 5100, 3300, 3315, 3350, 8250, 3100 classic, N95, E71 and now the E72. When i record a voice conversation with the phone's voice recorder, the conversation is recorded with stutters (Hi Sanjay gets recorded like Hi Jay - San is missing).When I mute myself and then record the conversation, my voice still gets recorded (never happened with my N95 or the E71).What have I done so far.
I have registered a complaint with Nokia (been around 10 days or so), and they tell me that it 'MIGHT' get sorted in the next software update.I check at a Nokia service center locally, and they updated the software, and they dont bother to even check if the issue is solved. They had my phone for 2 days.I call back Nokia and they tell me give the phone to the service center.What am I supposed to do now? Would Nokia give me a solution? I did not pay a bomb for a phone to get such pathetic software and service. Someone at Nokia please give me an answer.
I would like to know is there any "Recorder app" that can record voice conversation over the phone? I had a hardware button on my Eseries device to activate recording instantly, please advise me on how this feature is possible on N900.

I've just bought the 5530 and I can't find the voice recorder. It's included in the list of apps if I go to settings>phone>application sett. and the settings for it can be changed.
