I've got my Droid and my Xoom both loaded up with my music but sometimes I want to stream it to my stereo. know of something I can hook up to my receiver which can receive bluetooth audio?
View 4 RepliesMy Photon must be having Apple envy and has decided to refuse to cooperate. Unlocking can still be an occasional two minute ordeal with many whispered metaphorical condemnations of it's heritage and habits. However, my main complaint is the bluetooth audio stutter I hear on a stereo headset.
I have no problems pairing and listinening to audio on a set of bluetooth stereo headphones via my MacBookPro (or my friend's iPhone), but the Photon makes me want to kick something very hard and repeatedly. The audio stutter-pop every 1/3 second (approximatly) is beyond frustrating.
The only thing that reduces the stuttering is if I hold the phone within 3 inches (yes, 3"!) of the headset. Oddly, my mono canal-style headset has a range of about 36 feet. Both of the headsets are less than two months old, and I know that the stereo headset is up to version 3.x of the bluetooth spec. (the Photon is using bluetooth v. 2.1).
Any audio that I stream to bluetooth speakers (Supertooth Disco) or headphones (Jabra Halo) has a lot of static and an occasional (and very annoying) popping sound. I've tried a few different programs both streaming audio and playing directly from the SD card. I have also tried using airplane mode to see if the other radios were causing the interference. I turned off all audio effects/EQ in the control panel as well. Everything sounds great wired directly to the speakers and my old phone doesn't have the same problem over bluetooth in the same environment.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have paired my HTC One "AT&T" with my 2012 Toyota Highlander. During the process I setup it up as a phone plus audio device. I can receive and make calls just fine without issue.
The problem is when I try to play pandora. No audio at all. Whats strange is thats its actually paired, i see the music symbol plus the connection strength bars on my console. It does not display any artist info or songs. When I play a song in pandora no audio on either my car or phone. Whats even stranger is I can use my car to skip songs in pandora but still no sound.
I have checked everything. Made sure bluetooth audio is setup in pandora. I have deleted my phone from toyota and the connection from my phone and repaired back up. Rebooted my phone.
I just purchased and tested the Miccus Bluetooth Audio receiver.The setup and syncing of the device was easy and successful.However, as soon as I began playing back any media on the phone and outputting the sound via the wireless Bluetooth protocol, I heard very bad static and distorted sound on the stereo, which is connected to the Miccus receiver.I then tested the Miccus receiver on my roommate's 8530 blackberry and the sound was crystal clear! What gives? And could this be a software or hardware issue with the 9650?(phone calls via separate bluetooth headset work fine)
View 12 Replies View RelatedI use a Bluetooth headset (Best Buy brand) when watching videos on my Xoom WiFi. However, the sound is nearly a second behind the video. I have the same problem when using the bluetooth headphones with my HP notebook. I understand that Bluetooth requires a lot more processing than hard-wired headphones. However, a fast processor such as the one in the Xoom should have negligible processing delay. I suppose the headphones could contribute most of the delay, but I still find it hard to accept that delay should be so long. I use digital hearing aids that have a 32 channel digital filter. The hearing instruments have to first do an A to D conversion, then process the audio and convert it back to Analog before sending the signal to the output transducer. Yet the delay through the hearing aids is negligible. Why is the delay so long through bluetooth or are the Best Buy headphones just crap? I really like using wireless headphones. Wired headphones are always getting tangled or I forget about the wires and walk away from my notebook and either yank the headphones off my head or come very close to dragging the notebook onto the floor.

However, since the update, streaming audio through my car's head unit via Bluetooth has stopped working properly. The music has a slightly increased tempo, and it skips every few seconds. There's also some static in the background. Listening to music (with Play or stock App) on headphones works fine.

View 1 Replies View Relatedis anyone else finding that their screen freezes if they are tring to watch any soet of video streaming? If i try and watch something lke bbc iplayer, on a good day i can just about get it to work at the small screen size that loads with the window, but if i try and go full screen the image frreezes but the audio track contiunes. It's the same if i try and export via hdmi. I have pretty solid wifi speed and signal strength is minimum of "fair " to "good/excellent " And it's not just iplayer but that is most common as major reason for purchase was to act as a wireless hub stream to my tv.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this mentioned on this forum, so I'd thought I would share. I have seen Splashtop in different Xoom app sections, always listed as a remote desktop software. As such, I didn't pay it much mind. However, I found someone in another forum talk about how good it is for streaming video over your local wifi network, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The results are actually quite fantastic, especially for a 5 dollar app. It does quite a good job as a remote desktop app, but it also transcodes video and audio to stream in very good quality to the Xoom. I have streamed 1080p movies, Netflix, etc, all to my Xoom with no delay or noticable drop in quality or video/audio sync. Note: this only works on your local WiFi network, but it's ideal for watching videos from your PC in bed.

I can't do it from the xoom stock browser, OR the Dolphin HD browser as well. I get no streaming, and on some sites I get a 'blue lego' character that tells me I'm missing a plug in.
Then there are other sites that work i.e. NOAA weather loop works. [URL]
i just recently got the xoom, it convinced me enough on reviews and looks but now i'm frustrated beyond belief. one of the main reasons i wanted a tablet was to use it to view videos online without having to download them and transfer them over.but that's all gone down hill since i brought home the xoom. i love it, my family loves it but it keeps dropping the connection only when i view videos. be it Internet or anything else, my connection will be dropped at about a minute but before reaching two minutes. basically all i have ever gotten to view is two minutes into videos before i get cut off. i can be standing right next to my router with perfect connection on everything but as soon as a video begins to play the connection gets dropped and i'm stuck with a brick in my hand.
i've tested it out with other devices such as my phone, and my 2 laptops, even the family wii and videos play like a charm. the xoom however likes to give me a small preview and then cut me off. i've looked into the problem all over the internet and haven't found any solution. before i get the whole it's your router spiel it's only happening when i try streaming a video. i've updated all i could think off to the latest versions but to no avail. i even focused on looking at the wifi indicator to see that it will have strong signal and be working perfectly but at around a minute and a half it shoots down the connection and shoots back up. this isn't a problem if i'm just browsing the web but the videos don't seem to resume loading after it gets the connection back.
good bluetooth set of stereo headphones? I had the plantranocis a while back with my original Droid and it worked great until I stepped outside.

Now, I use an aux. cable from the headphone jack to the aux on the stereo, but I hate having the cable running from the phone to the stereo. Anybody know of a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a stereo to do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI get in my car, where my car stereo has already been paired with my droid X2. The phone and the data both connect most of the time on it's own, sometimes I have to go into teh settings and tell it to connect. The main issue is, I will open an application I use to play audiobooks (Ambling) and start an audio book, which works fine. However, 90% of the time when I turn the screen off the phone will then proceed to restart. It will continue this behaviour until I shut down and power back on the phone, at which point everything works just fine. However as soon as leave my car, go into work or the store or whatever, and come back out to my car the chances are high I'll have to go through it again.

It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?

And, yes, we've tried re-setting the device as well. I've also called Motorola tech support -- and even got through to Level 2 Support. They couldn't figure it out either. The manual's instructions clearly do not match the functionality of the H730 hardware. How to stop the rather annoying voice prompts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen streaming music to my aftermarket Alpine car stereo via bluetooth I constantly get 1/2 second drops in sound. It is intermittant but happens with almost every song, sometimes 1 or 2 times per song, sometimes up to 5 or 6 times, and some songs it doesn't happen at all. It does it while streaming through Napster or through downloaded music on the stock player, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. At first I thought it could be a loss of 3g or 4g signal or the Razr searching for the signal but it has happened in both 3g and 4g coverage area. So today I thought I would check it while stopped in a parking lot, and it continued to happen, I'm still in a 3g area til Dec. but thought the phone could be searching for a signal causing the drop of sound so I disconnected from bluetooth and the problem goes away, so I'm pretty convinced it is a bluetooth issue, I did not have this problem with my DX, so I do not believe it's an issue with my car stereo'e bluetooth adapter. I do not have any issues with phone calls but do have an issue with connecting to my bluetooth unit sometimes. In the settings it says paired but not connected until I click on the setting then it connects. Also, this does not happen while listening at home through the speakers or headphones whether I'm streaming or downloading via 3g or wifi.

Often times this happens while simultaneously charging the phone but its not exclusive to that criteria. It's done it while off charger as well. Is this a heat issue? Too many things going on at once?

I've tried the earbuds that came with the phone, as well as an old set of Sony Stereo headphones I have - listening to music downloads from the Spotify App as well as just using earbuds/headphones in normal phone mode (calls, voicemail, etc) - both only playing in Mono mode (no sound at all from left channel, only right). I'm using a 3.5mm adapter, if that makes a difference?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....
It seems that the left audio channel likes to drop out at random intervals. At first I thought it might have to do with notifications but I have also observed it without any notifications.
This happens regardless of the music application (actually, I can only confirm for Amazon MP3 and Music Beta since I have not played the others long enough). When this happens, I pause, unplug for a few seconds, then plug and resume playback to get the fidelity back.
I can't imagine this hasn't been asked before, but I looked around and couldn't find the answer. I have an iTunes playlist that includes an internet audio stream. It works fine in the playlist on iTunes (on my laptop), but when I sync the playlist to my iPhone (4s) it ignores the internet audio stream. Is there any way to get an internet audio stream to be part of a playlist on an iPhone? I know there are apps that will do this, but I'm trying to get it to work within the "music" app on the iPhone so it integrates with my runkeeper app, which uses playlists.
