There does not appear to be a default setting for this anywhere on the phone.
Is it possible to force the audio output to be played through the speakers of the Xperia Ray, even when headphones are plugged in ? I know it is possible to do that when you listen to FM radio, but can you also do it when you listen to something else ? (... and particularly when you listen to your own music ?)

I was looking into using the audio jack in this phone to connect to the audio jack in my car, to play music directly off the phone. Has this been tried by any of Samsung Jack's owners?
Headphones jack is only line out? Can i record sound only frontal jack line in?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen using Skype video call the phone gets hotter and when it reaches 45 degc (battery temp) the person on the other end of the call can't hear me. My audio input is no longer being picked up.
Â
Happens with either mic or headset use.
Â
Typically takes around 10 mins before this happens, from cold (30 degc) start.Â
Â
If I exit call and then reconnect the audio works fine again for a short period (1 to 2 mins) of time but will then stop again. If I let the phone cool then audio will work ok on next call for longer, until phone heats up again then it stops.
I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased nokia 5235 two weeks back. The ringtone volume is very very low and most of the time I missed the calls due to it. Also audio output of songs is very low. Is this the problem with all nokia 5235 or probably with my handset. Kindly suggest the solution.

Tried it with two different headsets, and those headsets on a different devices, so I am sure it is the receptacle.
I like my iPhone 4S and I love to play guitat, but I'm not sure where join both in play can be a good idea or not. Instruments inputs (dB) normally aren't compatible with microphone input (dB) and If both were put togheter in play without any other equipment to make the change between them, It can be harmful to the input one - in these case the iPhone...

I tried to keep a hold of that thing until I could get myself a BT headset, but of course I managed to lose it. I am worried about wearing the MOTOACTV as my watch 100% of the time incase it rains, or when I wash my hands, or even sweat might get in the jack hole. where I can get some replacements?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia C5-00 mobile bought 5 months back. My phone's audio input and audio output are really bad. I have the latest software update i.e. 062.001. And recently I have given for service in a Nokia service station. But the problem is still the same. So how could I improve the audio of my phone. Or else is it the problem with Nokia C5-00.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got my Atrix 2 yesterday in hopes of it replacing my iPod touch as a music and phone device.I loaded up my stuff and went to my car to test it out (obviously through the headphone jack) and I was dramatically disappointed. I went straight to Amazon to look at the price of the latest iPod model! Sounds like a muffled tape deck. There are just plain out frequencies that are muffled or missing on the Atrix 2. Does not take a good ear to hear it either. I wish I could sit down with every person who looks at this or a Motorola engineer to show them.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHave a Atrix HD, about 6 months old. Today I went to make a call using a headset plugged into the headset jack, and nothing happened. The headset was not recgonized and all sound continued to come out the 'speaker'. (Either in "loud" speaker mode, or normal mode.) Tried another headset, same problem. Researched and went through the "check for debris and clean the jack" process with no improvement. Contacted Motorola support and they ended up offering to have it shipped to service center for repair/replace, but that means 7+ days without the phone. So I thought I'd check and see if anyone else has had such a problem.
Anyone else ever have headset jack "failure" like this on an Atrix unit? Oh, it also fails with a music player, or any other sound source, so it appears to be a general unit failure, not specific to any one app/function. I looked all over for some kind of setting to enable/disable the jack, but found nothing of use.
My 6303 has recently developed the problem that sometimes when calling or receiving a call, I cannot hear the caller although they can hear me. I also have the problem that when I connect my phone to a PC via USB cable, the PC crashes (serious error) which I will post separately.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 5.1.1 - my handsfree kit connects with iPhone still fine, but it has become impossible to hear any calls through it?! Whereas, I used to have an option to "choose audio output" (iPhone, speaker, or handsfree device), there is now only the standard built-in speaker option - as though no Bluetooth were connected. The handsfree device (Blueant S4) is connected and contacts synced, and still allows me to make calls - and yet, the audio of the phone calls can only be from the iPhone itself.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy my iPhone behaves in a way like it was switched into a docking station?
When I play a music (using iPhone speakers), the iPhone automatically switches from 'iPhone" into "docking station" after several seconds of playing a music.
I've already been resetting iPhone, cleaning the docking station port off - it's ok from the hardware point of view. Â

I had this same issue before sending it in for Nokia repair. For some reason my audio from listening to a earphone does not work right. I get a very low echo sound of the music and I don't get any voice. Podcast, I get silence and don't know why I get this issue. It does not have any water damage and has no scratches. I have screen protector on the front and back. Never had this issue with my HTC HD7. Now I did clean the jack input with a earpick and still the same issue. I don't want to send it in again to Nokia repair because I will be with out a phone for 3 weeks. Very upset and if I can't get it working then Samsung or HTC will be my next Windows phone 8 phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAudio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWondering if there is a way to get digital audio output through the USB ports for use with an external DAC. I'm wanting to use the Atrix via HD Dock as a good source component for my home stereo. If anyone has set something up along those lines, or using another solution, i'd like to hear about it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that the volume does not change at all when output is the car dock. E.g. lowering the volume does not actually decrease the volume until you get down to muting the device (which does still work). There are no problems when listening through the headphone out, but I don't wish to negate the functionality of the rather expensive Motorola Cardock. This is a major inconvenience as it generally causes an ugly distortion and could damage my car speakers.
