I love using Pandora while I'm in the car, but it's a battery drain. I use a normal 3.5mm plug for the audio, and all is good. But when I try to charge my Tour at the same time as using it for audio, I get a terrible screech over the music.
View 4 RepliesI have a T-Mobile S6 Edge, when I play any media with sound and the phone does ANYTHING else while sound is being played I get a loud distorted interference type sound. I can be playing music through an app, or local file, or watching a video with sound. Even if it's me locking the screen or rotating the screen it happens, also it doesn't matter if it's headphones, the phone's physical speaker, or a Bluetooth speaker it always happens.

I checked the options and there isn't a "mute" setting - I've changed the audio profile and that doesn't help.I can't figure out why it's recording the video with no sound. The voice recorder works fine so its not the microphone.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....
So, I've had my Tour for around 8 to 9 months now. its worked pretty well overall. I put it in a Seidio innocase right when I got it and got the matching dock so I can charge it in the case.About 2 weeks ago, it just wouldn't charge on the dock anymore. I can plug it in, and it charges fine.Noone else I know has a Tour so I can't see if theirs will charge on my dock. I can only say that the dock hasn't left my end table in months, hasn't been dropped, and likely isn't the issue.Has anyone else had this happen on the Tour?I'm less than 1 yr with the Tour, but I've NEVER bought the insurance through Verizon. Do, I have ANY recourse here?I believe the last time I investigated the coverage, I understood that there was nearly no reason to have insurance becasue the phone has a year warranty from the manuf, but I must go through Verizon to do anything.I wanna have my ducks in a row before going forward.I also bought the phone on my Amex bluecash which extends my warranties up to an additional year, so if I can find documentation that the phone has a year warranty with RIM, then in another couple months I can make a claim on my AMEX, of course they would only cover what I paid for it which I believe was 100, or maybe 150 as far my card charges show.Not sure which way to go with this.If there is something I can take apart and fix inside, I'm not against attempting that but I dunno what it could be.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAudio jack on my Tour. I have used the headphones that come with the device, a generic set of ear buds and a car adapter. Never had any problem with any of them until this morning. Plugged in the BB headset while at the gym and they never engaged. Music was playing over internal speaker but could not get it to come through headphones.I switched to the generic set but same thing happened. On the way home, same thing happened with the car adapter. I have tried wiggling the jacks when putting them in, battery pull and making sure everything except defaults are closed with no luck.

When i have the charger plugged in with the AUX cable i get interference when playing music from my phone, if i remove the charger and just have the aux cable plugged in via the dock i get no interference.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI thought that maybe this problem was related to the .484, but have since installed a .419 based hybrid (Driphter v6.3) and I'm still having the same problem.
What is happening is I am using the headphone jack with an aux cable to plug my BB into an external powered speaker. After every song, the volume will reset itself to a lower volume. Once I click one of the volume buttons, it returns to it's previous volume, but does this after EVERY SINGLE SONG. This occurs while playing music in Slacker, GrooveShark, AND the BB Music player, so it is not related to the software that I am using.
I have checked the options in the media player, and enabled/disabled AUDIO BOOST over and over again and it doesn't make a difference, though every time I enable audio boost, it shows the popup warning about volume levels, I select the box that says "Don't Show me this again", yet, everytime I enable or the audio boost this message still pops up.
This problem is driving me insane, it is impossible to listen to music unless I reset the volume after EVERY SONG. This is a replacement 9630 from Sprint, is it possible that it is the phone itself? Should I get ANOTHER replacement?
Any one need a cheap charging pod?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought myself another battery and a charger which I got to say that with my usage habits is pretty slick. What is interesting is that my standalone charger takes about 3 to 4 hours to charge up my battery while my phone charges batteries in about an hour.
Obviously the tour is utilizing the rapid charging technology. Does anyone know how this effects the long term battery longevity and daily battery life? I think I might be seeing better battery life with the 4 hour charger.
I was told by a friend thats its best to charge the device any chance you can even if its at like 90 or 95%, wouldnt this screw up the battery?

I don't know what went wrong, but the tip of my charger was really hot and was starting to melt. Better believe I'm getting Verizon to replace it! I'm just happy my Tour is unharmed, even if it is about to lose pow.

Whether it's with the home charger the phone came with or a car charger (from Verizon), the majority of the time, I do not hear the alert when a message comes in. This has happened to me with all of my Tours (on my 3rd replacement). I do not have any custom ring tones/alerts. All the alerts I use are the ones that come with the phone. I don't have any 3rd party apps which would affect the tones. Does anyone else experience or hear of this? If so is there a fix to this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Tour 9630, virtually brand new. I recieved my current phone barely two weeks ago from an insurance claim as my previous phone was stolen.
I was just headed to bed, I checked my phone a final time and had no issued. I always charge my phone on my nightstand next to my bed while I sleep. The instant I plugged the USB end of the power chord into the phone the screen went haywire. The screen is now saturated with a random pattern of colored lines. I cannot see or do anything. I tried battery out restarts and it did nothing. My phone has never been wet, never fallen or had any impacts, and is always in a silicone case. Again, this phone is basically brand new and the problem started the instant I began charging it tonight!What the heck happened and how the heck do I fix it!?
I just used my upgrade on the verizon blackberry tour 9630, I'm a big texter and absolutely LOVED my env2! Any helpful hints? Advice to a new user? I actually will not get my phone till next week.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got my Atrix 2 yesterday in hopes of it replacing my iPod touch as a music and phone device.I loaded up my stuff and went to my car to test it out (obviously through the headphone jack) and I was dramatically disappointed. I went straight to Amazon to look at the price of the latest iPod model! Sounds like a muffled tape deck.There are just plain out frequencies that are muffled or missing on the Atrix 2. Does not take a good ear to hear it either. I wish I could sit down with every person who looks at this or a Motorola engineer to show them.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 5.1.1 - my handsfree kit connects with iPhone still fine, but it has become impossible to hear any calls through it?! Whereas, I used to have an option to "choose audio output" (iPhone, speaker, or handsfree device), there is now only the standard built-in speaker option - as though no Bluetooth were connected. The handsfree device (Blueant S4) is connected and contacts synced, and still allows me to make calls - and yet, the audio of the phone calls can only be from the iPhone itself.

Wondering if there is a way to get digital audio output through the USB ports for use with an external DAC. I'm wanting to use the Atrix via HD Dock as a good source component for my home stereo. If anyone has set something up along those lines, or using another solution, i'd like to hear about it.

E.g. lowering the volume does not actually decrease the volume until you get down to muting the device (which does still work). There are no problems when listening through the headphone out, but I don't wish to negate the functionality of the rather expensive Motorola Cardock.This is a major inconvenience as it generally causes an ugly distortion and could damage my car speakers.
