My blackberry 9700 has started hanging quiet often. Also it always shows application storage memory full. Where as my memory card has a lot of space available.Few people said that the application storage is in d phone memory and not the media card, however applications that I have are only whatsapp, fancy smiley, shazam, Google talk, you tube, blackberry world, bbm, blackberry travel and protect. And other default applications like a calculator and file manager etc.Would this be the reason that it is working slow or not responding at times? I clear d log at least 3 times in a day but still the problem persists.
While trying to update my apps this morning, the 9700 hung up, as did the Desktop software.I rebooted both. The device works partially but I am missing key features like the browser. When connecting to the device through either the desktop software of the web, I enter the password, which appears to be accepted, then the device hangs again.I can't update or remove the software.I get connectivity through 3G but have no browser.
I was running it for like 2 weks and it was fine, all I use it for is to backup my phone..But today I tried installing an app through the BB Desktop Software, whenever I click on the applications seciton, it just says reading device applications...loading.........and hangs there forever.....I am thinking of installing v5......
I just got this Blackberry on Dec 31, '09.I installed the DM software from the CD and now I was going to attempt to synchronize my phone with the desktop for the first time. When I plugged the phone in to the PC, it immediately said there were updates available and I just kept hitting Next until it apparently started the 12-step update process. Now my PC has been sitting at the download step (Step 3 of 12) downloading the same module for over 30 minutes now.

I was updating the blakberry device software on my bold 9900. It was going good then during the " erasing applications" phase the process hangs. I have been waiting for 2 hours to g et it done but i am not sure if i am allowed to interrupt it as according to the message if i interrupt the process it will make the device unusable.
I have been using 9900 from last 6 months and now when I'm booting my fone, it boots completely and hangs on the desktop screen from atleast half to one hour. During that time only trackpad works but nothing happens. After 30 - 45 mins it starts working. Fone locks itself when backlight goes off. To see if the fone has started working we have to click lock button to see the screen.Have changed os, upgraded with 7.1 then downgraded with 7.0.0.540. Did security wipe, removed all applications. Still nothing is working. After every boot it takes more than 30-45 minutes to work normally.Strange behaviour.
My blackberry bold just wont boot, it hangs on 70% of the loading screen. i've tried it all:
Flop battery out, wait, put battery in - nothing Boot it up without SIM card - nothing Boot it up in safe modus - nothing Keep it on the loading screen for a night - nothing Keep battery out for a night - nothing Hook it up to computer - nothing (Computer sees blackberry, when it hits 70% loading connection lost. due the fact it wont connect to the computer i cant preform a nuke or a format..
updating of software, tried to update my software for my BB9900 and it hangs at the restore area where it says Database: Handheld key store. What do I do? I'm not sure if I should plug it out.
I bought a Bold 9780 about 3 months back and just recently it has started to give me trouble. It restarts on it's own and sometime just hangs. If I try to switch off the phone it just hangs.
I just purchased a BB Bold 9700. I installed the Desktop manager software on my computer, which went well. But when I connect my device, it just hangs, though it shows at the bottom that the device is connected
I recently bought a Blackberry 9700 from T Mobile, 5,0,0,351 platform 5,1,0,98 and each time i try to scan a friends bbm barcode nothing happens. I have tried diffrent computer screens and diffrent positions, sometimes the phone just hangs and i have to do a battery pull. I have downloaded OTA the new bbm because my desktop manager woont update it. It is not a big issue but i was wondering why it isnt working.I dont know if its ok to post a diffrent problem but i thought it would be easier to get an answer then to make another post. The 2nd problem i have is with voice dialling, it doesnt load if it has a big number of contacts, i fixed it by deleting most of my contacts. It works fine now, but i waz wondering if there is a way to fix this so i can have more contacts.
During the boot process, my status bar hangs about 2/3's of progress. Directly under the "E". After a few minutes, it will then continue. Anyone else notice this on theirs?
After upgrade my bold from 4.6 to 5.0, when system starts appear a message box with a text like this:"This mobile device contains confidential software and property of RIM etc..." at the end has a OK button but I can't click! I press the scroll, enter key, space key and nothing! If I don't click in this button I can't do anything in the phone!
If I pull over the batery and boot the phone, it's starts normally and this screen appear again and I stuck again!
My BB Model 9900 and OS7. Last night I reset my BB, during the re-start my BB hang. Then this code 'JVM Error 517' ...Reset. How to re-install and retrieve my data.
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'. In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have recently updated the BB Bold 9780 with RIM version 6.0 Packet 2475.Now it hangs a lot and draining my battery I tried downgrading it to the previous version but this seems not possible. Also its very anoying when the phone starts ringing and I want to pick it up, its not possible. There will be a sort of clock showing and the keyboard is completely blocked. The only solution is the remove the battery from the device and place it back in.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
I've owned my 9700 for nearly 2 months now and I'm still not used to the keyboard. I prefer my 8310's spaced out keys. has anybody replaced the 9700 keyboard with the Atlas keyboard?
I have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?
My Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.
First two locked up constantly and rebooted. All I did was:
Set up Yahoo Mail Download Google Maps, Point, Movies Download One Theme - 18 Icon BlackBerry 9700 Sync with Yahoo Contacts Sync with Lotus Notes Calendar Only. Back Up WiFi connection to home router Bluetooth headset
I have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.
The other day I walked into a Walmart that had a display of cell phones. There was the 9700 there. I have the 9000. I was really looking forward to upgrading to the 9700, but now I don't know. It's LIKE REALLY small. I love the size of my 9000, and I'm afraid I'm going to have times typing on the 9700 keyboard now.
I have no idea what's going on with my camera, when I open it, it keeps showing me a black screen and keep loading.
but my problem isn't like the others, cos it didn't show me message like, "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening camera again".
I found it out! You have to dismantle the phone, though. Walkthrough:
1) Remove the bottom plate with the branding (use guitar pick, small flat screwdriver, etc) 2) Remove and save warranty sticker in case the phone actually breaks. 3) Remove the two small screws on either side of the phone. 4) Using a guitar pick, small screwdriver, or case-opener tool, start on the sides of the phones slightly below the convenience keys and move down towards the bottom. On the bottom, there are three small clips that WILL NOT BREAK NO MATTER WHAT. Disconnect them. Then remove the keypad top first. 5) Slowly slide the pick/driver/tool from the bottom edges of the phone up until the volume rocker. One tab on each side should pop, but they are difficult. Take your time. 6) Grip the sides of the bezel and slide upwards. The top cover should come off along with the back chrome bezel (the one above the camera). 7) The phone will now appear very basic with only the trackpad and screen recognizable. On the white lower portion, several small, rectangular LEDs can be seen. 8) Use a preferred color of sharpie to color a large clear piece of packing or scotch tape, and cut it into 2mmx2mm squares. 9) Place one color square over each LED. Reassembly 10) Insert the keypad into the bezel bottom first, making sure that the screw tabs for the keypad are underneath the screw tabs in the bezel. 11) Holding this configuration, slide the bezel on top first. 12) Make sure the hole for the trackpad and the trackpad itself line up, this will assure you that the keypad is in right. Also look at the "frets" in the keypad. 13) Push on the bottom of the bezel until you hear at most three clicks (the three tabs locking back into place) 14) Run your fingers along the side with pressure to make sure that you snap in the single tab on both sides of the phone. 15) Insert and screw in the two small screws you took out before. 16 OPTIONAL) Put back the warranty sticker on the ORIGINAL side that it was on before. 17) Snap the carrier plate back into place. 18) You're done PICS TO FOLLOW
Is it possible to stream my recorded video from the BB 9700 to a PC without having to transfer it first from the SD Card to the PC?I can stream audio through blue-tooth fine but cannot stream video either through blue-tooth or Wi-Fi.
