updating of software, tried to update my software for my BB9900 and it hangs at the restore area where it says Database: Handheld key store. What do I do? I'm not sure if I should plug it out.
View 4 RepliesI have been using 9900 from last 6 months and now when I'm booting my fone, it boots completely and hangs on the desktop screen from atleast half to one hour. During that time only trackpad works but nothing happens. After 30 - 45 mins it starts working. Fone locks itself when backlight goes off. To see if the fone has started working we have to click lock button to see the screen.Have changed os, upgraded with 7.1 then downgraded with 7.0.0.540. Did security wipe, removed all applications. Still nothing is working.After every boot it takes more than 30-45 minutes to work normally.Strange behaviour.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated the BB Bold 9780 with RIM version 6.0 Packet 2475.Now it hangs a lot and draining my battery I tried downgrading it to the previous version but this seems not possible.Also its very anoying when the phone starts ringing and I want to pick it up, its not possible. There will be a sort of clock showing and the keyboard is completely blocked.The only solution is the remove the battery from the device and place it back in.

Device died, does not respond to anything, device manager says to change settings in computer control panel, followed the steps. Connecting and reconnecting device doesnt do anything, battery pull doesnt do anything, device manager can wake up the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night I setup my phone to perform the new software update as I went to bed so that it would do it overnight. This morning? App error 602 and 603 with a white screen of death. When I turn the phone on it says backing up data (which I'm pretty sure it did completely last night), and it does not go progress... almost like there is no data to backup. I can't restore to factory defaults and I can't connect to the Desktop Manager for any period of time. I can't think of anything that I could do unless there was a way to restore the phone to factory defaults without the phone being turned on.

However, none of her BBM contacts can see the changed picture.Her BBM version is 6.0.0.129.We have tried waiting for several days, soft resets, battery pulls, deleting BBM contacts and replacing them.She is a new Blackberry owner and has only 12 BBM contacts, none of which can see her updated status pictures. They can only see the BBM status picture she initially saved when she first started BBM.Interestingly enough, the text of her status messages are viewable as she changes the text. it is only the picture that won't update on her contacts BBM.

Since doing so the Map icon has dissapeared from my phone and on searching can't be found anywhere. When I look in my applications (installed and de-installed) it isn't there either. I've looked on app world to see if I could find it there to re-download, but can't find it there either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter doing the upgrade this week, I notice there are some glitches. I can no longer send a photo to a BBM contact directly - Send to BBM group is an option, not BBM contact. I can attach a picture from BBM, but with small thumbnails it can be difficult.
Some of my apps like Popup, no longer work. Might be more..just slowly trying them out.
I have BB Bold 9900, after i have the last update (7.1), i don't have any language in my mobile like Arabic Language, and its very important for me.

The overall backup progress is at 6% and will not move at all.This is my business phone and it needs to work ASAP.I'm completely annoyed (though not surprised) that this has happened. The phone will not connect to the computer so I'm basically stuck with whatever I can do via the phone. I've removed the battery three times already and the same thing happens.

It also says that I can not unplug it mid instal or my phone will become unusable. I am truly stuck here and do not know what to do. I need to unplug my phone.
