View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using 9900 from last 6 months and now when I'm booting my fone, it boots completely and hangs on the desktop screen from atleast half to one hour. During that time only trackpad works but nothing happens. After 30 - 45 mins it starts working. Fone locks itself when backlight goes off. To see if the fone has started working we have to click lock button to see the screen.Have changed os, upgraded with 7.1 then downgraded with 7.0.0.540. Did security wipe, removed all applications. Still nothing is working.After every boot it takes more than 30-45 minutes to work normally.Strange behaviour.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a bold 9900. Problem is that the device reboots when using GPS. So I turned turned location services to off. I tried to upgrade the OS to v7.1.0.714. Still no chance in using the GPS without the device rebooting. I wiped the device and again same problem.
People most often send the phone back to the mobile carrier but I was wondering if any other solution exist?

I will find that the logon screen as gone to a white background and when I log in all my icons seem to have shrunk to a very tiny size, some are missing and I can read email but not respond. Have reformatted it twice but issue still pops up again. Can almost guarantee it will happen if the system is rebooted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, so as a student, coming back from the US to my home country, I had to change the sim card on my BB to use my phone and its features.
It asked me for my bb id and security password. I tried my default password (which had worked when I was moving to the US in the first place) but for some reason it did not work. I did what every normal person would do and set the password reset option.
It did not work and I tried every possible password till 9/10 attempts had been made. So I decided to just back up my stuff and do the data wipe. But then, after 10/10, all it did was lock me out for 15 minutes. So I took out my sim card and put it back in again, and suddenly, my phone was working fine! i don't know how, but I wasn't complaining. But then I have to reset the phone for some reason and voila! Security password being asked again and Im locked out again.
So in short, is there anyway I can get my password to work or at least do a data wipe so I can access my phone.
I've been having a problem with my memory card recently.
If I restart my phone with the memory card inserted, my phone just hangs on the Nokia white screen and does nothing, but upon removal of the card it starts up fine...
After the phone starts up, I usually re-insert said memory card and everything works fine untill now, after inserting the card, my phone jams up and won't respond to button presses or screen touches....
I've removed the faulty memory card from the phone and done a chkdisk on it, with Windows doing all the repairs to the corrupted files and reinserted it but it still jams the phone up whenever I insert it....
Did a hard reset on my phone and reinserted my card and now it's stuck at a dialogue box thats says : Installing
Are there any ways that I could get it working again without loosing important data on the memory card?

ive downloaded an official OS update 7.0.0.590 and installed it on my pc. ive tried to upgrade the OS on my phone to fix the poblem, but in the dialog box where it says there are no updates available, there is no link to show view other version to install and am stuck with this error.
