So I am trying to update my bold through blackberry desktop manager and it has been stuck on the instal phase model 656 of 888. It also says that I can not unplug it mid instal or my phone will become unusable. I am truly stuck here and do not know what to do. I need to unplug my phone. I am fine operating it on the old software but I am just scared that if i unplug it my phone will be fried.
View 5 Repliesmy blackberry bold 9900 randomly freeze and i have to reboot its before it works again and when i lock the phone it wont unlock and the screen stays black, then i have to reboot it to before it works again.sometimes when i have a message the LED blinks but the phone wont unlock .. so that means the phone is not off when i lock it and the screen stays black it is still on but it wont unlock with any key and the screen wont even come on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a bb 9900 bold from Egypt (made in Hungary unlocked).but the problem is,in the second day after buying.for one time when I make any call I can't hear anything and then it got frozen.but after a few hours it sorted itself out and worked properly(and I did not remove the battery).I just want to know what happened and should I have to go to the shop and exchange it if that serious?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI attemepted a OTA software update on my 9930. Yeah yeah yeah i know i'm a moron and shouldve done a wired update. Problem is the update is froze on 14% (has been for over 6 hours). Tried battery pulls, plugging it into my laptop, looked all over the place online. I'm not able to cancel the update. I've got a back up from a few months ago on my computer so i'm not even worried about wiping out the phone but i cant even figure out how to do that!

Bought a new Blackberry 9900 Bold and migrated contact data from old IPhone. Was working OK except that incoming calls were not showing contact name. Tried to hard boot by taking out battery and SIM and reinserting. The devise took to Blackberry id screen. Aftet putting the password showing "Please wait" sign and not logging in.Tried logging in with same password on the computer and password OK. Very frustrating. Read about Data Wipe option - not sure if that would remove all contact list. Any other option ? Dosn't seem a fix available.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a bold 9900. Problem is that the device reboots when using GPS. So I turned turned location services to off. I tried to upgrade the OS to v7.1.0.714. Still no chance in using the GPS without the device rebooting. I wiped the device and again same problem.

I reset the password from my PC and used the new password on my new device and I keep getting the following message: "Unable to log in to your BlackBerry ID account" How can I fix this problem as I am not able to install any updates or install apps from BlackBerry App World.

I have followed all of the troubleshooting tips but DM manager still won't respond when my new 9900 is connected. I have no problems connecting my 9700 and PlayBook.
How can I move icons to the main screen on Bold 9900 device so when I turn on the device the icons appear. Currently, I have to touch arrow at bottom middle of screen and swipe up to have the icons appear.

Device died, does not respond to anything, device manager says to change settings in computer control panel, followed the steps. Connecting and reconnecting device doesnt do anything, battery pull doesnt do anything, device manager can wake up the phone.

App error 602 and 603 with a white screen of death. When I turn the phone on it says backing up data (which I'm pretty sure it did completely last night), and it does not go progress... almost like there is no data to backup. I can't restore to factory defaults and I can't connect to the Desktop Manager for any period of time. I can't think of anything that I could do unless there was a way to restore the phone to factory defaults without the phone being turned on.

However, none of her BBM contacts can see the changed picture.Her BBM version is 6.0.0.129.We have tried waiting for several days, soft resets, battery pulls, deleting BBM contacts and replacing them.She is a new Blackberry owner and has only 12 BBM contacts, none of which can see her updated status pictures. They can only see the BBM status picture she initially saved when she first started BBM.Interestingly enough, the text of her status messages are viewable as she changes the text. it is only the picture that won't update on her contacts BBM.

Since doing so the Map icon has dissapeared from my phone and on searching can't be found anywhere. When I look in my applications (installed and de-installed) it isn't there either. I've looked on app world to see if I could find it there to re-download, but can't find it there either.
