Oct 24, 2011I just got wind of the 7.1 os update for Bell Mobility and so I was updating via OTA and it got to the back-up screen and now it just stays there.

Feb 8, 2012my blackberry bold 9900 randomly freeze and i have to reboot its before it works again and when i lock the phone it wont unlock and the screen stays black, then i have to reboot it to before it works again.sometimes when i have a message the LED blinks but the phone wont unlock .. so that means the phone is not off when i lock it and the screen stays black it is still on but it wont unlock with any key and the screen wont even come on.

Oct 23, 2011I've just bought a bb 9900 bold from Egypt (made in Hungary unlocked).but the problem is,in the second day after buying.for one time when I make any call I can't hear anything and then it got frozen.but after a few hours it sorted itself out and worked properly(and I did not remove the battery).I just want to know what happened and should I have to go to the shop and exchange it if that serious?

May 14, 2012So I am trying to update my bold through blackberry desktop manager and it has been stuck on the instal phase model 656 of 888. It also says that I can not unplug it mid instal or my phone will become unusable. I am truly stuck here and do not know what to do. I need to unplug my phone. I am fine operating it on the old software but I am just scared that if i unplug it my phone will be fried.

Jul 31, 2012I bought a Verizon Bold 9900 and it's been working wonderfully well for the first 4 months. A few days ago I connected my phone to my laptop and did a sync on blackberry desktop manager. I think I might have also updated the software of the phone. But the basic intention was to backup my data (which hung half way). I woke up the next morning and my phone was switched off. Whatever I try, the phone only blinks red every few seconds but does not switch back on. I have tried using my friends bold 9900 battery but that didnt work either (so battery is not the problem). I am afraid this might be a software problem. Now I can't get this phone replaced from Verizon and need a fix because I really can't afford to purchase another phone like it!

Aug 26, 2010A few days ago I switched to another phone for a few days and I left my Bold with its battery removed for a day or two.When I restarted my Bold 9700, I've been unable to see or act on the home screen or apps screen. However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.
I did search to do a reset of my handset but I can't find a way to do it knowing that I can't access the menus.

Jun 1, 2010I currently have an SMS app called Crunchsms. Anyway, got a notification today that an upgrade was available (v2.8 > v2.9). Upgraded and it asked me to reboot, as per normal. Handset rebooted, put in my pin, and the home screen is frozen. Yet if I hold in the blackberry menu key, I can choose and select other destinations (i.e. WnW, Messages, Maps, etc).I can call my handset from another phone with no problems and can answer the calls ok.
I have been getting the little arrows in the top right corner of the phone, which leads me to believe the handset was downloading something, but its been like this for about 20 minutes now. Have rebooted again twice and have taken the battery out and replaced it, same end result.

He needs to remove the battery to do a hard restart, after that it will be working fine and freeze again. He needs to keep doing hard reset.
