I have been having trouble with my trackpad since i downloaded os 6. The trackpad freezes on one icon or refuses to scroll. I end up having to reset my phone multiple times a day. I read online that if i downgrade back to os 5 the issue goes away. How do i downgrade using the blackberry desktop software? is there a better fix?
View 1 RepliesI currently have an SMS app called Crunchsms. Anyway, got a notification today that an upgrade was available (v2.8 > v2.9). Upgraded and it asked me to reboot, as per normal. Handset rebooted, put in my pin, and the home screen is frozen. Yet if I hold in the blackberry menu key, I can choose and select other destinations (i.e. WnW, Messages, Maps, etc).I can call my handset from another phone with no problems and can answer the calls ok.
I have been getting the little arrows in the top right corner of the phone, which leads me to believe the handset was downloading something, but its been like this for about 20 minutes now. Have rebooted again twice and have taken the battery out and replaced it, same end result.
I am having major issues with my Blackberry Curve 9300.The trackpad constantly freezes for up to 15 hours at a time. During this time the device is useless. I cannot scroll left to right, but sometimes I can still select by pressing the trackpad. This still make it useless as I cannot scroll to what I want to select.Pulling the battery does not fix this. I have good app memory so that's not the issue.

I tried to remove and re-place the battery, it didn't work, the red LED light didn't blink at all. I replace it with the fully charged battery, and it still won't turn on. I tried to plug it with wall charger, and it still blank, as if it dead. what should I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty).This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
my blackberry bold 9900 randomly freeze and i have to reboot its before it works again and when i lock the phone it wont unlock and the screen stays black, then i have to reboot it to before it works again.sometimes when i have a message the LED blinks but the phone wont unlock .. so that means the phone is not off when i lock it and the screen stays black it is still on but it wont unlock with any key and the screen wont even come on.

Hey guys. It seems like sometimes my phone lags or freezes for a little bit when I delete a message. It definitely does it when I delete a SMS that isn't that short. Anyone else having issues with that and any resolutions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I switched to another phone for a few days and I left my Bold with its battery removed for a day or two.When I restarted my Bold 9700, I've been unable to see or act on the home screen or apps screen. However, the phone is still working (push on the green button and the phone screen pops up), same with the long press on blackberry key.
I did search to do a reset of my handset but I can't find a way to do it knowing that I can't access the menus.
My office mate from US has a 9780 with AT&T arrived in Singapore. He managed to get connected to the data and voice without problem, but his phone freezes very often. He needs to remove the battery to do a hard restart, after that it will be working fine and freeze again. He needs to keep doing hard reset.

Problem is the update is froze on 14% (has been for over 6 hours). Tried battery pulls, plugging it into my laptop, looked all over the place online. I'm not able to cancel the update. I've got a back up from a few months ago on my computer so i'm not even worried about wiping out the phone but i cant even figure out how to do that!

View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently my lock button at the top hasn't be working properly, it will lock, but then won't unlock until he 10th push. Also the trackpad sometimes does not scroll up, only left and right. Also some of my letter/number keys (all the ones under the trackpad) haven't been working the first time I press them! Also the camera button isn't working sometimes, it clicks to take, but doesn't do the first mini click to focus. And lastly my ALT button hasn't been working sometimes. I've done reboots and it doesn't help. The wierd thing is, all the problems are intermittent.

Usually up to the top repeatedly, nothing will stop it. A battery pull usually puts it straight for a little while. I read on Crackberry of similar problems, I find if I clean the trackpad it seems better for a while. Is this a software issue or hardware issue? How can I fix it.

Before the update I was having trouble with my Trackpad, so I deleted the social feeds and blackberry messenger as an attempt to improve the battery, the battery did improve and so did the problem with the trackpad. But when I did updated my phone software blackberry messenger had come back and I was unable to delete it and then the trouble with the Trackpad started again. If that is the trouble how can I delete it so I can use the trackpad again?

It wouldn't sense my finger as usual, it was very choppy and I had to repeat the movement multiple times before it responded. I tried a hard reset, increasting the sensitivity of the trackpad, and cleaning the track pad with no results. The only thing that works is to use some sort of fabric between my thumb and the track pad, then everything works perfectly.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy trackpad on my bold 9900 is not responding to swipes at all, i have adjusted the sensitivity, tried many battery pulls, tried wiping it with paper (suggested by someone on Internet) but nothing is happening, i would say that it is a hardware issue as nothing has been changed in relation to the software and the touch screen is still responding fine.

My Bold 9780 started having glitches a couple of months ago. The P & del buttons started doin weird stuff then one night the phone switched itself off. I had to do the taking the battery out thing to get it on but it continued to switch off. I searched the net and found a solution. I took the battery out for a while then gave it a long 24hr charge. This got the phone working again. I still had a few problems with the p but nothing to serious. Over the last week the problem with the p started to happen again and 2 nights ago the phone switched itself off again. I did exactly what I had done before and it worked but once the phone is on I cannot scroll the trackpad on the main screen which means i cant do anything. if i push a few buttons i can get onto the search screen and get onto the menu where the scroll works but if i get into certain apps like messenger it doesnt scroll again. it also has been switching itself on and off again. when it first started i could still connect it to the desktop software, now i cant even do that.
