My BB Bold 9900 is 3 days old!!! It has just switched off and will not switch back on, its not the battery as I have even put a new second new battery in? What's wrong with the phone?
View 1 RepliesI HAVE A BLACKBERRY PHONE THAT I BOUGHT RECENTLY,I REALIZED THAT WHEN I TURN IT ON IT STAYS ON FOR ABOUT A MINUTES THEN THE BACK LIGHT ON THE PHONE TURN OFF AND THEN THE PHONE DOES NOTHING MORE,ITS LIKE THE PHONE FREEZE UP,I REALIZED THAT I CAN STILL SEE THE MENU OPTION ON THE SCREEN EVEN THOUGHT THE BACKLIGHT IS TURNED OFF.I THOUGHT IT WAS A SOFTWARE ISSUE SO I REINSTALLED IT AND THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS...IM NOT SURE IF ITS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CIRCUIT BOARD ON THE PHONE.

A few days ago I connected my phone to my laptop and did a sync on blackberry desktop manager. I think I might have also updated the software of the phone. But the basic intention was to backup my data (which hung half way). I woke up the next morning and my phone was switched off. Whatever I try, the phone only blinks red every few seconds but does not switch back on. I have tried using my friends bold 9900 battery but that didnt work either (so battery is not the problem). I am afraid this might be a software problem. Now I can't get this phone replaced from Verizon and need a fix because I really can't afford to purchase another phone like it!
