I usually do a battery pull every 3 or 4 days. I always send my service books by way of my laptop from the T-Mobile website. When I am not at my desk and want to send servicebooks what is the easiest way of doing this on the handheld? (9700)
View 4 RepliesI have a strange problem since yesterday. Out of the blue my 9700 (5.0.0.442, free device, Vodafone Germany) can no longer connect to the Internet. The connection to the BIS, however, is still there. It lacks only the right service books. Vodafone said that I should do a software update -> so I installed 5.0.0.536. But the problem persists. The Vodafone-BlackBerry support is then determined that posting the service books hang in a "queue" and can not be delivered. They created a new BIS account for testing, even there the problem exists.My carrier says I have to replace the 9700. But I don't think, that this is a hardware problem.

Vodafone DE MMS transport
Provisioning
Akkupulls, resending service books, wiping and new firmware install brought no improvement. I just despair.
Every data connection with no BIS requirement works. (e.g. weather apps)
I'm having is when I go to send the service books to activate email I keep getting update failed I tried the diagnostic test and manually sending the books. I was wondering if I can replace the verizon email service books with att's books also if that is possible what books will I look for in crackutil any help is appreciated

I have read several forums and contacted my operator and done the following:try to register again, deleyed the service books and asked for new ones (i couldnt receive the service books)reinstalled the O/S after wiping and resetting factory settings using javaloaderstill cant receive the service books, however my fone register, what else can i do ?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI keep receiving messages from RIM network on my handheld. They state that the message is used to carry data between the Blackberry handheld and an associated server and advise me not to delete, move or respond.
Anyone have any idea as to how i can get these messages not to appear constantly?
I just updated my Blackberry Bold 9700 and now I can't get past this screen with the proprietary acceptance text. I have tried the following unsuccessfully:
1. Taken the battery off and put back on and re-booted.
2. Tried to update the software again by connecting to my laptop.
3. Taken the battery off, then put battery back on, when red light turned off, I pressed the escape button to possible start in safe mode. didn't work.

how can i use my BBM? when i'm trying to log in it displays "Service not enabled for this handheld." my service provider adviced me to register here, i've done so yet can't use my BBM, as well as the other applications here in my fone(Bold 9700)..
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a Blackberry Curve 8900. I'm on a network in Ireland called Meteor but my phone is an unlocked Orange UK phone. Last week Meteor starting supporting Blackberrys but i have no service books on my phone for Internet or MMS. I can't log into Meteor or Orange BIS website to get the service books and i don't have E-mail Setup on the handset to get them that way either. I have rang Meteor and Orange and neither seem to know how to get my Internet and MMS up and running. I don't think that it has anything to do with Orange anyway seeing as the phone is unlocked and I've been using it on the Meteor network for the past year just without certain functions. I've tried a battery pull and I've tried the Register Now function through the Host Routing Table option. Nothing seems to work and it's really starting to bother me.

o2 say that all settings on the phone and their internal networks are correct. I send off to register the device, I never recieve a message back from BIS
I've been trying to get this sorted for 7 days now and I am so close to throwing the thing in the bin. Are there any RIM/Blackberry employees on this board that can take a look at it or tell me why the service book message just isn't being sent?
FWIW I bought this phone off a friend, on the same network and PAYG and everything worked fine with their sim, I put mine in and it just won't work, no matter what.
I've wiped, reset, downgraded OS, upgraded OS, gone over all settings, talked to o2 online, by phone, in store god knows how many times, and all i get is "register the device" IT DOES NOT WORK!
EDIT: I have an active blackberry bolt-on/data plan with o2

View 11 Replies View RelatedEverything seems to be working on my bb storm 9530. i have att plan.i cant send or recieve picture messages. i think either the service books are messed up or somethign else is wrong. i get no mms record found. i been reading and cant find a solution. if anyone knows an easy fix i can do from the handheld, great, but i dont want to do somethign dramatic like reinstall the os etc.

(This has happened before on another non-BB phone -- So I didn't think much of it) Then I tried to log in to the Yahoo Instant Messenger on the IM folder.Each one (MSN, YIM, AIM) gave me the error message of 'Service not Enabled for this Handheld device" I looked on Google, YES I do have a data plan, I went to my service provider about a different problem, (Close enough, it was about emails), and I DO have the Data plan.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got my BlackBerry Curve 8520 a few days ago and discovered that I cannot receive service books. The icon for my mailbox for my supposedly created email does not appear on my phone after creating it on the BIS. I tried resending service books a thousand times already but nothing. No icons for email showed up on my phone's home screen and not a single service books received. I tried pulling out the battery already, deleting my email and re-adding it up on the BIS, had my account deleted on the BIS and registering my phone again but nothing seemed to work. I still cannot receive service books and no email icon seemed to appear. I even updated the OS of my phone to v5.0. Everything on my Blackberry is working except for my email and service books problem. I also tried going to Options > Advanced options > HRT > register. I also did a Wipe Handheld on my device but nothing changes. My data plan is active and GPRS is in all caps.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an 8350i on Nextel and i have loaded OS 5 onto it. (a little background incase you arent aware.. Nextel has not yet released OS 5 but SouthernLinc has and ive been using SouthernLincs version of it for the 8350i for about a month or so with NO issues) I really dont want to have to reload my OS back to 4.6 as there are some major upgrades on 5.0 for the 8350i. You guys think it might be that im running OS 5? I also have the "Boostberry" configuration (aka i have a normal nextel data plan instead of a bb plan) ive had this for about 6 months atleast now without any troubles. So 3 times over the week or so ive turned on my device and had it "register with the network" then i go to compose a sms message or place a call and i get service book not found errors. I reload the service books and it works great for a few days then it happens again. You think its because of running Southernlincs OS 5 thats just not causing me issues or any other ideas of what it may be?? I dont want to downgrade back to 4.6 and spend an hour loading everything just to find out that wasnt my issue.

I have downloaded and installed combined 3 and still no results. in the desktop manager it shows 23 SB but only installs 5-6 SB. I have the latest software and still only a partially functional boost berry.

I am a very heavy email user and at .02 cents a kb, I would need a mortgage to pay for all that email.Will deleting the service books for these accounts stop the email from coming in until I can download all email to my laptop; and then download service books?I am a longtime bb user, but the new BIS interfaces do not have a way to turn specific email accounts on and off like they used to.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been informed that when I send an email with an attachment (whether its "attach file" or "send picture as email") the attachment is not on the recipients email.
I have tried emailing myself pictures from my camera to save on my laptop, and there is just no attachment on Outlook! I have logged into my gmail on web browser too, and still no attachment.
Does anyone know how to resolve this, i have tried selecting the size as "small" when prompted to see if that makes a difference.
I recently set up a new email address, i cant remember ever having problems before doing this.
I can take a picture and then send it right away(FB) - but if I save the picture I cannot find where the option is to send it. I can see all the pictures but I cannot open them from the thumbnail. I have a Bold 9700 ATT with a data plan on BES.

View 10 Replies View RelatedHas anybody else experienced failures with this phone? I replaced my curve with a 9700 on an upgrade, only to have the brand new Bold 9700 completely die after 6 days. The next one lasted 14 days, and now I sit with my third broken 9700 that went a whopping 2 days.
Every time, the phone will be sending a text and then shut itself off. When I try to do a hard restart by pulling the battery, I get a constantly glowing red LED for a few seconds.Before getting the third phone, I had my SIM card replaced, memory card replaced, and got a whole new set of charging cords. Heck, I hadn't even charged it since I picked it up...
I recently upgraded to a 9700 from a 8900 two months ago, and recently ive noticed at times my messages through the messenger seem to take an AGE to go through.Also most recently, ive been receiving messages really late aswell, and this can be upto 12-24 hours later.Im on t-mobile(uk) and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? My handsets software version is 5.0.0.423.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have a bold 9700, version 5.1.0.146, recently i have had issues sending texts to only a couple contacts, always in a certain time frame of the night after midnight. my time. I can send and recieve texts from other contacts. It is not this other persons phone.I have tried both reset options numerous times, i do notice once the phone comes back on i have new messages, that are actually old already read messages. So it seems the memory is goofy. i have changed my text delete time from 30 days to 15 days, and have cleaned up some memory in other areas. After midnight i seem to also get old messages poping up at the bottom of the screen as if they were just recieved. its sooooo weird! someone please help its getting very annoying.

BBM works fine, internet works fine and email its just the calls and texts in and out????
I have restored the phone and done all necessary updates but it still doesn't work, the SIM card is fine as ive put it in another phone and it does everything it should.
