Recently I bought a second hand Bold 9000. The first time I used I somehow managed to delete the entire contacts folder while making calls. I hadn't worked out how to sync it with my macbook so I have no back-up (I do now).I don't care about the small number of contacts I'd added to the folder, I just want to get a contacts folder on the phone again.
View 1 RepliesI was reprogramming my speeddials and assigned one to the q key.Now I've lost the keylock shortcut which used to be there.can I get it back?I know about making shortcuts by disabling the "dial from homescreen" option.That's not what I want.I want to go back to holding the q (or *) key and locking my keyboard like I used to be able to.

When I read another post on the fourm they indicated to take the battery out for 8 hours and replace it I did and boom he ed light appeared and I tried to quickly connect to desktop manager and download 4.6 and midway through the bold went dead again no red light nothing. After multiple attempts it came on again but for only 5 min and went out. I have critical data I need to recover. Any suggestions ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was using my Blackberry Desktop manager last night to move a video from my laptop to my BB Bold 9000.Now, in the move from my "computer" to a folder on my media card, it DELETED all the videos I had in that folder.I know there were there before I made the move as I saw them located on the bottom part of part of the manager. Then, they were gone.The reason I am in suck a worry about getting these back is they are very personal videos for me. (Of my daughters 1st words, steps, etc)I NEED to get these back.

After downloading and installing the new OS version 5, I seem to have lost all my Notes. Have I lost them all permanently, or are they located elsewhere I have not seen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my blackberry about 4 months ago and it has been working fine with SIM cards from different countries, until now! My provider is O2, and I lost my SIM card and so I had to get a new one to replace it, and after it has been registered and everything sorted out from the provider's side, I found out I cant make any calls, send texts nor receive calls on my phone! Sim card works fine, as I have tried using it on a different handset. So it is my blackberry. Is it the settings I have to change? I hope I don't have to send it for repair.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter I set the date of my BB Bold 9000 to 6 July 2015 I lost all previously received email messages and text messages. It is amazing that this can happen without any warning. This is definitely not the first time I'm loosing all my data. It's so frustrating that I'm considering strongly to leave BlackBerry and switch to another make.Also a helpdesk you can call to and speak to a real person seems to be not in place at BlackBerry. Maybe they hate customers?

But everything got erased from the 9000 (contacts, everything!) and nothing got uploaded to my 9700. Is there any way I can find the lost info??? I am pretty sure i never did a back up from the 9000. I cant believe I lost all my contacts!!!

Not sure what happened, but now when I take pictures, I can only view them if I explore and go to the pictures folder. How can I go back to viewing all pictures? Any help for a rookie?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought my bold 9900 last november and back then I connected the phone to the computer and switch from the 9700 that i own previously. Since then I never connected the phone to the computer again until yesterday to update the software. In the middle of my first attempt to update there was a crash so I started again but for my surprise after de update has finished and i reinitiate the handset it seems that almost eveything was wiped out, I had to reinstal all the applications and when the phone was on it came the option the contacts from sim to be installed but then i have some contacts missing and part of the info of some of the ones that still there are also missing, the weird thing is the pictures that i had in the phone are all there.... DO you think theres anyway to get the contacts back? SHould I restore from the backup of the 9700 that i did when i bought the new phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.

i have a blackberry originally bought from the UK from a store with no contract so it was never registered in the UK. I brought it back to canada and got it unlocked and now am using it on FIDO, no problems with data everythings good.I can't seem to add any international contacts on BBM, well thats a guess, I've only tried adding UK pins and it just stays in pending and the other contact gets nothing, they try adding me and it stays in pending while i get nothing. I can add all canadian pins no problem? I called FIDO they said there is no block on my account of any sorts so it must be on RIMS side, i called rim they tried charging me 49$ to "look into the problem", I dont have 49$ to blow, so is there any other solutions or anything before i am forced to pay it?

Currently I have a new bold 9000, I tried to copy my sim card contact to the address book on bold. It came out to be only 200+ contact were shown on my bold, the rest of the 600+ contact was not copy to it. It shows the wrong number but under the name I am searching for. 3-4 times I called wrong person because my bold showed and dialed a different number for the name I am searching for. I don't know how to solve this.When I type the name of the contact I'm looking for my Bold 9000 displays the list of contacts as usual but the phone number of the contact is wrong. I have to scroll to another name on the list then scroll back to the name I was looking for in order to get the phone to display the correct phone number. I have been using this phone for quite some time and had always worked fine. This problem began yesterday. I do not sync the phone (never have, probably never will). I have not made any changes or added any software. The only thing I have done recently is added more contacts.I have also noticed that it is slower than usual when searching for names and it takes a long time for it to recognize that I have typed more charcters in the contact name before updating the list of results.
