Jul 17, 2012I just bought a BB Bold 9930, but still have lots of files on an old Palm Treo. It's about one thousand phone numbers and addresses + one hundred memos, of which several should be private or coded.Is there any way/method to facilitate the transfer or do I have to do it manually, one by one - first writing them anew on my computer and then transferring them to my BB? Three questions in this context:
1. The phone book entries: How do I proceed?
2. The Memos: I have succeeded in transferring them to my PC, so they are now in .txt format. How should I best proceed to transfer them to my BB?
3. Some of the Memos should continue being private/protected - how to transfer them? And in what order to undertake these different steps?

Mar 16, 2010Previously I saved my 800++contacts to my sim card using a Sony ericsson phones. Currently I have a new bold 9000, I tried to copy my sim card contact to the address book on bold. It came out to be only 200+ contact were shown on my bold, the rest of the 600+ contact was not copy to it. Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
BB Bold 9000 :: Transfer Birthdays Automatically To My Calender?
May 4, 2010Recently, I upgraded my old os to v4.6.0.304 however though, I lost all my birthday reminders on all my contact list. The birthdays are there in the contacts but is not automatically updated to my calender. Same with my facebook. Before I updated my os, all my contacts + facebook birthday would show but not it doesn't. Isn't blackberry suppose to transfer birthdays automatically to my calender?

Jun 6, 2010I have a Bold 9000 that keeps going to contacts no matter what icon I click on.I tried upgrading the OS and the phone worked fine for about an hour and then went straight back to only going to contacts. The same thing happens when I downgrade.I am unable to make calls or do anything from the contacts list. The phone is basically unusable.
I have tried the upgrade and battery pull and restore from back up.Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how to fix it.
I'm using 5.0.0.681

BB Bold 9000 :: Can't Seem To Add Any International Contacts On BBM
Jan 14, 2010i have a blackberry originally bought from the UK from a store with no contract so it was never registered in the UK. I brought it back to canada and got it unlocked and now am using it on FIDO, no problems with data everythings good.I can't seem to add any international contacts on BBM, well thats a guess, I've only tried adding UK pins and it just stays in pending and the other contact gets nothing, they try adding me and it stays in pending while i get nothing. I can add all canadian pins no problem? I called FIDO they said there is no block on my account of any sorts so it must be on RIMS side, i called rim they tried charging me 49$ to "look into the problem", I dont have 49$ to blow, so is there any other solutions or anything before i am forced to pay it?
